The next day, at the Hall

Abhimanyu: "at ease cadets. Aaj hum ne aap sab 1^st year cadets yaha ek bohot badi responsibility den aka liya buliya hai. Jaisa ki aap sab janta hai 15 August bas kuch hi din mein hai. Aur is saal bhi, KMA ki parampara ko nibhata hua 1^st year cadets sab tariya karanga. Cadet Singh, step forward." (At ease cadets. Today I have call all the 1^st year cadets here to give a very big responsibility. Like all of you know 15^th august is just a couple of days away, and this year the 1^st first year cadets will plan the event and keep the traditions of KMA. Cadet Singh step forward)

Asha looked around her and awkwardly walked two steps forward.

Abhimanyu: "Cadet Singh, app ko is team ki leader hai. Sab ko duties dena, aur saab cheez samalna aap ki zimezari hai. Remember Cadet agar kissi se bhi, koi bhi galti ho gayi to punish aap honge. Crystal" (Cadet Singh, you are being appointed the leader of this team. It is your responsibility to give everyone their duties. Remember Cadet, if anyone makes any mistake than you will be punished for it. Crystal)

Asha: "Clear."

Abhimanyu: Good, Lt. Chauhan, aur Lt. Malik aap sab ko supervise karange so if you have any questions ask them. Now dismiss. (Good, Lt. Chauhan and Lt. Malik will supervise you so if you have any question ask them. Now Dismiss.)

Abhimanyu left with rest of the faculty following, except Raghu and Priyanka.

Raghu: "So Cadet Singh kya kya soch hai?" (So cadet Singh what have you thought?)

Asha: "Sir, hum pura academy ko saffron, white and green mein dhak leainga. Har diwar pai hamara jhanda hoga, aur academy ka bich o bich hum flag ceremony karangai." (Sir we cover the entire academy in saffron, white and green. We will hang our flag on every wall, and hold the flag ceremony in the middle of the academy)

Priyanka: "Not bad, magar yeah sab hoga kaisa." (Not bad, but all this, how will you do it?)

Asha: "Ummm, Prerna aur Abhijeet decoration handle karanga, aur Shaad aur vijay khana preperation karanga aur mein aur Rhidi entertainment department." (Ummm, Prerna and Abhijeet will handle decoration, and Shaad and Vijay will fix the food and Ridhi and I will handle the entertainment department)

Raghu: "Not bad, looks like you have figured everything out. If you need anything than we are ready to help, otherwise get to work"

A couple of days later all the cadets were once again gathered in the hall.

Asha: Guys, updates.

Vijay: "Khana aya har saaman aa chukka hai." (All the necessary ingredient for the food are here)

Prerna: "aur decoration bhi lag bag sab ho chukka hai kyu Abhi" (And the decoration is almost done, why Abhi?)

Abhi: "Whatever"

Prerna: "Yaar tera problem kya hai, khabhi mujhe sheeda muh jhawav nahi deh shakta kya? (Yaar what is your problem, when vcan't you ever give me straight answer.)

Abhi: "Kyu kya mein tera boyfriend hoo jo teri haar baat ka sheeda seeda jhawav dyu?" (Why, am I your boyfriend, who has you answer all your question?)

Everyone else (expect Abhi and Prerna) with a shocked expression: "BOYFRIEND!!!!!"

Abhi: Tum sab itna shocked kyu behave kar raha hoo. It was an expression, aur no offence but mein iska boyfriend khabi nahi ban shakta." (Why are you all acting shocked? It was an expression, and no offence but I will never be her boyfriend)

Prerna feeling offended: "kyu, kya kharabi hai mujh mein" (Why, what is wrong with me)

Abhi: "Kharabi yeah hai tum ek number ki rhontu ho. Agar kuch nah mile to ek dam roni shakal bani leti hai. Aur woh jo tu meri peeche Abhi, Abhi, karta huya bhaag ta hai who farak. Ek dam baachi hai, aur maturity ki dur dur tak koi signal nahi hai" (What is erong is that you are number one cry baby. If you don't get anything, you make thiAsha could say anythis crying face. And the fact that you follow me around saying Abhi Abhi is something else. You are a baby and maturity is nowhere in sight.)

Prerna coming closer to Abhi: "How dare you"

Rhidi: "Abhi that was really mean yaar"

Abhi: "What I am just telling the truth"

Shaad: "Aacha chodiya aur yeah batiaya ki kyasi ladki pasand hai aapko" (Ok, eave it and tell us what kind of girl do you want)

Abhi: "Dekho doshto, aur kuch ho yeah na ho, ladki understanding aur mature honi cheya, jaisa ki...hamari Asha, kyu?" (Look friends, everything else doesn't matter as long as the girl is mature and understanding like...our Asha why?

Abhi winked at Asha, which made Shaad flume in anger, though he didn't know the reason for his anger, therefore before before Asha could say anything, Shaad spoke.

Shaad: "What nonsense? Aap aur Asha? Aap yeah kya bol raiha hai. Dekhkiya Asha un ladkio mein se nahi hai jo app kipeecha peecha bhagti hai" (What nonsense? You and Asha?" What are you saying? Look, Asha is not the type of girl, who runs behind you)

Asha: "Shaadji, mein aapna liya khud bol Shakti hoo so please. Aur tum to aisa bol rahai ho jaisa tum ne bohot sari ladkio se baat karta ho. Aaj tak mein ne tummha Rhidi, Perena aur mera shiva kisi se bhi baad karta nahi suna hai" (Shaadji, I can speak for myself so please. And you are talking as if you have taked to a lot of girls. Till today I haven't seen you take to anyone except Rhidi, Prerna and I"

This started an argument between Shaad and Asha as well as between Prerna and Abhi, while Vijay and Ridhi watched this scene unfold in front of them. They also notice sometjing that the 4 of them failed to notice.

Vijay: "In logo ki chemistry bohohot aache hai, kyu?" (Their chemistry is really good, right?)

Ridhi: "Chemistry to aachi hai, magar inki physics aur biology mein aacha baaungi" (Chemistry is good, but I will make their biology and Physics better)

Vijay with a worrid smile: "Tum kya karni wali ho?" (What are you going to do?)

Naina's diary

That huda was once again trying to flirt with me, telling me that his mummyji wanted to name him Neev Singh or something around that when an orderly came and told me that Brig. Chandok was calling me.

When I reached the office I was Rajveer coming out so I instantly thought he told BC about me being Naveen Bhaiya's sister. I walked toward the office a little scared, a little nervous. I asked permission to enter and entered the office. He asked me if I had already started pacing my bags, which made my anxiety sky rocket. He stated taking and blaming me. I tried to talk but he would let me, that he said the words that calmed my anxiety a little bit. He said "Mein ne tumhai grade nahi kia hai cadets Singh, tumahara teaachers ne tumma grade kia hai. Tum aab tak saara test mein fail hui ho. Don't you know your grades, what can Iexpect of you?"

This caught me totally of guard. I thought to myself "Yani Captain Rajveer nai mera aur Bhaiya ka baara mein kuch bhi nahi baatiya." I closed my eyes and said a silent thanks to god. I knew this was my chance. I had to impress Brig. to stay in the academy. I don't know how, but my guts told me that whatever was happening was Captain Rajveer's doing and for some unknown reason I felt all warm and fussy knowing that he cared for me, but I of course, didn't show it in my face. After some talk about keeping about keeping personal and professional life different and being strong I was dismiss.

We were all taking and joking around in the hall when Brig. and Suriji came and told us that we had to take responsibility for the independenceday celebration. When Brig. asked for someone to step up and volunteer to be a leader no one did, therefore I stepped up, knowing it was a big responsibility and I had a huge chance to fail. Not wanting to fail I immediately took lead and called a meeting in a couple of minutes. While going to the room for the meeting I ran into Capt. Rajveer. We had a little no-so-frendly chat. At that time I thought he was trying to show me down, challenge me and get me out of the academy, but later on I realized whatever he did was for my good and my benefits.

I reached the room and distributed the jobs.

For the next couple of hours I ran around the academy shouting out orders and giving my opinion.

Huda once again started flirting with me and told me he likes me, but I, once again blew him off. He stretched out his hand for friendship, and in the moment of celebration I locked my hand into his, not realizing that I had just taken the first step into a friendship that would last a life time.

The time for the Flag ceremony was here. I put the Cadets in their positions as the Teachers walked in. One by one the teacher and the faculties walked in and then Capt. Rajveer walked in. Seeing him in that uniform, did something to me. I got lost in him and his presence. My mind traveled back to the stories I had heard from Naveen Bhaiya, but all that was broken thanks to Maj. Nair.
