See the fact is women face more.

Got to do in the society we live in.

Struggling with man handling & abuse but cant go anywhere coz there is no financial support & infact there families dont support as well.

So in a day or two all this will end & sayi will go running to Virat.

The general public will feel it's ok.Ghar se nikal diya , abuse kar diya but it's okay when the word sorry drops in.

Tv represents society.

It's time progressive content is shown.

@bold completely agree. Thats what we are all trying to say but in different words. I know everyone here is sensible enough to not support any kind of abuse towards any woman and not support radical feminism to always portray man as villain.

sorry to know that you had to go through bad experiences. Hope everything is fine now in your life.

lots of love

All good 💛

Thank you for your support

I started this post as something to bring out the toxicity that ITV normalizes.

Irrespective of gender it's wrong to abuse or misshandle anyone.

It's a very personal topic as I was part of domestic violence also in childhood.

To all those who have taken a stand 💛 and to all those who fighting to take a stand 💛

🤗🤗🤗🤗

More power and hugs to u gal

No one has the right to physically or emotionally hurt or manipulate another.

No matter what I will take a stand for myself and will take a stand if I feel I must.

Remember if you don't love and respect yourself no one will is a mantra taught to me by my bro when I was 16 and it is something I live by

I had no support except my bff, bro and Bhabhi in the beginning of my journey. Believe me the toughest battle for women sometimes is emo manipulation in the fam regarding what will society think ?

It was only in the process of the case when bro in anger showed the proofs that people were ok with my decision.

Men have their battles in a different way. My bro had one of his won when he decided to support me. He was often accused of making me a rebel by standing by me without question

The idea of making this post is not berate anyone

but make peeps understand that if u cannot support don't push them back. There might be many reasons when peeps walk out of a relationship. No one wants a relationship to break which they have built with love and effort.

If u know anyone around u who needs support please do so.

Mental health should be a priority and everyone has the right to live a life of dignity

yes feminism by definition on paper is advocacy of equality of sexes but in reality, in society, what we see is radical feminism now a days. They believe that since women were dominated by the men now women got the right to dominate and oppress men in same way.

For example, In bollywood, hollywood, ott and tv also majority of the content we see in the name of women empowerment or women based shows showcase modern day women as drinking, smoking, cursing, involved in crime, f**king multiple men just to portray them as cool as or equivalent to men. This kind of behaviour was neither good for men nor it is for women. Nobody is talking about actually empowering women by showing them as career woman, independent, strong willed, straightforward.

Feminism, radical or otherwise, in paper or practice, is about the EQUALITY of gender and not the superiority of one gender over another. People who think otherwise don't understand the term feminism and should not be called feminists. It has become a common practice these days to make out feminism into something negative, something it is not.

Coming to movies and shows, there are many of them which ACTUALLY depict what true women empowerment is. Even in the type of movies you mentioned, it is the CHOICE of the women to do such things, like it is the choice of men, even if they have nothing to do with empowerment.

The thing is, feminism is not about the superiority of one gender over the other. Feminists don't aim to suppress men or dominate men in any way. All they want is equal rights for women. It is the problem of people if they can't understand this very simple point. Feminism stands against patriarchy and NOT men. So let's not spread misconceptions like feminists are against men or are trying to dominate them.
