Recap:Sujal confesses his love to kashish and is waiting for her to respond...Umesh tells him that kashish and chandru r his kids.................................................... 
Kashish is very confused....she wants to forget the havoc that sujal has created in her life and move on...she knows that sujal is the person with whom she will be happy, but still there is some hesitation...some doubt that's eating her up...she knows that sujal is waiting for her to speak out her mind...she knows that sooner or later she will have to tell him what's going on...she concludes that the only person with whom she can ask for a solution is sujal himself...so she decides to put everything that is there in her mind before him... She is waiting for him to come home... .........................
.......................... Sujal is drving endlessly for the past hour or so....he doesnt know where he is going...After umesh told him that kashish is his daughter,he is not able to decide if she is the right girl for him...his decision to marry a girl from a poor family is very strong and he is not able to fight it...but now his love for kashish is also beyond all these things....the result is, a lot of mental struggle and conflict...his heart tells him not to care abt kashish's wealth...but his principles are not allowing him to do that... Its almost midnight when he entered home...he quitely comes in and walks directly towards his room... ................................................. He is really tired both mentally and physically...he wants to go and see if kashish is sleeping or awake, but he holds himself back and goes into his room....He changes and tries to go to sleep only in vain...so he goes into the balcony....he is so lost in his own thots that he see kashish standing there in another corner....Kashish also does not see him and thinking abt how to tell sujal, what she is going thru... both of them spend almost an hour or so and kashish decides to leave, since there is no sign of sujal yet...when kashish is just abt to leave Sujal sees her but keeps quite...kashish goes off into her room, wondering where sujal wld've gone.... ............................................................ .... Next day morning sujal wakes up and gets ready to go to office as he has got some important meetings to attend... 
He comes down fully ready...kashish and chandru r waiting for him at the breakfast table....but he leaves without even paying attention to them...Kashish thinks that he is busy and did not even see them....so she goes behind him and calls him... "aap break fast khaye bina hi jaa rahe hai?" Sujal without even turning back tells her:ha...wo kya hai ki aaj ek bohot hi important meeting attend karni hai aur mujhe late jaana bilkul pasand nahi... kashish:kam se kam coffee tho pee ke jaayiye..kal raat bhi aap ne kuch nahi khaya... sujal turns to face her:that's ok kashish...mujhe wakai me der ho rahi hai... he leave a troubled kashish behind.... kashish wonders why in one day sujal's face has become so dull....she thinks its all work tension.... Here sujal is still in dilemma....he first of all doesnt know how kashish is going to take it when she knows that umesh is her father... .......................................................... 
Umesh is thinking very hard abt the best way to let kashish and chandru know abt his reality...but is afraid abt the consequences...he remembers what kashish told him once...she told him how much chandru hates their father.... For him the only person to go to when he needs for any ideas is sujal...so he calls up sujal on his cell... Sujal:hello umesh:ha beta sujal..mein umesh bol raha hu.... after the pleasentaries... Umesh:sujal the reason i called u is...i need ur help sujal... shruti is at home only and when umesh was on phone she comes down to get something and stops when she hears kashish's name being mentioned... Umesh:ha sujal...u r right...i am not having enough strength to tell kashish and chandru that they r my children...i just dont have enough stamina...i'm sacred to even think abt the consequences... shruti is astonished to hear this.....she cant believe what she heard...she is shocked beyond any words can explain... Sujal:uncle i understand what u were trying to say...but sooner or later u have to tell her right...and before they come to know thru somebody else , its better that u tell them... Umesh:ha lekin kaise... sujal:uncle tell them the truth as it is and lets face the consequences....we cant be scared of the consequences and stop doing what needs to be done... umesh:still not sure how he was going to do it..."alright sujal...i will see u at ur home" ............................................................ ..... Umesh comes to sujal's home to talk to kashish and chandru...to finally tell them the truth... Kashish is reading some book in the living room... She sees umesh coming in and gets surprised..."sir...aap?" Umesh:hello kashish...beta kaise ho...he feels very bad looking at her...he again remembers savita and is almost in tears.... Kashish:mein theek hu sir...how r u doing?wondering why he is looking so different and intense... umesh:sujal told me that u r here... kashish:sorry sir...i only shld 've told u abt the latest developments that have happened in my life...but i was so much in shock and grief that i was not able to think of all these things... umesh:that's ok kashish...kashish mujhe tumhare maa ke baare mein pata chala....he cld not control anymore and breaks into tears.... kashish also starts crying.... chandru also comes out hearing all this and wonders why this person is getting so emotional abt their mother...he thinks that this person must be a very sensitive one...he has seen umesh before from real far and knows that he is kashish's boss... the atmosphere there gets a little heavy.... umesh:kashish i need to talk to u and chandru... Both chandru and kashish r surprised and curious as to what it cld be that he was going to tell them.... kashish gets up to call chandru but as he is already there, he also comes in and joins them and introduces himself... "sir...i'm chandru"... Umesh is so amazed to look at him cos he looks exactly like how he used to look when he was of chandru's age... he goes and hugs chandru....chandru is a little taken aback with this unexpected gesture... kashish also feels a little awkward... umesh:the thing that i want to tell u, i dont know how i'm going to tell...God help me...but after i tell u the whole thing, i;m ready to accept whatever u want to do abt it... kashish and chandru are looking at eachother's faces...they r completely confused.... umesh:did u ever asked ur mamma, who ur father was? hearing this chandru's facial expressions changed instantly into anger and hatred...he blurts out..."is this what u came here for...if this is what u wanted to know, then i think its very important to tell u that i can leave now".... kashish gives chandru a serious look...actually she is also annoyed with what umesh was trying to say/ask... umesh:ha...i know i deserve all the hatred that u 've for me.... Hearing this both of them look at eachother with a question mark.... umesh goes on and on and finally tells everything... Here the expressions on kashish and chandru's faces keep changing from surprise to shock to confusion to love to anger to hatred to...and so on... umesh looks at both of them...kashish is standing there like she is struck by some 1000volts of lightning or something.... chandru is fuming with anger and hatred...he wants to show all of it on umesh right now....the suffering that they had to go thru cos of him, all that comes in to his mind....he is first of all not even ready to accept him as his father.... chandru:u r very good at story telling...but we 've long passed that age of listening to stories.... umesh:i dont need to tell u any stories beta....just think what i will get by doing that....u r my children and savita is my wife...that's a fact.... he looks at kashish.... kashish is in some kind of a trans state...she just collapsed into the sofa and looking into space....even she remembers all those things that they had to go thru as children and also as adults cos their father was not with them.... chandru:no i cant accept anybody as my father...no i cant... umesh:please chandru...he tries to go near him but chandru runs away... kashish starts crying silently...umesh goes and sits next to her and waits for her to open up.... after some rona dhona and all that stuff kashish slowly comes into terms with the reality and accepts umesh as her father....she actually uinderstands the circumstances which lead them to get seperated....she hugs her father and cries bitterly.... she asks him where he was when the world did not allow them to live peacefully....she tells him abt the things that they had to go thru...and also how her mom died and how she lived in her last days..... umesh doesnt have answers to any of these things and feels very miserable... he promises to himself and kashish that all the unhappy things that r there in there life are a thing of past now...now he will make sure that there is only happiness in their lives... He is worried abt chandru, but kashish tells him that he will be fine and she will make sure abt that.... While they were talking sujal comes in and learns the whole thing and feels relieved that kashish took it in the right spirit and promises umesh that to manaofy chandru is his responsibility.... He actually doesnt look at kashish at all during the whole conversation and kashish notices this and gets doubtful as to why he is behaving that way.... umesh:sujal....thanks for taking care of my kids...u 've given them support at the most crucial point , when they really needed it and i'm really greatful for that.... sujal:that's ok uncle.... kashish is feeling a little odd abt this whole thing.... umesh:sujal u 've done a lot for us and now i dont want to burden u further so i'm planning to take kashish and chandru to my home right away.... sujal and kashish both lift up their heads and look at umesh and also at eachother.... sujal knew this was coming , but somehow he was not prepared for it....he wants kashish to be there with him forever, but at the same time is stuck with his principles... kashish is looking at sujal, curiously and anxiously for his response... sujal clears his throat:....uncle...u r welcome to do that....its after all ur rite....but i feel that u shld let them stay here for some more days atleast until chandru also starts accepting u as his father and also their mamaji and his wife are also going to come very soon....so... kashish is so cross with sujal that he said atleast chandru shld stay back...she thot that he didnt care for her.... umesh:ok then kashish what do u say?i think u shld come with me.... kashish:ha papa...(she very quickly got used to calling him papa after some real quick exercise...like...mujhe ek baar papa kehke bulao beti...sunne ko kaan taras rahe hai...bla bla bla)...whatever u want me to do...i 've no problems in coming with u.... sujal looks at her with pain and hurt in his eyes....he thinks that may be kashish never had any feelings for him...that's why she so effortlessly said that she can go with umesh.... umesh:no...no...come to think of it...i think kashish ...u shld stay back till ur uncle and aunty come back....i shld tell them and then take u...i think that's the right way to do it...what do u say sujal? sujal:whatever u say uncle...ur children...ur wish....(ives a forced smile...) kashish is really pissed of with sujal and sujal with kashish.... umesh tells kashish some more things and they all sit there for some more time before umesh gets a call from home... so umesh leaves telling bye to them and he tries to talk to chandru again ...but chandru locked himself in his room.... umesh leaves very reluctantly...he cant seem to have enough of them...its like he wants to catch up with all that he lost all these years.... So sujal and kashish are left behind.... kashish looks at sujal very angrily and sujal also gives her a hard stare... kashish:i didnt know that u were waiting for us to leave.... sujal looks at her annoyed...but he cools himself and tells her:kashish u shld have left with ur father.... kashish:why...am i already becoming a burden here... sujal:whatever u want to think...i really dont care...but its my duty to make sure that u reach ur rightful place as soon as possible... saying this he leaves from there.... kashish is left brooding over what he said............................................ kashish is worried as to why sujal is behaving this way...she thought that he started loving her but she doesnt understand this sudden change in him.... She decides whatever it is, she will talk to him the next day and clear all the misunderstandings............................................................. Next day...Kashish is in the kitchen preparing breakfast...Ramu kaka comes back from the village...Kashish welcomes him with a very sweet smile...She asks him how come u r here already...ramu kaka tells her that sujal called him to come back urgently.... While they were talking sujal comes down and he also welcomes ramu kaka but doesnt even look at kashish... kashish is really hurt with this kind of a behaviour from sujal... She doesnt want to stay there anymore... Meanwhile umesh comes in....sujal called him to join them for breafast/// Kashish goes and says goodmorning papa... umesh:oh good morning bets...kaisi ho... kashish:i'm fine papa... sujal:oh aayiye uncle...good morning/// umesh:goodmorning sujal...sorry for keeping u guys waiting.... sujal:arre nahi uncle... after the break fast and all that...sujal excuses himself and goes into his office room.... Umesh also goes behind him.... Umesh:sujal i'm so happy.....the credit shld go to u only...thanks for everything sujal....without u, i dont know what i wld 've done...u took care of chandru also... sujal:that's ok uncle...please dont embarrass me... umesh:sujal actually i want to talk to u abt kashish's marriage... Kashish is just abt to come in, to give them coffee... she gets all alert and sujal who is looking into something, also gets alert and waits for the next sentence anxiously... umesh:dont misunderstand me...but u know the first person that came to my mind for kashish is u... sujal is fully tensed...here kashish is also getting tensed, but also feeling very happy... umesh:even if i want to, i will not be able to get a better life partner for my darling daughter.... sujal is listening... umesh:but... sujal lifts his head and looks at umesh... umesh:but i know u r not ready to marry a rich girl....and i know how much every i want we will never become related... sujal is heart wrenched....he thot umesh will some how manaofy him...he is not able to even imagine what wld happen to him if kashish is taken away from his life...these past few months after he met kashish, she kind of became his life line.......afte umesh raised the topic, somehow all his confusions were put to rest and he feels assured that kashish is THE GIRL for him...he wants to scream and say this to umesh... umesh:so...i'm thinking of talking to lalith and vasu and asking them if they wld make my daughter their bahu... sujal is shocked at this turn of things.... kashish is shattered....she doesnt understand this weird thing of sujal not willing to marry a rich girl and she also wonders how she became a rich girl over night....she also is utterly disappointed at sujal's reaction, even after knowing everything, she doesnt understand how he cld let her go...she wonders how somebody cld be so heartless... sujal doesnt know how to react....he is just dumbfounded... umesh:so sujal what do u think.... kashish is all ears... sujal clears his throat:uncle....if i think its the right thing to do...it must surely be the best thing for kashish...anyways ask kashish also and then go ahead...excuse me uncle i will be right back.... he comes out and finds kashish standing there....he freezes for a moment and both of them stare at eachother what seemed like forever...their eyes speak so many things which even their words may have failed to express.. sujal leaves.... kashish also wants to go behind him, but her ego is bruised very badly...now she wants to somehow hurt sujal.... sujal comes into his room...closes the doors behind hin....holds his head in his hands and collapses on the bed....he never felt so helpless in his life... umesh comes intot he living room and sits next to kashish... he clears his throat and starts the same topic... umesh:kashish, i know its kind of weird to talk abt ur marriage so early...i mean considering that we got together only y'day...but beti...its my responsiblity and also i want to see u settled as soon as possible....kal ka kya pata... kashish keeps quite.... umesh:if u have any objections dont hesitate to tell me.... sujal is coming down and he can hear the conversation....he stops right there adn he is also anxiously waiting for kashish's response.... kashish speaks:nahi papa...agar aap yahi theek samajhte hai to mujhe bhi koi ethraaj nahi hai.... umesh:that's great....mujhe tumse yahi ummeed thi... umesh:acha kashish...piyush ko to tum jaanti ho...jaha thak mein samajhta hu, tum dono bohot ache dost bhi ho...kya ye dosti kabhi pyar me.....(he pauses) kashish:i know what u were trying to say papa...but we never thought abt these things... umesh:actually i want to talk to piyush's parents...u r happy right? kashish is not at all ready for this....she is absolutely at a fix... she doesnt know what to say and umesh thinks she is sharmaofying hearing abt shaadi and all that... sujal who is listening to the whole conversation gets heart broken....he feels like going and giving a tight slap to kashish and remind her the reality...he wants to scream to the whole world that kashish is his wife....but then he thinks, what is the use of this realtionship which is one sided..he decides to free kashish from this so called meaning less shaadi ka bandhan...and also he knows that kashish will keep piyush happy, though he is not sure if their match is a perfect one.... he walks into the living room thinking abt these things...umesh looks at sujal and tells him with a beaming face abt kashish's acceptance... sujal looks at kashish and kashish who is already looking at sujal, just looks away with lot of pain in her eyes... sujal goes near to kashish and tells her: congratulations!!! Kashish is very angry and also helpless....she doesnt even give a flip to sujal's words and keeps looking away... umesh, who is kind of flying high says bye to them and leaves.... sujal keeps staring at kashish and kashish also returns his gaze with double the intensity....both of them are severly misunderstanding eachother... sujal was abt to say something very strongly when both of them get distracted with the sound of foot steps at the entrance...both of them get surprised looking at the person.... ............................................................ ... end of part 17.......with love
