Should the point really be about an age gap??? This woman married a 10 year old CHILD......no reasoning or justification can make that ok. And now ofcourse everything is conveniently forgotten as the child has grown up into a hot blooded young man and so everyone can enjoy the sexual tension b/w him and Gulaal now. I'm truly amazed at the sick and twisted minds that come up with such concepts on TV in the name of being "different"

^And why isn't it sick and twisted when a 30 year old man marries a 20 year old woman? :\ If people are enjoying the 'sexual tension' (even though there is so much more to their relationship) in the show then I don't think they should be judged because they are NOT looking at a 12 year child and a 20 year old woman any longer!

She didn't marry him in order to molest him, if you saw their scenes then you would realise that they share the most purest relationship and these scenarios do actually happen in REAL life. I've heard stories like this from my mum so its not like the creatives have pulled this out of nowhere.

Hmmm I don't believe you are understanding my point.....I said the issue was NOT about the age gap....it's about the fact that she married a CHILD.....isn't that pedophilia?? How is that in any way comparable to a 30 year old man marrying a 20 year old woman??? There's a difference b/w a woman and a CHILD. Haan if you want to talk about a 30 year old man marrying a 10 year old girl, I doubt that would be condoned either......I think they are showing something like that in another show called Phulwa on Colors and I don't think it's being condoned there either.

Doesn't matter why she married him.....it's all conveniently reached a point where everyone can now enjoy sexual tension, isn't it? Please don't tell me everyone in here is watching the show for the "PURITY' of this relationship😆.....I've seen enough posts to get a sense of all the "fire" etc. that everyone is enjoying b/w these two characters.

Lastly just cuz something may have happened in real life in some remote part of the country does NOT make it A-ok to be watched as something in the name of entertainment😕

There were people who enjoyed Kesar-Gulaal scenes when he was a child because their relationship was just that beautiful but they weren't thinking of 'sexual tension' then. Kes-Gul were friends and I know when I started watching the show, I wasn't thinking of anything else BUT how sweet their relationship is.

I'm not a teenage girl anymore (unfortunately) so I don't get hyper seeing random intense looks or those typical 'push to the wall' type scene. If the depth of the relationship makes sense then I will enjoy the scenes too! When he was a child, everyone here saw their relationship as purely platonic and no-one is immature to condone older women marrying kids. Even Balika Vadhu showed marriage between two children and that show was/is HUGE but that does not mean anyone supports the concept. A story is being told and if it interests you as a viewer then why not? I have never seen shows for morals and nor do they overshadow the values my parents have given me. I guess I know that these Indian shows barely ever give a reason to learn anything so I just watch them for enjoyment.

So their relationship was sweet and almost like that of an older sister and kid brother at one point, correct?? Everyone enjoyed that sweetness but found it so easy to transition from a platonic almost mother-son type of bond to what it is now?? More sexually charged?? Is it so easy to watch her transition from loving a CHILD to now loving that child as a MAN as a woman loves a man??

Balika Vadhu was different.....that was two KIDS getting married....there was nothing sexual about it.....more than half the life of the show just showed them being friends and them remaining CHILDREN.....it wasn't the case of an ADULT marrying a CHILD and then taking a leap to change it into a sexually charged love story.

There are many grey concepts/things happening in society.....no doubt about that....but some concepts just cross the line and I find this to be one of those....this has now become more of a case of two actors who have good chemistry together so ppl want to watch a charged love story.......but I find it difficult to overlook this on paper....a woman married a 10 year old CHILD and now the child has conveniently grown up so that they can have a proper love story😆

No they weren't like mother-son, or older sister-younger brother. They were GULAAL AND KESAR! He didn't even call her bhabhi. They were each other's support after Vasant died.

Balika Vadhu's concept is still absurd. Obviously their chemistry as kids wasn't sexually charged but nor was Gulaal and Kesars. They were friends! But now I'm assuming they are showing 'moments' between the lead pair in BV which are sexually charged for obvious reasons. They've grown up and so has Kesar in this show.

If Kesar hadn't gone away to boarding school then we could have said that Gulaal has brought him but thats not the case.

He was a KID.....a little CHILD...doesn't matter what he called her.....their relationship HAD to be a minimum of older sister-kid brother if nothing else....that's the natural order of things....since he was so much younger than her and she was his brother's wife....a bhabhi naturally becomes a mother-like figure then......you can't change that even if he didn't technically call her bhabhi.

As for BV....again, there is a HUGE difference.....Only KESAR has become an adult in this show now......in BV, Jagya-Anandi grew up TOGETHER.....they showed a natural progression of them growing into teenagers and further together.....it's completely different from an adult Gulaal-kid Kesar relationship changing with only KESAR maturing into an adult.

But its still not right to put two kids together at a young age especially when realistically speaking they could come intimate even at the age of 14-15. It COULD happen and for me thats wrong!

Ok so Gulaal was Kesar's bhabhi i.e. mother-figure. If we just take that relationship in to consideration (forget the child issue) then even Kumkum showed the devar marrying his widowed bhabhi.

I'm not condoning or supporting these scenarios but as of now, the fact is that BOTH Gulaal and Kesar are adults and married. Gulaal had married him back then promising that she will find a bride for Kesar when he grows up and she has done that in the form of Talli.
