hello everyone , thanx for your warm welcome of story , actually this story n characters are still very close to me , although i read this one years ago but still i can feel it 😳

n i m trying to give it on account of my memory n few written fragments which i jotted down at that time but unfortunately now i don't have it

GKD of DVB Part -I

Gunahon ka devta of DVB is a story of two souls , two innocent souls,

Who never realized what they want , never confessed their love for each other ,

Was living in each other's shade, at one hand Arpita's innocent love n care make Avdhesh feel special n worthy to live n face the harsh world ,retaining his soul pure like kid, at the other hand Avdhes's care n concern shapes Arpi's life , he make her feel , his care n suggestions make her worthy to call obedient girl ,.

This love was unknowingly flourishing under the cruel eyes of world n society of north india before the independence , where cast matters more then human qualities Arpi's father was retired proffecer of Allahabad univ. now under his guidance Avi was completing his PHD n at the same time helping him to run a women less house with a young girl Arpi who is just student of graduation . at that time persuing grad was a big thing for any girl of hindu society, but Dr. Shukla want her daughter to be a grad as he don't want to marry her daughter at early age .

Dr. saab use to be out of town for various conferences n behind him it was Avi's responsibility to take care of Arpi n her studies . when Arpi came to live with her father from her aunt's place she was rustic , rude big mouth but Avi make her civlised bz she was not listening to her father on contrary she always fight with him as he take her away from her aunt n hr cousin , but Avi always settle down that matter by his talks , n now the situation was completely opposite for rest of world Arpi was nice caring loving , girl but when it came to Avi she always ready to argue , makes fun of him , tease him on mere things but in these figths Avi n Arpi live their lives , happily when ever Dr. Shukla came home n find Arpi angry he get that she again fight with Avi n ask her '"kya hua Avi se fir ladaai ho gai kya?" n then she complain him about Avi that he was calling her mam Mrs. Elephanta , he said her friends are in coal business, n so many complains against Avi got filed in one take .To plese her he always says "aane do use achi daant lagaunga" n when Avi came out of his room she always stand out there n ask in teasing manner-"kaho kaisi data padi bachu ko !" n when it comes to feed Avi Arpi's love knows no limits, he always skip to have food in front of her .

Once Dr Shukla was out of town leaving some hand scripts for Avi to take them to his old student n turn them in typed material for debate in some seminar ,

Arpi-"Avi , here are those papers , papa want them by tomorrow"

Avi-"tomorrow! N u r giving me now at evening! N now plz tell me from where I can make it possible haan?"

Arpi-in anger "so what can I do u suppose to came in noon naa n u r coming now !

Btw papa has arranged it also , here is an address of his old christen student Miss P. Dicruse" go n tell her that papa has send you she will do it for you"

N listen you are coming after that naa! "

Avi-"no "

Arpi-"ok I will not disturbe you in your studies, when papa will return then hand over him these papers by your hands ok"

Avi '"ok !"

Arpi- one more thing , my exams are near plz arrange a tutor for me naa! How many times I have to beg u for that !"

Avi '"ok now I m leaving ."

Arpi-"aree suno too !

Avi-"now what , can't u tell a thing in one time!"

Arpi-"hume kya tumhare kaam ki baat thi, just be carefull with that giel haan! I have heard she has two big bulldogs if she don't like your any sentence , tum to gaye kaam se"

N she run away from his range as he lift his hand to give her shot.

After some time Avi arrived at the directed spot searching for Miss P cruse

He entered a old house with old wooden fences first he doubted whether someone live there or not but as he heard some voices so he dared to enter but before he can reach the main entrance someone hold him tightly from back n almost sit on his neck n shoulder ,

Avi tried hard to get rid of him n finally succeeded in throwing that man on ground he was about to hit him hard when he started to cry out loudly -]

"Pammi ! come fast see I have caught the thief ! You dirty fellow you always skip off but today I caught you !"

Avi was a bit shocked and annoyed to as he hit that man n he was struggling on ground , he should be crying out of pain but here he is calling some one n calling him thief !

At the same time someone came out from the backyard of house , she was in georgette pink gown as she was in bathroom n run out bz of his shout, she was young , pinkish white n beautiful at first Avi just looked at her but soon he realized what she was wearing so he shifted his sight from her to that man again ,'

Avi-"hey what the hell are you talking ! watch your words or you will feel sorry for it" n he stepped toward him in threatening manner.

Pammi-"hey just wait how dare you enter my property without my permission!"

Avi-"sorry mam but I was searching for someone n this address was given to me!"

Pammi-"ok then whom u want to meet, at least you have given any name too!"

Avi-"yes , I m here to see Miss Pamela Dicruse"

Man-"liar she is Pamela my sis , you are here to meet her n don't recognize her, Pammi I m telling you this man is thief of me Roses"

Pammi-"oh I m Miss Decruse may I know where do you find this address? I mean who send you to meet me?"

Avi ' "oh sure,Dr. Shukla send me to you he want these papers in typing if you can do this for him.."

Pammi cut him short-"oh Shukla Sir ! yeah sure anytime" n she grabbed the roll of papers n at the same time she realized her appearance "oh just give me two minutes" n she runs back toward the house .

Avi was standing there watching her going , she was beautiful although she must be years older to him but still she was looking very young . while The guy who attacked him was still standing there fuming at him . just after few minutes the front door of house opens n

Pammi appears threre '"here Mr'"

Avi-"Kapoor! My name is Avdhesh Kapoor."

Pammi-"oh , I m so sorry the way we met was quite messy n I forget to ask your good name , well Mr. Kapoor , Plz come in I will do it now you can take them with you , Berty leave the gentleman alone he is not your thief , he is my guest say him sorry for your behavior !"

Berty leaving Avi behind n heading towards the thick bushes of Jasmin '"no I will find that ****** , I m not going to say anything to anyone , he hits me back so why should I say sorry!"

Avi-"its ok , he didn't hurt me so much !" while stepping in house . It was a nicely decorated old colonial house , anyone can say that at a time that house must have all grandeur of a high place but still it was quite magnificent .

Pammi indicating Avi to sit on chair against the table next to her typing machine '"plz Mr. Kapoor make ur self comfortable , will be back in a while"

N after a while Pammi came back with two steaming cups of tea '"here is your tea Mr. Kapoor hope you will like it"

Avi-"oh thanx Miss Dicruse But I just had it"

Pammi-"are to kaam kaise hoga ! I can't type a single word without it n if you don't have it how can I ? you are my guest n take it as a sorry for my behavior, btw call me Pam or Pammi 'miss Decruse ' now I m not used to it"

Avi accepting the cup- "ok then you have to call me Avdhesh not Mr. kapoor , Pammi . If you don't mind can I ask about your brother ! what happened with him was he like this always or some incident"

Pammi starts her work with papers while replying Avi's que '"our lives are tale of miseries if I started you will never come back Avdhesh , but as I don't want to bore you so here listen his story '"

N Pammi tell everything about Berty how he loose his sences n why he is so obsessed with his Roses .

"he was a Army officer but in a war he got injured n had fracture in leg so he took voluntary retirement after that he get married some one but their love proved fickle n that girl fell in love with someone else but she never left Berty she nursed him in his illness but after few days she died due T.B. Berty can't bear it n loose his senses, he grew Roses whole year as his wife love roses n he used to do that for him but after her death he had nothing to do so I (Pammi) find a way to make him busy , I steal a rose everyday from garden n he thinks that guy whom his wife loved came everyday to steal his roses . this dilemma give him reason to live n don't want to snatch it from him"

Avi was shocked to hear his story earlier he want to laugh at that guy but now he feel pity for him.

Avi- "oh so sad I m really sorry about him"

Pammi '"oh you don't need to be ! I m happy that he is leaving n that's enough for me , we two are enough for each other." N she smiled in sadistic manner.

Avi-"so it mean you live here with your brother only?"

Pammi-"oh so you want toknow about my family life , well good question as I said we have lives full of miseries, Berty's wife left him n I left my home you must be thinking why ? or you can think me as a bad women !"

Avi-"oh no no ! theres nothing like that but if you don't want to share its ok !"

Pammi- (laugh_) "oh I m sorry ! actually now I hardly have any friend , Berty I always busy in guarding his roses today when I find you I just started . well there is nothing to hide Avdhesh well I got married had children but after few years my husband n me both think we never loved each other n I choose to move on , you know I can't live in cage ."

Avi- "well this is once own decision how to live his or her life you choose this its all your wish, must say you are a brave girl !"

While talking to Avi she almost complete the typing , n hand over it to Avi '"here you go Avdhesh , all done , n thanx for listening to me, I live alone here so some times need of friend is felt , hope I can call you my friend now , if you don't mind !"

Avi-"of course we are friends . well I think I should leave now its getting dark ." Avi turns to leave n Pammi follow him to door

Pammi-"Avdhesh ! ' uunnn if you don't mind can I expect you again when ever you got some time can you plz come , as I told youi don't have much friends now so you are my only friend now with whom I can share my feelings if you don't mind ."

Avi-"oh sure I will come , it was nice meeting you n thanxz for both type n tea it was really nice I like strong tea as it was , Arpita always force me to milk . I hate it!"

Pammi-"Arpita!"

Avi-"oh ! she is your sir's daughter n my friend , some day I will bring her along you will be please to meet her ."

Pammi '"oh sure , I will be waiting for you two, byee"

Next day at Arpi's collage

Class was going on but girls were busy in their talks finally Miss Umbalker their Homescience teacher find Arpi n GEsu talking "Miss Arpita stand up what were you talking to Gesu?"

Arpi-"nothing mam!"

MAM-"nothing ! just keepyour mouth shut , you girls always disturb my class, you n miss Gesu you just get out of my class n I will complaint your parents that you are not interested in studies anymore "

Arpi n Gesu took their books n start walking toward the door suddenly when the period bell rang n indicate that class is over , one friend of Arpi n Gesu shout behind "Arpi plz don't forget to send us latter/ Khat wat bhejna na bhulna Arpi"

N whole class burst in laughter . Miss Umbalker turns red out of anger she took her attendance register n leaves the class Arpi n Gesu were in class at that time as she step out of class Gesu turned n with all delicacy n tenderness she said "Bade Beaabroo ho ke tere Kuche se hum Nikle" n whole class roar in out of laughter once again.

After the class Arpi n her best friend Gesu were lying on grass in back garden of collage as it was girls collage they were taking all liberty even some times bunking classes too ,

Gesu was Arpi's best friend n they share all secrets of heart at this place , as Gesu was engaged now so she have lots of feelings to share with Arpi , about her love, her feelings , n her dreams , her love turned her poetess now n Arpi loves to hear her friends love quenched 'Sher' although some times her 'urdu ' bounce over her head but still she love them .

Gesu-"Baadshahon ki muattar khwaabgaahon me kahan

Wo maza jo bheegi bheegi ghaas pe sone me hai,

Mutmain befikra logo ki hansi me kahan ,

Jo maza ek doosre ko dekh ke rone me hai"

Arpi smiles a bit but didn't look back at Gesu kept staring at clouds in sky,

Gesu-"what are you searching in clouds my dear?"

Arpi-"nothing just watching those clouds how beautiful are they!"

Gesu sits back n place her head on Arpi's shoulder -
"Kaif Bardosh , badloon ko na dekh ,

Bekhabar , tu na kuchal jaaye kahi"

N she pinched Arpi on cheek hardly

Arpi- "haay/ oh myyy!"

Arpi shouted n sits back ,

"wow such a nice one , who wrote it ?"

Gesu ' "how do I know who wrote it ?but so true Arpi, to link your dreams with these clouds n live rest of life with them seems so beautiful but its very dangerous Arpi darling , it hurts one day for sure , so its better not to do that just live your life happily, n pass it in fun, laugh, eating n drinking just like normal ones ."

Arpi rearrange her pallu '"Gesu if we too don't have any boundation to marry n we can live our lives like this freely like birds like clouds then we can spend whole life like this having fun in classes spending noons lying on wet grass talking like this , its so wonderful to think , what yaar is this life of girls ,, why we have to leave our parents ? u know Gesu I will not marry anyone , if I got married then what who will lookafter Papa?"

Gesu for some time looked in Arpi's eyes with a devilish smile n then said-"oh ho now heeyou are, haha look at you what a age, looks , full on youth n saying will not marry ever '! What you want to become Jogan (nun) or something"

Arpi-"shhh shameless girl , you are going to marry so does it mean whole world want to get married ?"

GESU- "SO what I m going to marry , but I m really worried for you dear, see at one hand you don't want to marry on other you are staring at clouds with lingering looks ! awww poor thing!"

Arpi ' "chal chod ! tell me how z your Akhtar miyan ? n tell me how you met him ? he is in relation naa?"

Gesu '"ya we use to study together at childhood ! when ever we do mistakes molvi saab punish us as to hold each other ear n sit ups "

Arpi-"wow I never heard or read this kind of beginning of love , then I m sure you guys forget your lessons everyday to hold each others ear !"

Gesu '"no yaar , in love you can't forget lesson once you read it '

"maktabe ishq me ek dhang nirala dekh,

Usko chutti na mili jisko sabak yaad hua"

Well let it go Arpi you tell me when will you get marry ?"

Arpi-"very soon!"

Gesu- excitedly "with whom?"

Arpi-"with you" n both burst in laughter.
