EDIT
Hello Guys I'm relatively new at this analysis thing, but I loved today's episode so I figured that I'll give my two cents on it. Don't get me wrong, I had a fair share of issues with the epi as well.
What I loved:
The wedding scene: The setup was beautiful. I loved the lighting, drapes and flowers.I'm sure Doodle loved the orchids! š It set the mood for the wedding scene beautifully, very romantic. I loved what Maan was wearing, black and whiteākind of symbolic a dark individual with a tough exterior and a heart of gold. Geet looked like a goddess in her golden saree. She stole the spotlight at the wedding- even the groom was starring at her. Maan's eyes were glued to Geet the whole scene. Kudos to GC for his actingāhis expressions flawlessšš¼. He expressed a man who is in awe of his lady love and her beauty, perfectly. Loved the vows being readāit seemed as if it was being read for Maan and Geet. In a way they performed the Maneet wedding today. Geet looking at the ring during the vows, showed how much it meant to her. Drashti was great in this scene. She portrayed the torn look in Geet's face brilliantly- torn between enjoying the moment and carrying the burden of her truthš.
Geet watching a smiling Maan: I loved this scene for the purpose it served. It was important for Geet to see Maan as his unrestrained self. What brings out a person's unrestrained, innocent self than a child? The interaction between Maan and the child was an indication for Geet of what he will be as a father. That is a huge point when it comes to her letting Maan be the father of her child. I think that is the best compliment a guy can getš. However, I had an issue with this scene. I felt like it was more Gurmeet and less Maan. Gurmeet has such a genuine and warm laugh, and I find it difficult to see it on Maan. It could probably be because the audience has never seen Maan laugh let alone smile with teeth showing. Maybe better camera angles would have helped so that not so much of the focus is on the teeth. Either way, I loved the purpose of the sceneš.
Maan romancing Geet: Pee loon-loved the song choice. This is a song that I have grown to love over time because of the countless Maan-Geet videos on Youtube with this song. The expressions were beautiful. Maan running the flower along Geets back-- made me blushāŗļøāŗļø. Maan kissing Geet's hair, then forehead, and eyes was very romanticā¤ļø. He was so tender and passionate it was brilliantly portrayed by GC. And Drasti beautifully portrayed Geets acceptance of Maan touching her.
Confession/revelation: Then here comes the confession/revelation scene. Maan looked as if he could not wait to pour his heart out to Geet. He lets her go first. I'm kind of uncertain as to why he lets her go first, but either way it served the purpose of Geet revealing her past. Loved how Maan took Geet's hands and said "bolo na Geet"- almost giving her the to reveal the truth. I don't know how others felt about Geet starting with her pregnancy and not her fake marriage, but I liked it. The way I see it, her pregnancy and the baby is her present so it is logical that she tells him that first. GC portrayed the shock in Maan's face upon hearing the truth brilliantly. It was heart breaking to watch Maan go from complete elation to devastation in a matter of moments. Kudos to GC!! Drasti's performance was also amazing. She portrayed the pain of having to deliver those words to Maan flawlesslyš. Her expressions paralleled the gravity of the words that were being said. Maan letting go of Geet's hand and backing off was a good reaction from Maan. Yes, he is taken aback, having received the biggest shock of his life.
What I didn't like/hatedšš¼:
Editing in the confession scene: Oh god!! This irritated me so much!! Why would the editors think it's smart to go back and forth between Maneet and Dev on a bike? It is such an important scene, a climax of the show and the editing sucked!! It almost ruined the essence and the gravity of the truth revelation scene for meš”š”.
Dev scene on the bed: I felt this scene was unnecessary. It was so random and might I add kind of creepy! I understand Abhinav needs screen time, but come on!! Try to be smarter with scene selections.
D'mellows: They just irritate me, especially Rose's voice. She should just shut up. And George, what is with his head bobbing like a bobble headšš. Bad casting if you ask me, especially for a landmark episode like this one.
D'mellows wardrobe: George looked sloppy. Hated Rose's Bride of Chucky wedding dressāso tackyš!! I know running a serial is expensive but come on!!
Dubbing: Bad dubbing for the priest and the laughing baby.
Overall: 9/10
Done! Now over to read others.
