Nisha! Loved the part 4! I liked how you switched gears and wrote the 4th part showing Arnav's thought process also. The first 3 parts predominantly from Khushi's point of view. At least you made Arnav acknowledge his feelings, despite the fact that he still thinks she cheated him, I am just glad that he accepts the fact that he has loved Khushi and Khushi alone. No one else. Eagerly awaiting to read the 5th part. Wonder what you have in store for us? 😊

Part 5

"Aunty, uncle, aap yahan," Arnav said.

"Yes beta, we came to see how you were doing but we heard what you said to Khushi," Arnav said.

"Umm...aunty what you heard. I...," arnav did not know what to day. What could he tell them that their daughter was money hungry, that she had an affair with a married man, that she had betrayed him, that he had married her for only 6 months.

"You don't need to say anything beta, we know everything," uncle said. "We held our tongue for so long because of Khushi but now I cant anymore," he continued. "What you did to Khushi was unforgivable, she told me everything," Garima said. "We respected you, we thought you loved our Khushi, we thought you would take care of our Khushi but what did you do, throw her out of your house in the middle of the night," aunty said.

"Khushi never betrayed you, she was never after your money," uncle said. He recited the whole story starting with the day Khushi had met Shyam.

"But I heard what Khushi said that day and I...I saw them together that day on the terrace'I saw them. The image is etched in my mind, I could never forget it."

"Things aren't always as they appear. What you say and heard that day on the terrace was the half-truth. Khushi did not hug Shyam. Shyam hugged Khushi. There is a difference beta," aunty said. Then she went on to tell him what had happened that fateful day.

"And the property papers...Khushi did not get your signatures on them because she wanted to take your money. She did it because of Shyam," uncle went on to tell him what had happened.

"You destroyed Khushi. You blackmailed her to marry you all based on your misconceptions. You made fun of her beliefs. Because of you she doesn't believe in her devi maiya anymore," Garima said. "How could you do this beta."

Arnav didn't know what to say. He was speechless. All the memories rushed back'.what he had done to Khushi. He had forced her to marry him. Oh my god. He could still remember her pleading face when he had pulled her out of his car and dragged her into the temple. At that time he had thought she was faking it, but now he knew. He had kicked her out of their room on their wedding night, made her sleep outside as if she was a dog. She had even told him in so many words that she loved him on Holi and later at the airport but he had ignored even that. He had ruined the one girl he had loved all because of a misunderstanding. Arnav's eyes got misty. He couldn't see through the haze. Yes, that is exactly what had happened. All these years he was seeing through a haze'he had been blind. Why didn't he ever ask her. Was it because at some level he knew he had wronged Khushi and he did not have enough courage to listen to her truth or was it because he did not want to heat more of her lies.

Oh god, what had he done.

"Why...why did you not tell me before aunty," arnav said.

"We wanted to beta. We even came to tell you the truth. You remember that day 3 years ago when we had come to your house. You had just sent Khushi the divorce papers and we wanted to save our daughter's marriage. So we had come to tell you the truth. But you said you did not want to hear anything about Khushi. You said you had had enough. And then you left without letting us say anything," aunty said. And then when we got home, Khushi found out that we had gone to see you so we could tell you the truth. And she made us promise that we wouldn't tell you anything.

Garima remembered that day clearly. Khushi had been trying to put on a brave face after getting the divorce papers but she could see through her daughter clearly. Khushi hadn't been the same since the day she had come back to us. So she and Shashi had decided to go to the Raizada house to tell arnav the truth. And when they got back, they had told Khushi they had gone to the Raizada's to talk to arnav but that he hadn't listened. Then Khushi had made them promise her that they would never try to tell him the truth again.

"Kya fayda hoga amma," Khushi had said. "What's the use. I tried telling him the truth many times and now you tried it too but he did not listen. Even if he listens to you and believes you, it doesn't matter anymore. Even if he realizes I was never wrong, I still will never be able to forget the pain he caused me. He did not believe me amma. He called me a wh**e. I cannot forget that. Either way, I don't want him anymore. He can live in his big mansion with all his anger. I don't care amma. He doesn't even deserve a minute of my time. He doesn't deserve to know the truth. Let him live his life with his lies," Khushi had said.

"That is why we did not tell you anything," aunty said.

And just like that his world shattered.

So thats part 5. Let me know if you liked it. I was really confused about how to move the story forward. I had 2 directions and did not know what to choose. Anyways, I liked this idea better.

And manaal I hope you like this part. You love a strong Khushi right...so I hope you are finally happy with this part...with the little revelation that Khushi kept the truth.

Do give me your feedback. I would love to know what you think. I hope the question you all seemed to have: why does arnav still not know the truth after 3 years, got answered in this part.

Oh about the length of the parts... I dont really like to write too much in one sitting. After about 1 microsoft word page, I cant really write much more. Thus the parts are short. Plus, I have to find a good stopping point for each part (usually a cliffhanger) and for some reason I always end up finding a good stopping point at about 1 page. Also I would rather it be short and interesting than long and boring. To make up for it, I do update atleast once a day, if not more. Other authors update once every few days/week and its really long and I update everyday thus its short. I can try to make it longer for you guys though. 😃
