Part 28
Recap-Ranbir and Kanya makeup. Ranbir tells Aditya about the misunderstanding he and Kanya had with Aditya telling him off.
Ranbir and Kanya go to a private clinic for a scan of their baby. Kanya takes off her jewellery and gives them to Ranbir and lies down on the bed with Ranbir by her side. The sonographer comes in and puts some clear gel on Kanya's stomach. Kanya feels a little cold and laughs. The sonographer was called Emma who put the transducer firmly against Kanya's stomach and sweeps it back and forth. Ranbir and Kanya could see a clear image on screen and actually see their baby. They could hear the heartbeat. Kanya was very emotional. She couldn't believe she was seeing her baby and started crying. Ranbir was in awe of the vision in front of him.
E-Would U like to know the sex of the baby. U R over 3 months pregnant now. I can tell U if U want?
R-Its up 2 Kanya!
K-I want it to be a surprise.
E-Theres double beatings. If i'm not mistaken there might be another baby. I think U R having twins Mrs Nanda. Can U see there.
K-Ranbir i can't see it.
R-Where?
E-Here!
R-Oh yeah.
K-I still can't see.
R-Kanya if U would stop crying for a second i think you will be able to see.
E-There Mrs Nanda.
R-Can U see it now?
K-My babies. I can see them. Ranbir this is the best day of my life.
R-I can't believe we R actually seeing them.
K-I know.
R-I can't wait to see them.
E-R U sure U don't want to know the sex of the baby?
R-R they both the same sex?
K-Yes i want to know otherwise if they R i don't want to know.
E-Yes.
R-Thats all i want to know.
Emma does some tests on Kanya. She takes a few samples of blood. She then tells them that the results will arrive home to them and gives them a cd with the ultrasound and a photo. Ranbir and Kanya head out of the clinic and thank Emma so much. Kanya and Ranbir beam with the biggest smile on their faces.
Back at home Aidtya bhaiya is home with laddoo's and some chocolate. He also knew that Kanya hadn't eaten due to going in the clinic h bought her supplies of sour Mangoes and a house full of chocolate and ice creams of different variety. He knew she'd need it. Looking at the smiles on their faces Aditya knew it was good news. He was so eager to learn of the news and in a way was sad that he wasn't there. Kanya gave Aditya bhaiya a hug. Ranbir grinned.
A-Kya baat hain dono itna kush.
R-Double good news jo hain.
A-Tum hara kehna kya hain?
K-Judwaa. We R having twins.
R-I wanted to say it.
K-Jaan i couldn't help myself.
R-Next time i'm telling.
K-U can say it on the phone baby to Mummyji and my parents.
A-I didn't think wins ran in our family.
K-They run in my mums side of the family. I used to have one but she died.
R-U never told me that.
K-It was when we were babies.
A-I'm sorry.
K-Don't be we have a new set to look forward to.
A-We can tell Archie the news she will be over the moon and give her something to look forward to.
K-Yes Ranbir mujhe milwao na. Your infamous sister. I want to see how she looks like.
R-We will soon now go eat something first. Then we will go.
K-Make me something.
A-If Ranbir makes U something he will give U food poisoning. In this state its not right.
K-I want burnt toast with Chocolate spread.
R-Have U gone Mad?
K-Its one of my unusual craving but these 2 love variety as U know.
R-U go sit or take a lie down and i will make it for U.
Ranbir starts to make toast a la Ranbir style and adds loads of Chocolate spread and some orange spread and gives her strawberry ice-cream with strawberry syrup loads of it piled on. He takes it to Kanya and she eats it all up and the ice cream. She gulps down the orange juice. Ranbir can't believe she didn't leave him any.
He goes down stairs and gets himself something to eat a sandwich and makes a mess of the kitchen. Aditya bhaiya comes in and cleans up the mess. They both drink coffee while looking at the cd. Aditya bhaiya starts crying. Ranbir is too moved and starts crying.
A-In my day we never had that.
R-Technology na its wonderful.
A-I know. U R so lucky teri biwi tujhe kitna pyar karthi hain Jab main baap bane wala tha Astha ne mujhe gharse nikaal diya tha aur kitna ghaliya.
R-Kanya bhi kam nahin ghali nahin deti mujhe aur bahar nikalna tho kya uff thak nahin karthi. Akele rihti hain. That more painful to watch.
A-Mera bhai atleast U know she loves U. She has really changed your life.
R-I know. Oh god time dekho.We need to go see Archie.
A-Pehle dekh Kanya soh rahi hain ya nahin.
Ranbir goes upstairs and sees Kanya up and ready looking radiant. She was wearing Pink kurtha with jeans and some pink matching jewellary. He shut the door behind and started to pounce on her. Kanya moved away quickly.
K-Ranbir hume dher ho rahi hain. I want to see your sister now move it.
R-Kanya i so want to ravish U now.
K-Leave that for the night. U can do what U wish but not now.
R-Kanya just once.
K-Ranbir U know with us its never once.
R-But.
K-But nothing. If we don't get moving U will be missing one heck of a night.
R-Oh But i want some serious making up time.
K-U will get it and more now come on.
Ranbir lets go of the door. He sulks and then grabs hold of Kanya and gives her one big kiss that lasted for ages. They go downstairs and Aditya bhaiya starts laughing at the 2. Ranbir wonders what it was. Kanya looks at Ranbir and blushes she gets a tissue from her handbag and wipes Ranbir's lips and the 3 get out to the car. Aditya drives in the front while Ranbir holds Kanya's hand in the back. They both continue to look at each other.
They arrive at the NY centre where Archie is getting her treatment for her drug addiction. They enter the main hall feeling a little nervous especially Kanya as she wanted Archie to like her. Who knew what might happen but she was Ranbir's sister so she would love her no matter what. Aditya took lead as he knew where she was they opened the door na see a frail looking person stood up gazing at them with eager eyes but with a curiosity of the unknown. Archie took one look at her brother Ranbir and ran to him and embraced him. She then started hitting him with her fist in a playful manner.
AN-It took U 3 months and 1 week 2 days to see me. Maine dekha bhai ko behen keliye koi pyar hi nahin.
R-Archie baby U know i love U but i was in india for 3 months and then got delayed for a week.
AN-What about the other 2 days?
R-Trust me it was some emergencies at home and work i had to tend to. But for U Archie i have all the time in the world.
AN-U R forgiven for noe but in the future there better not be any excuses.
R-Yes mam. Look who's here with me?
Archie looks at Kanya up and down. She didn't have the faintest idea who she was nor did she care. She assumed it was a friend of her brothers. Actually Aditya bhaiya did tell Archie about a new woman in Ranbir's life.
A-I didn't tell her U got married. I thought she better hear it from U.
R-Its your new bhabie.
A-Yeah right! I would have known.
R-Everything happened fast.
A-Well bhabie U R crazy taking on bro but hats off for taming Mr Romeo but watch your back!
R-She doesn't mean that!

R-So hows my sister doing?
AN-Good
R-We R thinking of taking U home ok. After talking to the doctor and final assesments tomorrow.
