So...I just recently started following Geet and finally managed to catch up with history. This was to have been that EPIC episode! Unfortunately, even if I am in a minority, I was not happy with it. It seems like CVS throws in the requisite romantic scenes to make up for a not well-made and short-on-flaws episode.
Lets start with the whole re-marriage sequence. It was to be a Demello-Rose wedding but the PDA and stares from Maan-Geet were just absolutely OTT. Given how professional Maan's charater is supposed to be, it just did not suit his characterization to be so moony-eyed at his client's wedding. We get it...they are in love...but there are so many nicer ways to show that without making the leads appear like caricatures of themselves. What's that for...TRPs. If the writers are true to the story and the characters, the TRPs will speak for themselves.
Moving on to the Dev sequence...that seemed like it was just there to add an element of thrill on whether he will get to Maan before Geet or not...so NOT needed. Dadi told him Maan was at a client's wedding. Knwoing how hot-headed and work-crazy his "bro" is, what does Dev do...take off to confront him at a CLIENT's wedding! Agggghhhhh!!!! I will be able to swallow the sequence if, next week, they show he entered a different place and not the wedding venue.
Finally, the much awaited 3DD secene... Dramatic Declaration (DD) scene between Dusht Danav and his Dil ki Dhadkan...it was as expected. The romance between these guys has become so predictably displayed. Yeah all our romantic little hearts loved it...of course we would...that is exactly CVS is playing to....I admit, I am a sucker for it too! I expected more. Maan's expression did not show the dynamism I was hoping for when he heard Geet say she was pregnant. Disappointed. But it takes the story forward so that is a good thing.
Lastly, I am not happy about the angry young man showing up again as per the new promo. After all that Geet & Maan have been through, esp the last sequence in HSP, I expected Maan to be shocked but if CVS is true to their storyline and character, he should come back to confront Geet and ask her for the WHOLE story. The anger should be about Geet not having TRUSTED him earlier to share her pain...NOT about feeling cheated or betrayed because she did not reveal it.
Phew...
