The warm sunrays were sneaking through the window hitting against Geet's face. She had a sweet smile on her face. She was twisting lovingly, swirling and scrunching the cover sheets beneath her fingers. She slowly starts to open her eyes and for a couple seconds just bates her sleeping eyes, trying to get adjusted to the light. She stretches and flexes out her arms and stands up when she sees a bouquet of red roses on her dresser.
As she walks towards it her heart was already skipping a beat.
"Beautiful red flowers, for a beautiful woman. Just wanted to say, " I love you" on this special day.
I am not a poet but I will give it a shot.
Roses are red, violets are blue. These lips can't wait to be kissing you!
Geet giggles, biting her lip as she reminisces the taste of his lips around the edges of her lips. Then she twirls the card and glass vase of roses smiling like a crazy fool.
Geet stops and continues to read.
I bet your smiling. How I wish I was there to see your sweet smile. I have a little errand to run. Don't miss me too much jaani. I will be there before you know it.

"Dusht Danav" Geet mutters to herself as she lies against the bed.
Geet: If you do things like this, then how can I stay mad at you? Hmph!
Geet kisses the card and so ever softly utters, " I love you too Maan", then hugs her pillow trying to control the tingling sensation running through her. Today was their engagement day! A special day indeed!

Geet was looking ravishing. The girls continued to tease her and she just blushed. She had no idea who these girls were. She had imagined this day a little differently. She had imagined herself around her own friends and family teasing her. But she didn't let that break her. If God had taken that small dream of hers, he gave her and even better dream- her Maan. Maan was her life now, nothing else mattered. She only wished he was here with her right now.
Just then she gets a call.
"Hello" she says weakly.
"Don't tell me Maan singh khurana isn't giving u the attention u deserve on your engagement day. Is that why you sound a little down?", someone teased over the phone.
Geet's eyes enlarge with shock and she excuses herself from the girls.
Geet: Omg Romeo! Oh gosh I can't believe it's you.
Romeo: Missed your old friend that much? Awwwhhh. Don't I feel special.
Geet: Shut up! I am so mad at you. Why didn't you answer any of my calls! Maan told me what you did. I didn't even get to tell you how thankful I am and how much you mean to me.
Romeo: I didn't know my ladoo is so sensitive and emotional. Maybe its because it's your special day and you feel extra sentimental. Maan called and told me about your engagement.
" oh now I get it. I thought you were my close friend. Looks like you switched sides after he punched you hain na? You answer his call but not mine. Go! I don't need you! Hmph!" Geet pouted.
" okay baba I am sorry. To be honest I had some unfinished business to take care of" he says looking to the person beside him.
He looks away and says, "I will be there soon. Promise" and hangs up the phone.
Just then Vicky and Meera walk in.
" hmmm bhaabi. Why such a down face? Missing Maan bhai kya? You still have time to run away he isn't even here yet on your engagement day?" he gasps in shock.
" Not a good sign" he teasing shakes his head.
Geet charges at him but he holds his ears and bends down," sorry sorry. I surrender in mercy".
Geet chuckles and pulls him to stand up. Then she hugs him saying, " Your crazy but I still love you".
Vicky snaps out of the hug.
"BHABI. I am your lovely Devar for tonight. Again maan bhai pata chal gaya that your hugging and expressing your love for me than he will kill me!" he teases some more.
" How many times do I have to tell you I am your sister not your bhabi!", Geet says grabbing and pulling his ear.
Meera just laughs at their loving behavior and relationship they shared.
Vicky looks over to Meera and says, " Meera you tell her. I am going to go downstairs and hide before she murders me" he says with a naughty smirk and then runs away.
Geet looks confusedly at Meera and asks, " umm what is he talking about? Why don't I have a good feeling about this?
" Well sorry to break the news to you, but like Vicky said he is going to be your brother in law for tonight. He has a special night planned for you. Unfortunately he hasn't forgotten about the bet he won" Meera says trying not to laugh.
"NAHIII! Oh God! No! Meera please don't let him! Oh my god! I know him he is totally going to make me melt with embaressment" Geet say frantically really scared now of her dear devar.
Meera couldn't hold her laughter in anymore.
"I am sorry Geet. He asked me to help. We both love you, just relax and enjoy. It's your engagement night. He wants to make it a night you will remember for life" she says with a wink before walking out.
" oh Great. That's just what I needed. To feel extra nervous. Babaji!" she cutely pouts looking in the ceiling.
She walks over to the window and closes her eyes letting the cool air calm her nerves down. Just when she was to let her thoughts trail towards Maan she felt a peck on lips.
Before she could yell Maan covers up her mouth with his hand.
"Don't scream" maan whispers as he held on to the ladder.
"Oh my God" Geet whispers.
Geet: What are you doing. You are going to fall. Are you crazy?
" Yes I am crazy for you" he says pulling her closer boring deep into her eyes making her blush.
"Acha is that why you left me the whole day?" Geet turns her face and feigns anger.
" I went because of you. I will show you when we go downstairs in the main hallway".
Maan: Now give me the kiss that I climbed here for. I have been waiting all day you know future Mrs.Khurana.
Geet: Maan the girls will see.
Maan: toh . . .
Geet shakes her head and smiles wanting to hit him but instead she yanks him even closer and crushes her lips to his, grunting around it as he raises a hand to the back of her neck, possessively holding her to him. Her mouth opens immediately as his tongue strokes in. And few heavenly seconds their tongues played with each other, before Geet breaks free from his hold and pulls him inside.
"Geet wait . . .Geet" but Geet had already pulled him inside and he stumbles to the ground.
All the girls come rushing in and starts giggling as Maan stands up straightening himself. He gives a deadly glare to Geet.
Geet says, "Girls Mr.Khurana is here. He thinks you guys bite that's why he climbed up a ladder and came through a window. Tell him next time to just walk through the door" geet says trying to keep a straight face.
The girls leave and tell them to be quick. The guests are waiting.
Geet looks over to Maan and says, " Chalte Maan" turning out the door when Maan grabs her wrist and pulls her hard against his chest.
"First explain what the hell was that for?" he says still glaring at her.
"So you don't repeat the mistake of coming late to the wedding as well" Geet says glaring back causing Maan to step back a little.
"Yeh larki paagal hai . . .aur dheere dheere mujhe paagal kardegi" Maan says quietly looking to the ceiling talking to Geet's babaji.
Geet gives him a friendly shove and Maan wraps his arm around her giving her a side hug saying, " I fell for your craziness first" before walking out together.
They walked down the staircase together, Geet holding his arm. Everybody watched them in awe. They were made for each other and their love for one another was written all over their face. Daadi couldn't help herself as a tear trickled down her cheek. She was waiting for this day for a very long time, and somewhere in her heart she had accepted that her Maan would live the rest of his life in darkness, but once Geet came into their lives she not only brought the light but all the colors to fill his life.
Vicky notices the tear that dropped from his daadi's eyes and goes and wipes it with his fingers, giving her a hug in the process.

Maan and Geet go and greet everyone together. Then Daadi comes and says its time for the ring ceremony.
Daadi brings over the rings. Everyone's eyes pop open seeing the gorgeous and unique rings, many girls not being able to control themselves from getting jealous of Geet. As Maan is about to place the ring in her finger, only one thing caught her eye. No it wasn't the huge and beautiful diamond cut ring, but the part where "Geet Ka Maan" was engraved on the side. Everyone claps and Geet looks at him, as if she was the luckiest girl on the planet.
It was Geet's turn to put the ring on Maan and her eyes again fell on the part where " Maan ki Geet" was engraved in his ring. Everyone claps as she slides the ring on to his finger. Maan raises his hand and kisses the ring, Geet blushes and looks down not being able to put to words the emotions and feelings that were coursing through her.
Vicky instructs for music, and Maan takes Geet to the dance floor. They spin and twirled in each other's arms, their emotions racing inside them. As it was a race of breathes, a race of longing. With the way their bodies touched and moved in sync it sent all their hearts racing.
The music turned slow and their eyes met, it was oddly intoxicating and filling their bodies with a different high. "I love you" Geet murmers drowning in his eyes.
Maan smiles and plants a kiss on her cheek saying, "I love you too".
" From the looks of it you really liked your surprise. There was some issue with the rings that's why I couldn't be here with you today" he says snaking his arm around her waist as Geet placed her hands on his shoulders and they swayed side by side.
"I love it", she says kissing the ring.
Then someone clears their throat and asks, " May I dance with my hot and happening bhaabi bhai" Vicky says with a sweet smile.
Maan: Sure Vicky
Geet: Nahi I am not going to dance with you. Not until you cancel the things you have planned for me tonight because of that stupid bet you won.
Maan just laughs and Vicky just grabs her hand and they start to dance, Geet doesn't protest and dances and surprisingly enjoying herself.
The song comes to an end and when she was going to walk back over to Maan, she hears someone say, "Do I also get a dance, or am I too late".
Geet turns around and hugs Romeo.
Romeo: Congradulations Ladoo. You have no idea how happy I am to see you so happy.
Geet: It's all because of you. You are the reason me and Maan are together right now.
Maan comes over and also hugs Romeo.
Maan: So happy to see you make it.
Romeo: I had to make it or else she would have never forgiven me. Thank god she is yours now. I was getting tired of handling her craziness. Now its your responsibility.
"Romeo" Geet whines.
Romeo: I am just kidding. So I hope I didn't miss much?
Just when Geet was going to say something, Vicky butts in saying, " You just came at the right time. Here comes the best part".
Meera turns the lights real dim and before they knew it, Vicky wasn't near them anymore but next to Meera on the stage.
" babaji save me" Geet mutters.
