45 FRICKIN PAGES?! OMFG!! And I thought 5 pages was long. Are your fingers okay? Hope they are, they must be aching from all that typing. Okay now please kindly ignore my grammar/spelling errors, I'm sick and tired 😆
OMG OMG OMG!! <I only do this when I'm extremely happy or sad. It is the latter! My heart is literally aching. Literally! And this is a girl without a heart we're talking about here. You have made a hole hurt. That's not even possible.
So I opened this FF thinking it's going to be all happy shappy (the title, prologue and beginning are VERY misleading. Well even if it was...uhh...leading [😆] I'd still read it and then crib later) and what do you do?! You break my fragile little heart/hole thingy.
I must say I absolutely loved the beginning, it was as sweet as jelabi's 😆 Why is it all people meet in libraries? But I guess with your concept, it fits in the story but in other shows and stuff they just go to a library and knock their teeth out, get a concussion from banging their heads and stare into each others fricking eyes!! Doesn't dust ever get in them?! Okay I ace staring concepts, but for me in real life it's just freaky if two people stare into each others eyes 😆
I really like your Nandu, maybe even more than Geet. She is a fiery girl who lives on sarcasm and attitude. RAWR. Me likey! 😉😆 Ignore my pervishness 😆 But yeah...I've always preferred strong characters to girly girly ones. But that's just me. Maybe because am so vulgar and unsophisticated (not to mention a tad rude, I tend to lash out a lot 😆)
Wow that's a lot of laugh emotions for a sad story. This is me laughing at my own jokes, anyhoo...moving on...
Another thing I like about Nandu is that she is smart, she completely turned the tables on Maan when he was blackmailing her. Good going!
I'm not surprised Geet ditched him on the date! That was the most cliche thing ever. Like ever! Maan needs to read 'how to create an interesting date that won't offend your date and make you look like spoilt rich brat' 😆 I mean I get Maan, he was just trying to create the perfect atmosphere but the stupid little bwoi!! Did he turn deaf when N said G is a simple Indian woman! Well I guess he didn't take it literally. I really did feel like smacking him on the head then!
Geet is too nice, giving him a second chance! I would be like 'screw you sucker, you got your chance' 😆 I did say I'm heartless 😆 But then again if she didn't give him a second chance, we probably would've attacked you! The author never wins, sad, sad truth.
Now here comes the start of the 'sad phase'
Oh how terribly awful for M, he had to witness his mother passing away. I think watching a parent die is really the most traumatizing thing for a child. I really do feel for him. When my dad passed away I didn't know until a whole month later! He was on holiday with my mum and they didn't want me to find out when my mum wasn't there to support me lest I break.
Okay now I'm going to skip to the sad part and start my cribbing...
When she arrived at his apartment and they made love, I knew she was going away. First I thought she maybe going to a different medical school or something, I didn't guess she was sick! But when she said I'm having breakfast with Nandani and Goodbye I started to get my suspicions.
The letter made me teary, seriously. I was like 'NOOO DON'T GOOO GETT DON'T GOOO!' Not a pretty sight 😆 And it was all because of you! YOU YOU YOU! Evil lady :( Making innocent bacha's cry.
Uhh...I forgot what happened next. See I'm so upset I'm having short term memory loss *goes back to check*
It was really heartbreaking seeing (well reading) Maan so desperate to get her back. You could feel his pain and desperation in every word. very well written Jaz! But the thing I loved the most was he stood strong, he didn't break, didn't screw up- no, he went back to work and lived. And that is what I appreciate. Drowning your self in pity is a weakness.
However more than Maan, I felt sorry for Nandani. Maan knew G for a few years but N knew her for a nearly a lifetime. Nothing is stronger than the bond of friendship (and you explained this really well in your other OS) She was with her threw her good and bad, she knew her secrets and they shared such a special bond. Really do feel for them.
If the situation was different when M read the letter G gave N (see that's how tired I am, I'm writing initials instead) and it stated that did 'it', it would have been so awkward 😆. But like I said the situation.
Geet's love for M was so strong. She went through all that pain herself just so he doesn't suffer. She was a heck of a woman!
The last letter made me all teary eyed again, she wants to of her most loved to heal each other. Aww!! < That's a sad aww. It really touched me. She was absolutely correct about N being alone, if not a lover at least now she will have some support. The only other person who knows what she is going through.
Overall a completely epic, and heart-breaking OS. You have done it again Jaz, you have made this stone hearted girl teary eyed (I rarely cry when reading, so teary eyed is a big big thing) I can't get enough of you're writing, your just epic 🤗
Wow...this was long. My longest comment ever on I-F wow...! Well you deserved this, or should I say am honoured to write this.
