Mariam, I think you'd better explain. I haven't finished it. In fact, I'm only about a quarter of the way in. But I can already tell that I will fall in love with it. I ignored it during its hype, as I do for all things while they're overexposed. It skews my perception of it when everyone else is talking about it too. I can't peel back the layers according to myself without being influenced by the external. Hence, I avoid and wait.

(We're going to form a book club, I can just feel it 😆).

Hi Sweety!

Okay. I can try. Let me just do a rerun of it. 😆

You know, Z. I don't even go for the books which are very talked about at that time. Only after a while when I can form my own opinions and not be affected by others'. That is one of the reasons why I didn't hunt The Alchemist down the day I heard all the hullabaloo and only read it when it came to me thaal mein sajke! 😆

Yes. Why? You don't?

Sometimes yes, sometimes undecided. Destiny exists, yes, but so does our power to affect and shape it.

(Was laughing at the 'thaal mein sajke', by the way, not your belief in destiny 😊).

My belief in destiny is just as weak as yours, if not more! 😆

Hello my babies, kaisi ho
Couldn't resist putting inmy 2 cents about "The Alchmenist"😆
Woh Shahrukh wala dialogue, Jab Aap Kisi Cheez Ko Sari Shiddat... exactly that one, woh toh Alchemist Bhai se churaya hain King Khan ne😉
The moment I heard it in the movie I was lilke, OMG 'The Alchemist'😲
Also have you read something called 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrnes. Same concept.

Yes, the famous dialogue! 😆

I have The Secret with me but didn't read it. How is it? Worth giving a try?

Accha, can you explain the gist of The Alchemist? Sheesh wants a little of it to understand it better.

Hey Nisha Di :)

I thought exactly the same thing when I started reading The Alchemist. I got to that sentence and my jaw dropped. They stole that line from this book! I'm surprised because when this happens, we usually hear/read about it a lot but I didn't hear a peep in this case 😳

I also remember Shahrukh wala dialogue. He sounded so lame when he said it.
But somehow it was true for him wasn't it? He started off with small time TV acting and all.
May be that is why people did not complain much...
