Recap: Vijay: "In logo ki chemistry bohohot aache hai, kyu?" (Their chemistry is really good, right?)

Ridhi: "Chemistry to aachi hai, magar inki physics aur biology mein aacha baaungi" (Chemistry is good, but I will make their biology and Physics better)

­­­­ It was august 15, the most looked forward day by the entire KMA cadets and faculty and Asha was going back and forth checking is everything is in order.

Asha: "Shaad Vijay khana ka kaya hua?" (Shaad Vijay what is happening with the food?)

Shaad: "Woh Asha lagbag sabkuch ban baya hai sibay..." (Everything is ready Asha, except...)

Before Shaad could continue Asha cut him off and her face turned red with anger

Asha: "Sibay.. Sibay kay Shaad? Ceremony bus kuch hi der main hai aur tum logo ne abhi tak khana bhi tayar naya kiya? Hum log kuch kami naye choor sakthi especially khana ki mamble me. Remember we need to impress our superior." (Except...Expect what Shaad? The ceremony is only a few moments away and you all haven't even prepared the food yet? There are no room for mistakes especially in the food department. Remember we need to impress our superior.) Both Shaad and Vijay's color drained out of their face as they had never seen Asha so angry.

Vijay: "Are Asha tu.. tu itni hyper kuyn ho rahi hai? Sab kuch ho raha hai." (Why are you getting so hyper? Everything is going wel.)

Asha: "Sab kuch thik nahi hai, Khana abhi tak tayar nahi hai or decoration bhi khatam nahii hua hai." (Everything is not fine, the food is not ready and the decoration is not completed yet.)

Just then Prerna and Abhi walked in the mess and seeing Asha's angry face and Shaad and Vijay looking scared, headed towards their direction.

Prerna: "Kya hua? Tum dono ki chere se rang kuyn gayab hai?" (What happened? Why is the color drained for the two your face?) Abhi smiled hearing Prerna's questions but got a death glare from Vijay and Shaad.

Shaad: "Aisa kuch naye hai Prerna. Woh Asha thore hyper ho rahi hai aaj ki celebration ko lay kar..." (It's nothing like that prerna. Asha is being a little hyper about the celebration...) before Shaad could finish talking Ridhhi ran into the mess.

Ridhi: "Asha mughe tumahare problem ka solution mil gaya." (Asha I have found the perfect solution to your problem."

Abhi: "Kaisa Problom?" (What problem?) Everyone looked at each other confused and Asha gave a murderious look towards Ridhi, who in return gave her a small, nervous smile.

Asha: "Nothing guys. Koi problem nahi hai. Ridhi bas thore shi confuse hai" (Nothing guys. There is no problem, Ridhi is just a little bit confused.) Ridhi just nodded her head.

Shaad: "Kuch toh hua hai tum bathou nai. Shaid hum tumahare help kar sake." (Something has happened, you can tell us maybe we can help you.)

Asha: Are kuch nahi hua hai. Bus aaj rath kay liya ek surprise hai." (Nothing has happened, it's just a surprise for tonight.)

Vijay: Surprise? Kaisa surprise, batao na." (Surprise? What is it, tell us.)

Ridhi: Arre budhu bata diya to surprise, surprise nahi raghaga. Waise Asha Lt. Priyanka tumahere dost hai na." (Dumbo, if we tell you it won't be a surprise anymore. Anyway Asha Lt. Priyanka is you friend right.)

Asha: Hum dono ek hi orphanage mai the to woh meri dost kum behen jaise Jaida hai. Magar kun puch rahi ho tum yeh." (We were both in the same orphanage, so she is more like a sister to me than friend. But why are you asking all this so suddenly.)

Ridhi: Kuinke hum unke madat le sakta hai. (Because we can ask for her her help.) Everybody looked at Ridhi confused.

Asha: Kaise? (How?)

Ridhi: Hum plan un ko batha sakte hai or woh ja ke B.C... Matlab Brig, Chauhan, se jake permission mang sakte hai." (We can tell her the plan and she can ask BC... I mean Brig. Chauhan's for permission.) Hearing Ridhi's idea, a huge grin broke out on Asha's face while everyone else looked at them confused.

Asha: "Ridhi you are a genius." Saying that Asha gave Ridhi a tight hug and ran out the door like a tornado.

Everyone looked at Asha run with a surprised face.

Shaad: "What was that about?" Everyone shrugged.

Abhi: "Yeh pagalo ki tara kaha bhag rahi hai." (Where is she running like a mad woman?)

It was time for the flag lining ceremony and all the cadets were standing in line.

Abhimanyu: "At ease Cadets. Ajj bohat khas din hai, Independence Day. Ajj hai us din ko celebrate karta jai jiske liya hamaha purkho na aapne jan de di. Ajj hum us jhanke ko salam karange ge jisko protect karne ki liya hum ne Indian anry join kara hai. Now I would like to ask Maj. Huda to come and do the honor." (At ease cadet. Today is a very special day, Independence day. Today is that day we celebrate the day for which our ancestors gave their life. Today we will salute the flag for which you joined the Indian army to protect. I will like to ask Maj. Huda to do the honors.

Huda stood up and made his way to the stage and pulled the flag,

Abhimanyu: "Salami mal." (Salute)

Everyone saluted to the flag, look of pride covering my face.

Huda: "Cadets I want to know what this flag means to you. Let's start with you Cadet. Bose"

Abhi: "Sir, yeh jhanda humara freedom hai. Yeh mahara desh ka pehchaan hai aur kisko protect karna mera spana." (Sir, This flag is our freedom. It is the identity of our country and I dream to protect it.

Prerna: "Sir Yeh hamara phurko ka khuab hai aur isko protect karna mera mera joonon." (Sir, this is our ancestor's dream and my Passion to protect it.)

Ridhi: "Sir Yeh jhanda mahara desh ka hi nahi balki is desh ki nagarak ka bhi pechaan hai. Iss ki hifaazat karna mera dharm or karam do no ki hai." (Sir this flag is not only identity of this country but also the citizens. It is my duty to protect it.)

Shaad: "Sir Yeh jhanda hamara shaan hai. Yeh jhanda hi mera sab kuch hai, mera parivaar, dost or pyaar. Agar main marunga toh sirf isiki ki liya." (Sir, this flag is out pride. It is my everything: My family, friend and my love. If I die it will only to protect it.)

Vijay: "Sir, Punjab main ek kahavaat hai: Jai javan di jai Kishan, or main manta hue ke ek saacha Hindustani ka pehala dharm hota hai, or main bhi yeh dharm nibiunga ga." (Sir, there is a saying in punjab: Hail the Soldier, Hail the Farmer, and I agree that all Indians first duty is to serve the country, and I will complete this duty.)

Asha: "Yehi hi hamari pehchaan, yehi hai hum. Iski bina hum kuch nayi hai. Iski liya hum jaan di bhi sakte hai or isi ki shaan ki liya hum jaan le bhi sakte hai. Isi ki liya hum jeeta hai or isi ka liya marna ka khawab diktha hai. Is se bada, is se upar or is se amem kuch naye hai, kuiki chai hamara pas zamin ho na ho, daulat ho na ho, parivaar, khana, dost ho na ho, yeh hamisha raghea. Hum sirf tab tak hai jab tak hamari aajadi hamari saath hai. Hum isi aajadi ka rakhwala hai, we are solders of this flag. Hum kisi seema ki raksha nayi karta, is triranga ki raksha karta hai." (This is our identity, this is us. We are nothing without this. We can die for this, and we can kill for this flag's pride. We live for this, and we dream to die protecting it. There is nothing bigger, higher, and important than this, because wither we have land or not, money or not, family, food, friend or not, this will always be with us. We are only here as long as we have our independent. We are the protector of this independence, we are the solder of this flag. We don't protect any border, but rather this flag.)

Asha's speech left everyone shocked, but only Shaad caught the petrified look of Huda and Abhimanyu.

Huda: "Great job cadets. I am happy that protecting this flag is all of your priorities. This country is lucky to have solders like you. Now before you leave Lt. Malik has an announcement."

Priyanka: "First of all I would like to wish all of KMA's cadets and faculty member a very happy independence day, or is din ko celebrate karna ki liya hum log sab ajj rat main hall main milke faculty vs. Cadets antakshaari khalange." (First of all I would like to wish all of KMA's cadets and faculty member a very happy independence day, and to celebrate this day, we will all gather in the main hall to celebrate, by playing Cadet vs. Faculty antakshaari.)

Everyone gathered at the main hall at 8 and suriji came prepared by bringing his dhol.

Suriji: "O priyanki ji, app ne bohat changa kiya yeh antakshari rakh kar. Puranani dil yaad a gaye." (Priyanka you did very well by organizing this antakshari. It reminds me of old day)

Priyanka: "App surkiya mera nahi, Asha ki ki jiye. Yeh idea mera nahi usi ka hai" (Don't thank me, thank Asha. This was her idea.) Surihi smiled hering this and put his hand on Asha's head.

Suriji: "bohat acha putar. Hamasha asi hi kam karta rehana. Tujhe dekhe kar mujha pata nahi kun a ajib si apna pan lagta hai." (Very good. Always do well. I don't know why, but I get a sence of familiarity seeing you.)

Vijay: Well kuinki aap log senior hai, aap suru karange. Aur app ka letter hai me'." (Well, because you all are seniors you will start and your letter is me'

All the seniors start thinking and Suriji smiles remembering a song and looking at Lolita ma'am

Suriji: Mere saam ne wali khirki me, ek chand ka thukra retha hai. Mere saam ne wali khirki me, ek chand ka thukra retha hai, aapsos yeh hai ki woh mujhse kuch ukhara ukhara retha hai.

Everyone started clapping and laughing and the cadets started thinking.

Abhi: Apne roothein, paraaye roothein Yaar roothe naa Khwaab tootein, waade tootein. Dil ye toote naa. Roothe to khuda bhi roothe Saath chhoote naa O Allah Narayan O main toh haariyan O tooti yaariyan mila de oye!

Shalini: Oye oye oye o owaa ...Ya yee ho...Tirchhi topiwale o ,O babu bhole bhale o Tirchhi topiwale o,O babu bhole bhale o Tu yaad aane laga hain Dil mera jaane laga hain Tu yaad aane laga hain Dil mera jaane laga hain O tirchhi nainowali o O bibi bholibhali o O tirchhi nainowali o O bibi bholibhali Tu yaad aane lagi hainJaan meri jaane lagi hain Tu yaad aane lagi hain Jaan meri jaane lagi hain.

All the cadets were stuck on what song to sing when suddenly Shaad started singing, surprising everybody, even himself.

Shaad: Hamko humise chura lo, Dil mein kahin tum chupa lo. Humko humise chura lo, Dil mein kahin tum chupa lo. Hum akele, kho na jaayen, Door tumse, ho na jaayen, Paas aao gale se laga lo

Priyanka, suriji and Shalini: Lo chali mein, aapne dewar ki bharat leki, lo chali mein. Na band baja na hi barathi, khuchion ki bhaarat leka lo chali main.

Ridhi: main tenu samjjhawa ki na tere bina lagda jee, Main tenu samjhawan ki Na tere bina lagda jee Tu ki jaane pyaar mera Main karoon intezar tera Tu dil tui-yon jaan meri jaan meri...jaan meri...

Raghu: Akhain khuli ho ya ho band, dewar unka hota hai, kaisa kahu main o rara yeh pyar kaisa hota hai. Aaj hi raro kisi pa marke dekkhang hum.

Priyanka: Pyaar kaisa hota, karke dekhang hum.

Priyanka & Raghu: Kisi ke yadoo main khoi hua khawbo ko hum ne saja liya. Kisi ki baho main soya hua, aapna use bana liya. A yara pyaar main koi na jagata na sota hai, kaisa batau o rara yeh pyaar kaise hota hai.

Everyone clapped while Priyanka and Raghu turned the color of tomato.

Prerna: "Sir ha' se bohat gana ho chuca hai. App koi aur letter de de jiya na please"

Abhimanyu: Theek hai app log ummm... e' se gayea. (Okay you can sing from e')

Vijay: "Bahay shocho shocho" (Think think)

Vijay: Ik teekhi teehki si uff karari si ladki Mere dil mein dil mein ek beejli jaise hai kadki Thodi behkte hui Thodi chehekti hui gumsum sahemti hui Kaise jal bechati hai pagli Ik teekha teekha sa ladkhadata sa ladka Mere dil dil mein ek shola jaisa bhadka.

Ridhi blushed as she knew this song was dedicated to her.

Vijay: "Lo sir ab app ka se gayanga" (Sir you sing from KA)

All the faculty started looking at each other lost for a sing. And the cadets started counting down.

Cadets: Tick tick 1, Tick tick 2, tick tick 3, tick tick 4, tick tick 5, tick tick 6, tick tick 7...

Abhimanyu: I Love You, Kaate Nahi Katate Ye Din Ye Raat, Kehni Thi Tumse Jo Dil Ki Baat, Lo Aaj Main Kehta Hoon I Love You, I Love You, I Love You, I Love You, I Love You, I Love You, I Love You, I Love You, I Love You.

Everyone started laughing at Abhimanyu and his choice of word while he blushed realizing what exactly he sang.

Raghu: "Dad, yeh gana kay mom ki liya tha?" (Dad, Was this song for mom?)

Abhimanyu blushed even harder if that was possible.

Huda: "Ha sir, agar Akriti yaha hoti toh bohat kush hoti, aap ko yea gata sun kar." (Yes sir, Akriti would be really happy hearing you sing.)

Raghu and Huda high fived much to Abhimanyu's embarrassment.

Abhimanyu: "Aap log suru ki jiya na u se." (You all start with u.)

Prerna: Tu hi toh jannat meri, Tu hi mera junoon Tu hi to mannat meri, Tu hi rooh ka sukoon Tu hi aakhion ki thandak, tu hi dil ki hai dastak Aur kuch na janu mein, bas itna hi jaanu Tujh mein rab dikhta hai Yaara mein kya karu

Lolita: "Hum ne aap ko ek chance diya aab aap aapki logo ki pali." (We gave you all a chance, so now it is your turn)

Asha: "Okay, aap log cha se gaya." (Okay sing from cha)

Raghu start singing and is joined by all the faculty.

Faculty: Chalni kar de seena mera, Chhi alni kar de seena mera, Chalni kar de seena mera, Daag saari goliyan ni ajj mera jee karda, Marjaneya ni aaj mera jee karda, Marjaneya ni mera jee karda, Marjaneya ni aaj mera jee karda

All the cadets are stuck on a song while tears start filling Asha's eyes, but only Shaad and Huda noticed it.

Asha: Dunia main kitni hai nafarate, fir bhi dilo main hai chahate. Mar bhi jaye pyaar wala, Mit bhi jaye, yaar wale, zinda reathe hai unke mohabbatein.

Late at night, Asha stood in front of her dad and uncle picture.

Asha: "Aaj bohat khas din hai na. Aap log yaha hote to kitna maza ata. Bohat miss karte hai aap dono ko main aur mama. Kaha hai app papa, zaldi se humare pas a jaaji ya na. Ma aap dono se bohat pyaar karti hai, bohat miss bhi karti, mana ki wo yeh aapne zuba se bol nahi pati. Kitna kuch sacrifice kiya ha mama ne aap ki liya, meri liye or abhi un ko aap ki zarorut hai, please app zalde se aajaiye na. I Love you papa." (Today is a very important day. It would be so much fun if you were here. Mom and I miss both of you a lot. Where are you dad, Please come to us quickly? Mom misses and loves you both so much, even though she can't say it herself. Mon has sacrificed so much for you, for me, and now she needs you, please you come quickly. I love you dad)

Tears fell out of Asha's eyes and she fell to her knees. Suddenly someone put a hand on Asha's shoulder and she jerked up looking at the person in front of her in shock.

Here is an extra-long chapter as an apology for the late update. Hope you all like it. Who do you all think that person is that caught Asha? Also next chapter is going to be a Rakshya Bandhan special so we will go to a flashback of Naina and Alekh and after that is going to be the chapter where you find out what happened to Naina and Rajveer and their backstory.

Rakhi Special

It has been exactly two year, three months, and fifteen days since I saw Cap. Rajveer and one year eleven months and fifteen day since I graduated from KMA and saw all my friends. Now as I stand in front of Ali and Pooja's apartment, I can't stop the memories from playing in front of my eyes, those memories I had safety locked in the back of my brain.

The door opens before I could knock and Pooja bounces out, a 1000 volts smile on her face.

Pooja: "Naina I am so happy to see you. Tujha patha bhi hai maina, humsab ne tuje kitna miss kiya. Bahar kuyn khadi hai aandar aa na, sab tera hi intazaar kar kaha hai" (Naina I am so happy to see you. You don't know how I, we all missed you. Why are you standing outside, come inside, everyone is waiting for you)

I smiled at my friends blabbering. I guess something never change and I was glad for it. It will be good to be surrounded by familiar faces again.

The inside was very beautifully decorated, with clean color wall and deep brown furniture to contrast it. On the far right side of the wall was a huge T.V and on the side of the T.V were books. On the other side of the wall was a modern black dining table with a small traditional dining chandelier. This place felt not like a house, but a home with a perfect mix or traditional and Modern furniture.

Huda, Ali and Alekh sat at the sofa staring at the cricket match on T.V. They didn't noticed me until Ali turned around to look for Pooja.

Ali: "Are Naina, aap kab aaye?" (O Naina, When did you get here?)

Hearing my name, Huda and Alekh turned around, and a huge smile plastered their face. I greeted all my friends and took a seat in-between Huda and Akekh while Pooja went to make everyone tea. Huda reached out to the table and pulled the remote and turned the TV off.

Alekh: "Aabe TV kyu band kiya, match chal raha tha? ("Why did you turn the TV off, the match was coming on?")

Huda: "Quidi, itni dino ki baad hum sab mill rahai hai, to phir TV kyu dekhana, gaaf saaf kharta hai" (Quidi, we all are meeting after so many days, so why should we watch TV, we will chit chat.")

Ali: "Hum pehli bar Huda Bhai se sheemat hai" (I agree with Huda for the first time.")
Huda: "Pehli baar kyu, Huda to hamasha sahi bolta hai." (Why for the first time, Huda is always right)
With that Huda, Alekh and Ali started arguing, while I sat there with memories in my mind and tears in my eyes. I felt bad for leaving my friends behind and totally isolating myself from everyone, but at the same time, I knew that it was for their best. I had become a big ball of depression who left nothing but tears in my path. I felt tears falling from my eyes, but I was too tired from everything to wipe them off.

Alekh: "Naina, tu roah kyu rahi hai" (Naina, why are you crying)

Me: "Alekh yeah toh khushi ki aasu hai, tum saab ki saath hona ki khushi. Waisa Yudi, Neelu aur hamara chotu, Sammy, kaha hai." (Alekh, there are tears of happiness, the happiness of being will all of you. By the way where are Yudi, Neelu and our little boy, Sammy?")

Alekh: "Woh Samrat aur Bani bohot roah rahi tha to Yudi aur Neelu who dono ko le kar bahar gaya hai. ("Samrat and Bani were crying a lot so Yudi and Neelu took them out")

Me: "Aaab to bohot bada ho gaya honga, hai na?" (They must have grown up a lot by now right?" Ali was about to answer when a voice from the door answered.

The voice: "Tum khud hi dekh lo ki kitna bada ho gaya hai" Everyone turned around to see Neelu and at the door. Yudi was holding the hand of a cute little 2 girl while Neelu was holding on to a little boy. My eyes once again filled up looking at the two children. Neelu walked towards me and embraced me in a hug, suprising me because Neelu was never the one to show emotions.

Neelu: "Hum ne tum main bohot miss kiya." ("We all miss you a lot)

Sammy walked up to Neelu and pulled on her shirt. Neelu looked down at Sammy and he asked in a cute voice.

Sammy: "Mamma aap roah kyu rahi ho aur yeah kyon hai?" (Mamma why are you crying and who is she?") Neelu went down in her knees and said to the boy.

Sammy: "Samrat yeah hai aapki Naina Bua" (Samrat this is your Naina aunt-Father's sister.)

Naina: "Aapne Bua se gala nahi lagogay? (Won't you give your aunt a hug?) Samrat looked towards his mom as if asking for permission and as soon as Neelu shook her head in positive, Sammy ran towards me and threw his little arms around my waist very tightly. I didn't see Pooja coming out of the kitchen, therefore I was surprised when Bani spoke up.

Bani: "Ammi kya yeah hamari bhi Bua hai." (Mom, is she also my aunt)

Pooja: Nahi Bani, yeah aapki Bua nahi balki aapki Maasi hai." (No, she is not your Bua' but your Maasi- Mother's sister)

Sammy finally let me go and I got down on his level and shuffled his hair. I heard Bani saying Maasi over and over, so I motioned for her to come towards me. She ran to me wrapped her arms around my neck, and as I sat there hugging the two of them I realized that I could never have my own child. My eyes went numb when this thought crossed my mind, but I swollen the lump in my throat and held back my tears. I let go of both the kids as both of them ran to dads.

The warm sun greeted us as we woke up. I got up to see Pooja coming out of the bathroom, and Neelu sitting in the couch with a magazine in hand.

Naina: "Tum logo ne mujhe jhagaya kyu nahi?" (Why didn't you wake me up?)

Pooja: "Srif ek hi bathroom hai na iss liya. Jaa jha kar fresh ho jha iss se pehla ki ladka jhaag jhaya." (We just have one bathroom that is why. Go and get frosh before the boys wake up.)
I nodded and hurried to the bathroom.

By eight o'clock everyone was up and we well all sitting around when the bell rang.

Ali: Mein dekh tha hoo" (I will see it)

Ali came back holding a parcel.

Pooja: "Yeah kya hai Ali" (What is that Ali)

Ali: "Rakhi"

Neelu: "Aaara hai mein toh bhool hi gayi, mejhe bhi bro koh Rakhi banni hai" (Oh yes, even I have to tie Rakhi to Bro)

Neelu rushed inside and came out holding a rakhi.

Ali: "Neelu, aap mujhe bhi yeah Rakhi band dhijhia." (Neelu you also tie these Rakhi on me.)

Neelu nooded her head and walked towards Yudi. Everyone stood up. A thought was troubling my mind and I didn't know how to ask it when Aalekh spoke up.

Alekh: "Naina, tu kuch bolna chati hai." (Naina, do you want to say something.)

Naina: "Actually baat yeah hai ki mai tujhe Rakhi band nah chati hoo" (I want to tie Rakhi on you.) "Bhaiya ko mein bohot miss karti hoo especially aaj ki din. Bhaiya ki jhagga koi nahi lay shakta magar hai yeah bhi sach hai ki mein jab bhi tera saath hoti hoo tab mujhe bhaiya ki kami bohot kaam hoti hai. Tu ne har woh farz aada kiya hai jo ek bhai ek behen ka liya karta hai. To kya...?" (I miss my brother a lot, especially today. No one can ever take brother's place but it is also true that whenever I am with you the pain of losing him becomes less. You have fulfilled every responsibility that a brother has. So can I...?)

That time was one of those once in in a life time moment when Alekh got emotional. He was not able to say anything, so her nodded his head in positive and I rushed to where my bag was and took out a Rakha. I walked up to Alekh and Neelu and I tied Rakhi on Yudi and Alekh at the same tie.

Alekh: "Naina tu ne aapun ko bhai kaha hai, aapun yeah khabi nahi bhulaga. Magar aapun who sorry hai. Tera liya kuch bhi tofa nahi hai. ("Naina you have called me a brother, I will never forget that. But I am sorry. I don't have any gift for you")

Naina: "Abhi nahi hai theek hai, magar baad mein lungi. (You don't have it now, its ok, but I will need it late.)

Precap: Back to the present where Asha tell all to Shaad and in a couple of more parts Bhargav's entry also the fresher's ball.

My note

Once again sorry from the bottom of my heart. When we started writing this story, we didn't realize that we would be so under pressure school work. We just started high school and the work is just... :(. BUT THAT IS NO EXCUSE. You all have been so amazing, and so supportive and very very very patient, and we feel bad for making you all wait, so we give YOU A CHOICE. According the REAL storyline this book still has a lot of plot felt, and this is just the beginning, but of course to get all that plot in you will have to wait for us to update and something we might update once a week or once in two week. The other OPITION is that if you want, only if you want, we can finish this book early and tie up all the loose ends in about 5-6 parts. The choice is your, are you guys willing to wait a week or two for JUST 1 update or do you want us to be done with it. I will assure you no matter what you choose the back story of Naina will stay the same.
