Is Geet (the show) becoming too westernized? - Page 8

I don't think so, i mean i don't like shows being all westernized either but Geet for me has not been westernized. I don't see a major change, i do see a change in Geet but that was necessary because that's kind of the story, where a simple and innocent girl has to come out of her shell and face the world due to her family's cruelty and to show that the CV's had to show a little bit of modernism. As far as the intimate scenes are concerned, i don't think we've seen any really really intimate scenes, scenes such as these are very common in shows on air these days so i think it's fine the way it's going. If you're comparing it to DMG and MJHT and such shows like that, i don't agree because a lot more intimate scenes have been done in a lot of saas-bahu shows and those shows are supposed to be totally in indian style, so i don't think the intimate scenes have gone far or anything. But yeah if there's any lip kissing in the future than i would say it's gone too far, that for me is kinda westernizing but i'm sure that won't happen. Other than that it's totally your POV and we all totally respect that 😊.

whatever alest the show is good that what matters. you know some different to watch. no repaeted storys that you can predict what going to happen.

by the way isnt Star One some kind of youth or teen channel or something of that sort where there are no saas-bahu bakwaas!

I have to disagree with you..
Geet did not become westernized..it became Indianized on another level... Villages are NOT just India, rt?

I mean just saying if geet goes back to dark ages of india tv then not only me but many ppl will quit watching and DMG and MJHT are not westernized that kinda stuff does happen in india! and some of you ppl act like being westernized is bad disgust me! Just my opinion!

I don't think it's westernized. Keeping in mind the target audience of the show and channel, I think the kind of scenes that are shown fit the bill. India as a country has many facets, from the orthodox, traditionally living in rural areas, to the more modernized lifestyle in metro cities. I think it's important for the scenes to be depicted as per the setting. You cannot say one lifestyle is more Indian than the other, as it is very subjective.
