Part XI
Early morning both were getting ready, usually Asit would get up and be ready to go to his gym and from there to the set today he was in the drawing room searching something.
Kinnari washed her face and came outside saw him searching and asked him, isn't he getting late, he replied her that something very precious has just slipped from his pocket and he is searching it. Kinnari went to have a bath but she couldn't get her kurta off as her hair had entangled in the hook on her Kurta back neckline… She tried it but her hair became too messy and getting more entangled. While trying to get the hook off from her hair she informed Asit, he is almost half an hour late for his shoot. Asit said, even if he has to skip the shoot he will but needs to get his ring. While Asit was saying he looked at her and understood her hook and hair have got entangled. He went near her and asked , Can he help her. Kinnari first felt bit awkward later she said, 'U wont take any khari kamaee for this right?' Asit smiled and said.. That makes him to ask something.. it would be wonderful if she helps him too, by searching the ring for him which just slipped from his shirt pocket and came rolling in the drawing room but he can't get it now… Kinnari agreed and Asit made her hair to come in front and touching the her hair softly he slowly tried to remove each hair from the hook and Kinnari had her head down and finally Asit removed the hair and tied the hook properly..
Kinnari told Asit even such scene are shown to be so romantic in the serials… but did he feel anything.. kuch kuch inside.. Asit said , 'NO!' shrugging of his face… while Kinnari was asked the same by Asit, she too said, 'NO Not at all… no kuch kuch happening'. They both wondered why the writers write like that… both smiled and in their heart kept asking.. "Really Kuch Kuch ho raha hai.. " The mere fact that they were physically so close made them feel something.. Some want… but both were unaware what it is….
Kinnari later started searching the ring and after few minutes she found the ring, she looked at it and was amused. She gave the ring to Asit. Asit was very happy and Kinnari asked him,
Kinnari: Its ur ring?… Is this the same ring u told me about which u keep in ur pocket every time close to ur heart. That's how the seashore pic with ur hand on ur heart standing beside me was taken… Is this the same ring?
Asit : Why get so shocked, ya it is the same ring…
Kinnari: R U going to give such a ring to the girl u love the most…
Asit: Of course… not 'such a ring' but 'this ring' ….
Kinnari: I know Asit u have a collection of more than 40-50 belts with u... but its weird to make a ring shaped in a belt and give to ur lady love.. I mean just think of it… everyone gives a flower shape, heart shaped, diamond shaped something like that to his or her love. Belt…shaped.. sounds soo..aa. I mean.. Not to hurt u… ok.. but …
Asit: U know Kinnari when I was in college I had a crush on a girl and u can say I was in love with her... whatever it was at that age.. I wanted to propose to her.. so everyone told me.. give her something.. I decided I would give her a ring… At that age I could be like other boys buy a ring and give her… but I was so excited about the whole thing that I thought about what ring to give her… I never asked for money from my parents when it came to buying gifts for my friends. So I worked distributing pamplets and in a day earned some 100- 150... I could buy only silver ring with that money, I had a fascination towards collecting belts from that time itself and my sister came in my room , she told me why I buy these belts… no use having so many… and in just casual discussion…I told her.. 'Di dont u know.. it's the belt which gives the stroke of perfection, it supports the whole look of the clothes and with it actually gives confidence, to face the people and ties us closely so that we never fall with any embarrassment.' My sister smiled with stunned eyes at the words, said I speak philosophy well, and went away… After that it strike me.. that I want to tell my girlfriend that I want to be with her all time and it will be my love which will hold her tightly, not let her fall…give her support all my life and as they say the ring fingers nerves directly connect to the heart.. I want to tell her my love with tightly protect her heart and the ring shaped like belt can see its closed and u can never let it loose the grip, same way my love will always surround her heart with tight grip and be there with her. Those innocent thoughts at that time were genuine and I feel the one whom I love should have this ring in her finger as my promise to her.
Kinnari: what happen when u gave her the ring…
Asit: the girl I had crush, ahhaha She rejected my proposal even before having a look at the ring… She said very politely 'U need to concentrate on getting ur ATKT cleared first'. She is now married with two kids they look exactly like her…
Kinnari smiled listening to his thoughts…
Asit: U want to laugh at me and my stupid thought.. U r welcome.. I am getting late.. I will go…
Kinnari: Asit… (he turned back) Every ring can be termed as beautiful, lovely, cute…. having feelings. They have the beauty delicate in nature as a woman will wear in her ring finger. First when I saw I assumed how a girl would like this to be in her ring finger.. but after knowing the concept u attached … I can say The girl whom u would wish to wear this ring in her finger has to be extremely lucky… its something she can wear her whole life and fall in love with u again and again by looking at it… as it tells a story about what Love can innocently say. Firstly, it is made up of ur first hard earned money, Secondly it is not about what people perceive; it is about what ur heart speaks to her. The mere knowledge that u keep this silver ring close to ur heart.. I am sure u will keep her in ur heart forever.. We hardly can find such committed people and I am so proud.. even if it is a contractual marriage at least I get the privileged of been called ur Wife…
Asit smiled with her words and for some reason he was so moved that he couldn't say anything more. Feeling too flattered and feeling something to tell her. He just looked into her eyes and she looked in his eyes… the glow on their faces made them to stand and feel the magic, the vibes around which just wanted to push them to hug each other… but something held them back. Asit was disturbed by a sms from his EP and he rushed outside. He did remembered that when he had shown this ring to Tanishka she had said the first thing.. . 'Silver? Don't u have enough money?'and had a disappointed expression…later she had quickly told.. 'give this to urself. Get me a diamond… don't u know diamond r girls best friend….'
Asit went drove his car..and felt.. 'Something something happening.. I am loving this feeling so much?' Kinnari went into the bathroom to have shower and as she looked at herself in the mirror…. She blushed and said, 'Aaj mera Dil Kyun itna khush hota hai…Kyun kuch kuch hota hai?'
