I agree with you samirah23 that in most families everyone is happy with boys & girls. However, we sometimes notice a step further is taken when it comes to the boys. I agree that girls leave their parents and move on with their own families, but they are still attached to their own home as much as their new one. With boyz...they do care about their parents, but that love & care is quickly manipulated when they have their own family. Utna pyaar nahi rehta pehle jaisa!

Rahi baat khandaan ki izzath maintain karne ki toh wo aisa hai ke hum sab jaante hain ke agar ladki ke saath kuch aisa waisa hua to kitni badnaami hoti hai. Haan ye galat hai ke agar ladke baahar kuch bhi karein koi zyaada nahi pooch ta. That is incorrect! Why are they given so much liberty...? If something is wrong for the girls, it must be the same for the guyz - well atleast upto some extent.

Well...to me both boys & girls are important part of family and each has their role to play. We say time has changed...purana zamana nahi jab aisa hota tha, but aaj bhi aisa hota hai. Differences still exist! Chahe aap India main rehte ho ya US, Canada, UK or anywhere. Ye hamara mind-set ban gaya hai. Khair...zyaada is detail main padhna nahi chahta, but thanks a lot for your contribution.

Hey - finally a good debate!

I agree with you all that this is completely a wrong way of thinking, and yes, parents do still stick to their own ways.

But, I just wanted to try to give you an idea of it from our parent's side - it's so hard to change their minds. As arifalm said, we have to change our own way of thinking - so let's think about how we want to treat our children in the future - maybe our old ways are not the best way.

Hey I totally agree with you guyz.......
I just hate this gender difference...
especially when women do that, its like come onnnnn ur a woman yourself, and you want a son/grandson, and not a daughter/granddaughter....that really pisses me off.....
One more thing that really really really pisses me off, is that when people do care about this gender difference,its like 90% of them are against girls, not guys..........

And thanx god, I personally don't know anyone like this...if i did know someone like that, I would just like kill them 😆
If you guyz know anyone like this, let me know, I would love to give them a two hour lecture 😆 😆 ...and make them realize that this gender difference is not necessary in our society!!!!!!! 😊
