I'd Have to Kill You

"Im-" I started and then stopped. S***, s***, s***! I was right outside the van- and there was a camera aimed right at this face. I would get into soo much trouble! Not knowing what to do, I grabbed Liz's hand and made a run for it.

"Hey!" he called after me, with a confused (and adorable) look. I kept running, my thoughts still scrambled. I hope no one would really pay attention to my camera screen- I mean, c'mon! The observers ought to pay attention to the girls who always do stuff like that. Not to me! I never did anything wrong!

Once we were at the gate of the fair, I stopped, breathless. Not because I had just run- I ran all the time; I could run for miles without breaking a sweat. I was breathless because I was so embarrassed. I couldn't believe what I just did! Apparently Liz couldn't either.

"What's wrong with you Kripa?!" Liz said, with narrowed eyes.

"I don't know what to do!" I replied, breathing unevenly.

"What?!"

"The camera was aimed right up at his face Liz!" Awareness crossed Liz's pretty face.

"Oh." She thought for a second, then brightened. "I have an idea!"

Uh-oh.

"What?" I asked, warily.

"Take off your earrings!"

I looked at her in astonishment. Was she crazy?!

"Listen, you take out your earrings, give em to me, and ill wear them on my second hole."

"But what if they ask us why we were constantly seeing the same thing?" I asked.

"We say that we stuck together the whole time. As it is, no one bothers to ever look at your screen. Even if we win, no one will care to see how we won- we'll just be congratulated."

Realization dawned upon me- it might work.

"Fine." I replied.

"Yay!" Liz cheered, "Now give em to me."

I took my earrings off, and she put them on.

"Alright. Now call me if you need me." She kissed my cheek, hugged me, and walked into the air gates. I could see a few guys' eyes following her. Smiling, I turned and crashed right into him.

"Hey." He said.

"Hi" I replied, hesitant.

"Do I smell bad?" he asked.

What?! I just stared at him.

"Do I smell bad?" he asked again.

I finally replied. "Um, what?"

"You ran away like I smelled or something." He smiled.

"Oh."

"So why'd you run away?" he asked, still smiling.

"Erm. My friend had to go to the bathroom." I replied, not understanding what I said until it was already out of my mouth.

Crap crap crap. Im an idiot!

Apparently he didn't think so.

"Oh? Well did she get to go?" he smirked. I kinda got the feeling he knew I was lying.

"Um yes. Infact, that's where she is right now."

"Sweet. So you're waiting for her?" he asked.

"No. We decided to split up and meet later." I smiled. Go me!

"Even sweeter." He said. "So you're alone?"

Common sense told me to say no- he was, after all, a perfect stranger.

"Yes." Stupid me.

He smile broadened, showing off his perfect teeth.

"Me too. Im Angad by the way."

"Kripa."

We smiled at each other.

That's the new part! Short. I've decided that ill update with short parts, but ill update more often. So that's why it's short. The Devil Wears Armani will be updated next. Look out for that. 10 comments to continue!
