Sooo good to have you back and I tell you even you have no idea how much I missed this story.

Hey! this is almost like Book2. The flashback from Khushi perspective was heart wrenching. This is something I have come to expect from your work and for some reason unknown to me, I don't mind the pain you induce maybe coz you provide the balm to soothe that pain immediately. In this case I was terrified that Khushi wanted to walk away, hence she turned to kiss him one last time. BTW, my prediction was wrong. They didn't go all the way. Not that I wanted them to ...so soon. That would have complicated things further. YOU are a wonderful story teller Rachel.

This update is particularly difficult for me because I just lost a cousin to suicide two weeks ago ... a young cousin who was in her mid-twenties. It was one of the most shocking things to hear and definitely the most difficult thing to get over and I'm just her second cousin. It would have to take immense courage to poison your daughter who has a life time ahead of her and to kill themselves. If only Khushi's parents used that courage to brave the tide and face the problems?

But then, Khshi wouldn't have met her best friend, her life "her alpha and omega"- Arnav Singh Raizada. Buaji is a lovely human being and she is Khushi's badi-maa. It wouldn't be surprising if Khushi agrees to get married for her sake afterall Madhumati took care of that when could have been left to be raised in an orphanage. The pandits and to a certain extent Raizada's aren't going to make it easy for Arnav and Khsuhi to be together. Such is life where society and status play a rather central role to one's being.

He had hugged her from behind, facing her to the mirror, his own face widened with an air of pride at his work. "My own personal doll, a living talking doll!" And with that he had pulled her cheeks and kissed her sloppily, causing her to laugh with happiness. - my favourite scene that is going to be played out in the future with less slopiness? Niiiceee šŸ˜†

The beautiful kiss turned into a heart-rending hug. I'm glad Khushi herself held on and yes, yes, yes - she called him Arnav. Finally the love story begins against all odds and curve balls that are gonna be thrown at them.

Yes indeed Arnav, it is that easy for Khushi for slink awaywithout being noticed despite everyone hovering around there because for rich people the poor are invisible. This is one of the saddest facts of life. Only because it is Khushi you are realizing the truth of such gravity.

My eyes were smarting through out the reading and my second reading Rach but what's new about that. Welcome back tears! I almost missed you. and welcome back Rachel, I missed you, your readers missed you and we all missed The Trampled Butterfly šŸ¤—

Loved the update. Do you mind me asking a question? Do you think suicide is a solution when it seems like all other doors for a better life are closed? Kukku's life would have been different, but yeah, then she would never have met her annyav! I've told you before, but still i love this story. Continue soon :) :)

Glad you are back...i missed reading this.

So finally we got a little peak into Khushi's past life...poor little girl to be left all alone in this big bad world must have been tough.
Aww moment for me when Arnav also called her kukku the same as her parents...i can just see kukky giving the brightest smile on hearing that
comforting, loving name once again...

And their kiss...so wonderfully written by you and don't get me started on that hug **happy sighs** i tell you

I loved the fact that Arnav is always looking out, now for khushi and keeps checking on the fact if she is 'theek'...😃
But yes he does have lots of places to cover and hurdles to cross before something can happen...But i hope something happens quickly enough Dammit.

Lovely update and looking forward to read the next update..

Hi,

Glad you are back and so happy that we have a new update of TTB.

Beautiful update. What an emotional roller coaster it was.First the introduction of her parents, how the whole family attempted suicide and the fact that only Khushi survived was very painful to read. She was actually from a wealthy family and just see where fate brought her =( I can't even imagine Khushi's situation and her yearning for her previous life was just 😭

Arnav was the first one to call her kukku again and it was so cute that he made coconut tress for her. How beautiful it might have been to watch that scene. Two absolutely adorable kids. I can't even imagine Khushi's heartbreak when for the second time in life she was abandoned. It just broke my heat when she said she doesn't expect anything from anyone anymore.

They kissed and Khushi held on to him...even said thank you..is it a goodbye from her side. I am really scared. Will she keep her distance from him?

The last part just completely broke my heart. Arnav has an entire gang fussing over him and Khushi is all alone =(

Pls cont soon...

Welcome back!!!! Great chapter, I guess this was a wake up call for Arnav, add to how different their worlds are, and how much work is going to take to merge them together!!

I hope he has the courage and the patience to try!!#

Loved your update!!! šŸ‘

Khushi had to face such tragedy at such an young age... and it seems like her life has been nothing but tragedy. I sincerely hope no more tragedies in her future.
I also wish Arnav would come to a decision about his relationship with Lavanya & Khushi. Right now I feel he is being insensitive to Lavanya's feelings and indirectly also to Khushi's(ofcourse Khushi has no idea about Lavanya.)

Oh God, everything's so messed up!!!! šŸ˜”

Will look forward to your next update!!!
