But somehow it was true for him wasn't it? He started off with small time TV acting and all.
May be that is why people did not complain much...

He shamelessly stole it and made it his own, that's why he is the one minting the money, whreas we supposed intellectuals are stuck here, behiind our computers discussing the semantics of the novel and the quote.😆

I have The Secret with me but didn't read it. How is it? Worth giving a try?

Accha, can you explain the gist of The Alchemist? Sheesh wants a little of it to understand it better.

Umm, lets see, 'The Alchemist', is a self help book in a story format, with fantastic quotes sprinkled throughout it, which we can apply in our daily lives.
As for 'The Secret', its the same thing, She borrows the term ," The Law Of Attraction", basically you think postive, you attract positive. She gives examples of people who've applied the principles and succeeded. She also charts out exactly how you go about doing it..
Sheesh read the book. That's my summary😆
It's about a shepherd who dreams about a treasure near the Egyptian Pyramids, goes in search of it, faces a lot of challenges and temptaions along the way, but eventually finds himself along the way.
That's my crappy gist. But honestly read the book.😃

Wasn't there a quote or something that said Destiny is a poor man's excuse or something like that..

I remember the one by Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl (yes, yes, judging allowed)...

"Destiny is for losers. It's just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen."

I share her sentiment about 99% of the time. But sometimes there's a magic in the way things come together and goals appear with sudden clarity and I just think... destiny?

I don't know, but I really like what the King in The Alchemist said about everyone knowing exactly what their destiny is when they're young and then losing it as they get older.
