Chapter-6

Maan had gone out to get some breakfast and coffee

Our house was new and nothing was set in it for the moment except the bed that too was gifted by our friends

I looked at the naked walls imaging colouring them in the colour my and maan's happiness.

I smiled but then I realised that how expensive these little happiness are goanna be

I and Maan have invested all our savings in buying this house and nothing was now left with us.

I still remembered the worried look on Maan's face as he checked his wallet in the morning to get the food.

I hated it seeing my Maan so vulnerable he was the king the only heir of Khurrana empire but he left everything just for me

I felt a tear drop through my eyes how much have he lost to just have me in his life

I knew he loved his father and he can't stay without him but then he still didn't left me for him...my throat chocked just by thinking how he must have felt when his father must have asked him to choose between me and him

Geeet I heard Maan call my name as soon as he entered

I wiped my tears hurriedly before he sees it

Geet he called me again as he entered in the bedroom

I looked at him as he entered with numerous bags in his hand

I looked at his smiling face as he said see I shopped for home

I saw at the numerous packets stuffed with groceries vegetables I looked at the gas hob that laid on the kitchen slab

Where did you get the money for so many things I asked Maan as I suspected something was wrong here?

I had money Geet I had money saved

Really Maan I looked at him as he refused to meet my eyes

Ya Geet I had I mean I was working in Khurrana construction to and I had my savings

Don't lie Maan I snapped back I looked at him again intently suddenly realising his watch was missing from his hand

Maan I gasped knowing he has sold that to someone to buy these things

You sold your watch I asked in horror moving back step by step

Geet Maan screamed as he tried reaching me

I snapped his hands away, I hated myself he has to do these things for me

He has to sell all his happiness to keep me happy

No No No I screamed as my voices echoed in my head

Geet Jaan please he pleaded trying to sooth me

No Maan it was the watch that your grandfather gifted you, it was his last gift to you it was his blessings his love

I know how much it mattered to you I know I have seen you admiring that watch at your every victory as if you are sharing your victories with your dadaji

No you can't sell that watch it can't belong to someone else... I released myself from his arms and got ready somehow

At Tonies huh I sighed it wasn't far away from home and I was hoping no one will come to buy a watch at such early hours

I rushed out of house as ignoring maan's words

I walked faster and almost ran till tonies
