Sushpective: Accused and Convicted

HI Guys,
What an episode ...right?

Let me start today's write up with a legal concept...It is ...when someone is accused of something, before convicting the person...there is a due process...First the accuser has to come up with evidence to show there is evidence... The evidence has to be convincing...There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty...There is a reasonable trial period...where the accused has a chance to know what evidence has been brought up against them and either refute it...or keep quiet...for whatever reason they may have to not speak up...but there is no conviction for being quiet...The evidence has to prove beyond a "reasonable doubt" that the accused has committed a crime.

Unfortunately in social scenes specially the ones set in India...the jump between accusation and conviction is really quick and is done without much due process...specially if the accused is a woman ...and specially if the accusation is about her moral "character".

Today, we see Arzoo going through a similar accusation and conviction! Her crime? She was helping a friend in need and is not willing to provide the details to anyone on what the matter was...

Why does she not speak up you ask...just like her accusers asked her today? Is it because of the promise she had given to Zaki...now that would be the simple explanation...Is it because she was thinking of the importance of not alienating relationships with Rehman ...who is so critical to the deal of Saahirs life time? Is it because she does not know the truth about Samaira and she would rather not open the door to raise questions about whose child it is ...at this moment? Is it because she knows the truth will come out ...very soon...This is just not the right time for her to start going down a path...so that she can clear her own name?

The possibilities are many...it is easy to say ...she could have ...she should have...but if she did...what would be the consequence? Who all would have gotten affected? Shouldn't that consideration have mattered? Is she acting like a sacrificial lamb or is she acting like someone who is buying time and will not hesitate in finding and presenting the truth?

What I did like in the whole screenplay the most...is that they have written enough detail in the script to give Saahir's character ...enough of a reason to believe that there is something going on between Zaki and Aarzoo...as much of a misunderstanding as it is...He has multiple pointers to make him have this MU...unlike Bituwa once upon a time who threw it all away...based on witnessing one hug...that was forced upon the damsel...

Overall quite FANTASTIC even though this was really DRAMATIC!!!

Tell me it's a lie...

Although, I don't think Arzoo's reaction to the whole thing was unreasonable and unjustified...It was still painful to see Saahir's heartbreak...🥺

Poor guy...he may not have admitted it...but his heart had already claimed Arzoo...Even after so many things pointing to Zaki and Arzoo being in love...he still hoped against hope ...that may be may be there is something Arzoo will say that will indicate all of this is a big understanding...well Saahir Miyan if only knew that all of it IS a big MU...but Arzoo is in a bind...and can't or won't defend her this time because the collateral damage is too high a price to pay...

But know...you will...one day...and things are going to be sweeter...because the pain you both have gone through before getting there...

BUT YOU DONT LOVE ME ...(do you?)

The scene between SaAz...was really charged...showing his conflict...not wanting to believe his eyes...but telling himself...it is the truth...acting in frustration...and letting it out on Arzoo...

You said I don't matter...my pain doesn't matter! You are a lier!!!! ( You broke my heart...don't you see it?)

Harshad was really good in this scene...very convincing!! Poor Arzoo...what is she to assume?

The games we play...

I am convinced today Samaira is playing a game...no 23 year old...I assume that's how old she is...reacts to pregnancy and that too one before marriage the way she is acting...daal mein kuch kala hei...for sure...for all you know Rehman and Mrs have out her up to it.."..now that Saahirs fortune are going to rise further...it's the deal...she can at least get Zaki and some of the piece of that pie...

All done...

Hi Sush ,

Fantastic post 👏 The screenplay and direction was top notch and of course Harshad took the scenes to a much higher level with his phenomenal portrayal of Saahir , job well done 👏 with good support from rest of the cast .

Quintessential Sush...I'm loving it! No one can analyse and present a convincing argument quite like you do! 😉 Your powers of persuasion are legendary! 👏

As you know I do have some serious limitations re this show but I do try to follow along , and without Sushpective I'd be totally lost and disinterested. Putting my reservations aside, I have to say the relationship dynamic is quite fascinating at the moment.

Shweta's gorgeous collages and insightful quotes remain a work of art ! 👏

Thanks to you both for your dedication and devotion to the cause! 😉

I agree with you completely Sush I believe in innocent until proven guilty. It why I am still open for the idea of "Saaz" because up till now Saahir has not been proven guilty.

But tell me on thing Sush, I am in my early twenties! Naive, dumb, innocent and idealistic as Saahir and this forum will label. Perhaps I should take advice from someone wiser and more mature like yourself. Most people seem to be upset with Arzoo due to the fact that she risked her reputation due to Zaki but seem to be perfectly fine if she had done it for Saahir and his business deal? Even though Zaki had chose to be there for her time and time again. Be it the jail incident when he spent the entire night in jail for here and when (Saahir had questioned Arzoo character there) he was even willing to spend an extra night in jail if that was what it took. He even helped her get the Mehta contract back again after Saahir had doubted her. Yes Saahir has done a lot for Arzoo as well! Maybe because Zaki is a flirt it is wrong of Arzoo to be helping him. But so far he has only been with girls like Samaira who themselves do not give a damn about their self-respect. Get excited for pre-maritial pregnancies? Has he ever taken advantage of Arzoo or her sisters? But it is fine if she does it for a business deal that Saahir cant live without? How important is this business deal? It more like gratifying his ego by proving himself to Zeenat? Who knows he has risked everything? he and his family might be on the street tmrw? So my basic question to someone not so niave and idealistic like Sush? Is it fair for Arzoo to risk her reputation for Saahir and not for Zaki? (because people here ship Saaz) Or is wrong in both cases or is it right in both cases?

For Saahir morals only seem important whenever Arzoo is around Zaki. If she enters Zaki's room at night she is a besharam dhokebaaz larki? If she enters Saahir's room at night? Than of course they are not doing anything wrong she needed to get Asharfi, or get him dinner, or fix his lamp. But there is only one reason for her entering Zaki's room or taking a picture with him.

Why should Saahir's respect and trust go away if Arzoo was genuinely love with Zaki? For all he knows, that could be true. I think it is more about him being heart broken than his trust breaking. His trust breaking is somewhat justified with Arzoo being pregnant with Zaki's child because if he is conservative he would believe this was some what immoral on her part. But if she was simply geniuenly in love with Zaki than she hasnt done anything to break his trust as of yet as she isnt commited to him?

P.S. 1 Don't mean to cause controversy. Please just excuse me as young, dumb, naive idealistic soul!

P.S.2 I didnt like the shove! Man-handling is man-handling!

fab post and shweta lovely collages as usual!

Hi Sush, love your sushpective and Swetha's collages. Your post along with the pictures always imparts a magical quality to the episode.
Today's episode was definitely dramatic. With loads of evidence against Arzoo, sahir couldn't even speak up...although his expressions were conveying desperation to prove her innocence. The last look he gave her had a plead in it...pleading her to tell the truth in order to defend herself.
Arzoo as usual was a promise baaz this time around. Main ek baar jo promise karti hoon tho apne apki bhi nahi sunti 😆
The SaAz scene was great..sahir showing anger, love, frustration and pain..all in quick succession. Poor Arzoo was once again confused.
Regarding Samaira and Zaki...the less said the better 😉
Very curious as to how they are going to ease the tension.
