Journey of Abhilasha
"A LRL FF.
Prologue
A young girl walks down a hospital corridor with her black hair bouncing up and down in her long pony tail. He mouth, curved into a big smile, and her big dark brown eyes shining with happiness. She stopped in front of room number 128, and opened the door. As she walks in the shine in her eyes decrease and her smile becomes smaller. A nurse is doing something near the heart machine and is blocking the girl from seeing whoever is laying on the bed. The girl opens her mouth to speak.
The girl: Nurse
Nurse: Ara aap agaye. (You came)
The girl: Ab yeah kaise hai? (How is she now?)
Nurse: Wise hi hai jaise kal thi. Koi improvement nahi hai. (She is how she was yesterday. There is no improvement)
The girl: Aap log hamesha negative kui soch te hai. Kal se better nai ha, to kal se aur serious bhi to nahi ha na. (Why do you all always think negative? She is not better than yesterday, but she is also not worse)
Nurse: Asha tum se hum mei so koi nahi jeet sakta. Who tumara haat mein ka hai. (Asha, none of us can win over you. What is in your hand?") The nurse pointed at something that Asha was holding.
Asha: nothing much just something for her.
The nurse: ok, to ab mein chalti hoon. Who so nahi rahi hai to tum un se baat kar sakti ho (Ok than I will leave. She is not sleeping so you can talk to her) the nurse left the room. Asha can now clearly see the woman sleeping on the small bed. She was around her mid-forties. Her skin pale with much wrinkles, and many needles poking through her skin, connected to various machines. Her big brown eyes wide open, yet they were black with no emotions. Anyone who walked in could conclude that she was long dead, except the heart machine that beeped proving that she is alive. It was a torture to Asha to see the woman she loved and admired the most in this condition, but she knew she had to be strong. She walked to the bed and sat on the stool next to it. She ran her hand through the woman's hair.
Asha: Kashi ho. Acchi hi hogi na, din bhar soti rahiti ho. Anyways, agar acchi nai ho bhi, to yeah khabar sun kar bohot acchi ho jhogi. (How are you? You must be fine, as you are always sleeping. Anyways, if you are not fine, that after this news you will be very fine.) Asha talks out a piece of paper from the envelope she was holding.
Asha: Listen to this

By the time Asha finished reading the letter her face was glowing with happiness. She touched the woman's face.
Asha: aab hamari saari problems solve hoga. Aapki or papa ki khoi hui issat wapas aaigi, main wapas laungi. (Now all our problems will be solved. You and dad will get back your lost respect, I will give it back to you) Asha takes a deep, and tears fill her eyes.
Asha: 21 saal se mein yeah din ki intazar kar rahi thi. Hamasa soch thi thi ki kab aaiga who din jab mein who place jaa sakungi ja se yeah saari kahani suri hui, or aaj jab yeah din aaya to ek sapana lag raha hai. Aj se 24 saal pehala jo hua, woh aaj phir se ho raha hai. Aj phir ek ladki aapna aasli pechan chupakar KMA me admission la rahi hai. Phir ek ladki KMA mein kisi ki respect or honor wapas lana ja rahi rai. History is repeating itself, but is baar kuch different hai." (I have been waiting for this day for 21 days. I always used to think when I will be able to go to the place where this story started, and today when that day has come, it feels like a dream. What happened 24 years ago is happening again. Today, once again a girl is hiding her true identity to get an admission in KMA. A girl is, once again, going to KMA to prove someone's innocence and honor. History is repeating itself, but something is different this time.) The girl looks at the woman with warn eyes.
Asha: And that difference is that I have someone's support. Aap jab KMA mein pehli baar gaya tha To aapka saath koi nahi tha, kisi ko aap par yakeen nahi tha, aapka mom dad ko bhi nahi, phar main lucky hu ki aap meri saath hai, paas na sahi magar saath. Aapki support ka saath mein sab kuch kar sakti hoon, aap bas aapna haat meri sar par banai rakhna. (When you first went to KMA, you had no one by you, No one had faith in you, not even your own parents, but I am lucky to have you by me, even if you are far from me, you are with me. I can do anything with your support, just always keep your blessing with me.
Asha was about to say something else when a ward boy came in and told her that visiting hours were over. She half-heartily left the room and back out to the busy corridor. She left the building with a new ray of hope.
My note
A start of another story. Hope you liked it. I tried something different by writing in Hindi, but please forgive my mistakes as Hindi is not my first, or second, language. If you all think that I should not try Hindi than do tell me, plus I am not too sure about the title so if you have any suggestion than please leave it at the comment.
Lots of Love
Misha
