@Hindu4lyf:Discussion is not equal to bashing or personally attacking another member..when that happens we r forced to put some rules to stop bashing😊

I see no relevance or the need for disclaimers. I never follow them anyway 🤣.

I am not talking about bashing or personal attacks. I am referring to the point you made in your post where you said 'fights may arise among different fan groups' hence causing you to take such action. Fights shall arise even if there is no bashing or personal attacks. This forum is evidence of that.😉

Anyway, I'm not going to waste my time over here..just wanted to tell people to ignore the disclaimers because they clearly serve no purpose and even if you ignore them, you're not breaking any rules anyway..right Jyoti?😉

Btw a question to you..

Surely if people that personally attack/bash/mock or whatever other name you wish to give it receive warnings from the DT, then those that unfairly post disclaimers simply because they wish to gather positive responses should get a warning too for discriminating against other members and trying to stop them from posting in a topic? Or is that only a one way thing?

As long as disclaimers r not put by the Development team they can b ignored and this has been made clear to all many times...
and dev team puts disclaimers only when it becomes extremely necessary to stop any sort of bashing or cyber bullying

I'd have ignored them even if you didn't say so😆
If disclaimers are to be ignored, then why does the DT not bother editing the disclaimers?🤔

Sorry but you did not actually directly answer my question to you.

Just in case you missed it, I'll post it again.

Well the topic maker Shrads(pixie) hv raised a question and she got her answer...If she has any more doubts ,she will ask and the reply will b given to her...
On what basis warnings and all r given..these things we r not suppose to discuss in open...and nor has the topic maker raised these questions I guess...

👏 Shradha, i completely agree with you. Topics that come with disclaimers are like saying no to criticism. If all one wants to hear is "I Agree" then there is no point in opening a thread in a public forum right. The whole point of opening topic is to "discuss". To discuss pros and cons. To discuss and also know what other forum members feel. Because not all the time what we see or what we derive at is right! If we just want people to Agree with our point of view then why do we even try to open a topic?
But off late the what i find in the forum is most of the time personal attacks. This has actually killed the purpose of "Forum". Most of the times i personally avoid getting responding to such topics but when things go hayway then I jump into it. This is something that i have discussed with the Mods long back but Mods cannot control such things. They cannot dictate people per say as to how to create a topic and how to have a healthy discussion. Its upto the individual members.
What people fail to realise is that, disagreeing with them or their thoughts is not a personal attack. It so happens that the same set of people tend to agree with each other and some people never agree with each other that creates the groupism leading to bigger fights.
So end of day the whole concept of FORUM fails when we end up giving disclaimers. 😭
Now my reply doesnot have a disclaimer. If someone disagrees i am open to discussion!😉😆

Jyoti you seem to be misunderstanding my posts and not directly answering my questions.

I honestly never realised one has to open a topic to get an answer from the mods of this forum. If you do not have the answer to my question or do not wish to answer me, then please directly tell me so and I will simply ask another member of the DT who hopefully does have the answer to my question and will be more willing to answer my question in a more direct manner.

I never asked you 'on what basis are warnings given?'. What I said was that if disclaimers are not allowed, then why aren't those posts edited? If someone swears or abuses an actor or member even, then a member of the DT will gladly send them a warning PM but if a disclaimer is unfairly put up, then nothing is said to the member? Does that not indirectly encourage members to continue to post disclaimers in their topics, hence putting off many members from responding to their topic and in a way killing a discussion?

Did you actually check the link before sending it to me? Because it does not answer my query in any way. Btw that link is 7 years old, I'm guessing some things may have changed over that period, no?😆

In response to your question, yes, they were indirectly attacking a group of fans by telling them that their opinion is simply not wanted. That counts as a personal attack for me, but I'm sure you probably disagree. 8-)
