Sorry to barge in, I am a silent reader of the Den and am not sure what reserved means, but I thought I would try. This feels like I am in Year 3 in school and am starting a new school, where everyone and everything is new and I am the distressed shy newcomer (but this is virtual world so if you hate me I am not going to sob!) š Anyway, all of you have a lot of gyan and I have none and my analysis of sorts will be like Blind man leading people with good eyesight. Hope to come back....my three kids (twins +a 4 year old!) are jumping all over me and the computer....very difficult to type!
BTW, the only reason I am typing this despite my devils is that all of you seem like a fun bunch....a lot humour...good for my soul...
-EDITED-
'Breathe in, slowly let it out, repeat breathing slowly.... be aware of your body, your environment....slowly release, let go'- NO, its not me asking you to follow, neither was it my tiny little voice in my head while I watched the Pee Loon sequence. It is/was the voice of my yoga instructor at 15.00 in the afternoon, going through a relaxation routine, almost sending me to sleep and drift into sleep I did before- BANG, I woke up with a start- you see as my eyelids got heavy with sleep,my po*nmind flashed images from SBS of the sensual dance. In reality, I was in a class filled with seniorish citizens doing their relaxation routine. In reality, as I watched, immersed in the passion in Maan's eyes (not distracted in the least by ay excessive hyperventilating from geet) -BANG, I was rudely shaken from my oasis by a RUDE motorist, because just as Maan was about to kiss her lips, that ....that......that....twit in the black bike came and BANGED onto my forehead and I woke up with a start- Where, why, how, when....what crappy editing!
Frankly, what a lame wedding, I have seen better. It lasted all of 2 seconds! Loved the way Maan looked at Geet and the way Geet looked at her ring. But Maan looked small when standing behind George. The tiny smile of anticipation on Maan's face, the apprehension and the shy looks on Geets face, the comic look on george's face (supposed to be romantique) were all perfect. And I loved the song.
Maan laughing with the kids- I did not think this scene was necessary. I am not sure what they were trying to achieve. The smile was over the top. It seemed more like Gurmeet than Maan. Ofcourse, the minute Maan sees Geet he comes back to character. But I did not like this scene, especially the smile or Gurmeet diction, it just did not suit Maan.
CENSORED- Dev on bed- all that trashing around made him look like one of those bgrade bollywood rape victims! I thought it was crass and vulgar (I dont mean to be rude, but it was tasteless) ....Lets admit it, he is no Joey Tribiani sleeping in the nude. Joey was cute, Dev is EWWWWW. BTW, who wondered if he had boxers on or track pants?! š
I loved the pee loon sequence....but seriously, I dont think Geet should hyperventilate so much. Ahem, I dont think women hyperventilate so much in reality! Maan's expressions were perfect and Drashti was good too.
Now coming to the promo, I dont think it was necessary for Geet to have told Maan this before so Maan should not misunderstand Geet. In my eyes, they were strictly boss and secretary. Ofcourse, they had the hots for each other, cared for each other, looked out for each other. But they did not share a close relationship for Geet to have shared something this painful. I'm sure it is something she feels traumatised about. No one would want to confide this with a newly found friend. She had no opportunity, no reason, no motivation to tell this truth about herself to Maan and when she felt the need, motivation, it is the first thing she told him. And I would like to add that Maan did not give her the opportunity to continue so when he does next week, she will tell him. I look forward to that. Maan's reaction of anger was expected. I dont know what else he would have done. So I guess its time for him to sulk and come to terms with it, as he has always done. Perhaps he could have waited for a complete explanation before vamoozing, but like Jyoti said it wouldnt really make very good storytelling if everything was sorted in one go:)
Ok- on a seperate note, I heard Sameera is just round the corner waiting to dig her claws into the story. Me NOT looking forward to Sameera angle. I am one of those people who feel Geet is MSKs first and only love. He does not look like he has been this madly in love before. So I dont think they should show a deeply passionate love angle between Maan and Sameera. I wish they would clearly state that Maan's feelings for her were infatuation and not real.
