@neureat01: I think I agree with you. You are not wrong. We all like to watch love-stories. The love story of the grown up Kesar and Gulaal is maybe nice to watch but one really can't support the sort of marriage that Gulaal entered into. It is true that she has treated her like a son. A mother is a person who looks after a child and a child develops motherly affection for her but does not fall in love with her. I had a strong intuition that Kesar would go to boarding school and return as an adult so that his childhood phase gets over. I expected this all along.

@Reemz: I agree that the concept of an old man marrying a young girl is very much as unacceptable!

Hi, the relationship between Gulaal and Kesar is a pure one.. She is more like a mother to him, always making him understand the difference between right and wrong, educating him about the several evils in life and staying away from him.. Yes, she is married to Kesar, but she treats him like her own child, her Vasant's future..Vasant wanted Kesar to receive good morals and be someone everyone can respect like Mothabha! Gulaal married Kesar because she had no choice, she put his life ahead of hers.. because she knew that once she left the house Jamna Kaki and Raman would leave no stone unturned and would ensure that he die.. She could have chosen the easy way out and said she didnt want anything to do with this family after Vasant's death.. but she didnt.. Kesar might develop feelings for Gulaal, and I'm saying "might" but Gulaal never will... she had promised during her "Deyarvattu" to Kesar that she will bring a devrani for Kesar when he comes of age.. and so the time has now come..

This show is not a male version of Balika Vadhu! Its a show about emotions and feelings which are beyond any relationships and boundaries.. Its a love story beyond life and death! Its about someone who is so pure that she brings purity wherever she goes.. along with happiness.. Gulaal.

Thank you for understanding my point to some extent😊.....Otherwise again and again I'm being given the same arguments about a 14 or 15 year old marrying a 25 or 30 year old.....Kesar was a pre-pubescent CHILD who was TEN years of age when Gulaal married him......whatever be the reason....but the fact that everyone in here is so cool with it is really amazing😆

Even Oedipus Rex seems more sorted out at this point even though that was a pretty twisted story wherein the guy actually ended up marrying his own mother.....but atleast he wasn't TEN when he married her😆.....he was an ADULT.....but here it is a-ok that someone actually married a child to "save his life" and ofcourse in the future when he's grown up, there will be a tidy little love story😆

@bold: You might want to consult with the rest of your forum members on that.......the rest of them are all convinced that Gulaal will also fall for Kesar.....and you feel she won't?😆.....So far it doesn't appear that this bond will remain "pure" for much longer given the track record of most love stories on SP anyways😆

Dandy_18, you need to watch what you're saying. You should know the I-F rules and regulations by now.

Hi, I think that throughout this debate were having about the age gap, gulaal's re-marriage, and kesar's feelings for her, we're forgeting a few things. Firstly im pretty sure that gulaal/kesar marriage is illegal, I means there's no way any court of law is ever gna legally vallidate their marriage, regardless under what circumstances it was performed under.
Secondly and perhaps most importantly gulaal still loves vasant, and furthermore is still convinced that he is alive. She does love kesar, but the root cause for her love is the fact that for vasant kesar was his dream, of a better future for telesgra. It is her love and respect for vasant that she stayed in telesga regardless of all the taunts and insults she received. In fact its because of her own growing feelings for him she even left the safety of her own village, to come to a rival town.
She only married kesar in order to fulfil her promise to vasant that she will make his dreams come true, and in even after eight years, shes still determined to do this. Recent episodes, all show her having flashbacks of vasant still, because she still, loves him, she still wants him, shes only staying in telesgra for him, as she still believes that he is going to return to her.
So it really doesn't matter if kesar even tries to pursue her, as he will learn (like dushant did), that he has a better shot at asking for and getting a cold drink in hell, then he does of gulaal giving him all rights as an wife.
Actually also, I think that even for kesar, vasant comes first. Both gulaal and kesar would do anything for vasant. If like I think, in epsiodes to come kesar, will begin to slowly, regardless of his growing attraction to gulaal begin to mentally attack or harm her, then it just further proves how much vasant met to him, and the fact that vasant comes first. The real love triangle I suppose is kesar/gulaal/vasant.

^Thats what people need to understand. She still LOVES Vasant i.e. in love with him while she loves Kesar deeply but she isn't in love with him.

But reemz, I honestly think raazil/vasant is gna come back into the show, as there are hits that he will too in the show. Also wasn't their article that says he was asked to perform at spa recently with manasi/gulaal, but he refused as he hes such an perfectionist like amir khan, that he believes in only devoting himself to one project at a time, this current one project being his his show 'gulaal'? Why on earth would he be asked to perform as the character vasant in spa, if he was well and truly finshed with the show? And more to the point he had already been shown dead months prior to spa, so what prior commitments does he still have to 'gulaal'? I mean if hes really dead, what scenes can he possibly be shooting for?

so my conclusion is that you dont really have a problem with the storyline of Gulaal but instead find the reactions from th forum members between Gulaal and Kesar to be of "sexual nature"? well to be honest, I don't really know why anyone would root for a Gulaal-Kesar love story.. I can't speak for the rest of the forum members, but I personally feel that even if Kesar does seem to develop feelings for Gulaal in a "sexual" way, its completely not necessary that Gulaal too should respond to them in the same manner. Its not easy for someone to move from one platonic relationship to a sexual one.. especially if the person has grown up in front of you.. (Although Priyanka Chopra's character from 7 Khoon Maaf was a really weird character, just in case someone decides to bring that up for comparison with Gulaal's character)

As far as I can say, the creative team should not make them a couple, since it would be ethically wrong and very difficult for anyone to digest.. Devar-Bhabhi is fine. Plus Gulaal will probably wrap up by the end of May with IPL, so that's enough time for them to show Kesar's marriage to Talli and Gulaal continuing to do better for the village of Talsagra.

I agree SP has very notorious ideas of romance, but this will be very pukeworthy if they decide to show it.. I sincerely hope that for my sanity that they dont ruin this pure relationship between Gulaal and Kesar.. and if they do, then I would look upon their relationship like incest!😡
