IMP. NOTE: Well in this story I've attempted to write a little bit more romance than my previous story, but I'm not sure about how it's ended up. And if sounds all awkward and clumsy, then only I'm to blame. So I'm sorry and all suggestions would be welcome.😃
And secondly, I would like to dedicate this part to 'prahelika' as a Belated Birthday gift 😃 ...and also to "BlueBlossoms''...coz everytime she comments a new page opens up'hehe'thx a ton 3D!😆
Well I said that I would post only after all the posts are unressed...but I'm in a generous mood..and Ruchi di did unres...so here's the next part!😉
Happy reading!

PART III
"What if I don't do it?" Veer braved the question. "Oh! Then nothing, just that you'll bear the brunt." she replied calmly and shut the door.
Veer's face now bore a deep frown. He knew that today he was being taught a lesson, well literally, a 'DIY on household chores'. He repented on not having listened to his Mom who would ask him to help her, and 'learn how to keep the house clean when you are alone', she would say. He always managed to flunk his share of work and poor Dharam would have to do it. He grumbled while he cleaned the bed, knowing well enough that Anu was enjoying a long, refreshing bath. He could even hear her humming an old movie song. It would be some time before she came out, so he went to the living room.
He started clearing the mess that he and the 'others' had created in these 7 days, well mostly yesterday. And who were the 'others' and why yesterday? She needn't know that. He picked up all the empty cans and packets and headed towards the kitchen, wondering what could 'bear the brunt' mean?
Option1: Would she hit him with those empty tin cans? No, that was an overstatement. Anyway, though she was strong and capable of defending herself, the idea of her overpowering him physically seemed quite funny. Well, option2: Would she go away for another week? Nah! She loved this place as much as he did. Well, option3: Would she kick HIM out of the house? Then, even his mom and Dharam (both of who had, according to Veer, apparently disowned him after his marriage and thought of Anu as theirs, more than him) would not take him in, thinking their DIL or SIL (respectively) was always right. But Anu was not that cruel! She loved him after all. Finally he arrived to the conclusion that all she could do was ignoring him, which would be quite hurtful. Her silent treatment was the worst of all! He already knew it from his college experience. So her idea of 'bear the brunt' must have meant that. He chided himself for whiling away time, thinking. He chanted the mantra, "Guru, ho ja shuru" and set to work.
After 20 min., he proudly looked around the room. He had cleared the table, kept his shoes at the rack, dusted the couch and basically the room no longer looked like a dumping site. It was not very clean too, but it was 'habitable' yeah it was quite habitable he thought joyfully.
Anu stepped out of the bathroom in her robe and was surprised to see the bed clean and the marble flooring devoid of any t-shirts. Well that had been simple as he had kept his files and laptop on the table and his clothes were definitely stuffed in the wardrobe, she thought amusedly. 'But she had never asked him to fold the clothes and then keep them inside. So he was absolutely right.' She could totally imagine Veer giving such excuses. She grinned and decided to fold his clothes and keep them properly.
She was doing her work and humming her favorite song 'Baahon mein chale aayo'. Suddenly, she felt some one slipping the robe off her shoulder and gently kissing her nape. 'Damn! She had forgotten to change!' The passionate kisses on her collar bone were driving her crazy. "Veer" she moaned. "Hmm?" he said while rubbing his nose against her swan-like neck. "God you smell so good." He sighed pulling her closer and hugging her waist from behind. "Veer" she said this time a bit louder, "Not now" "Anu, how are you always successful in spoiling the moment?" He complained. She turned around with a smile on her face. "God, look at you, your face is full of grime" she snorted. "Don't touch me now" "Anu!" He whined but pulled back. "What are you doing by the way?" He asked leaning on one side of the wardrobe while Anu kept his clothes through the other side. "Putting everything right" "But I just did that" he said. "Yeah! Stuffing clothes in the wardrobe is just so right. Isn't it?" She asked tilting her head a bit and raising an eyebrow. He grinned sheepishly yet continued, "But why in a bathrobe?" he asked eyeing her up and down "that is way too short and..." he trailed off seeing Anu blush. She kept his clothes in the wardrobe and turned towards him, "and what?" He pulled her tightly against his chest and asked, "You sure wanna know?" She nodded slightly. "And makes you look so irresistible..." He turned her pushing her against the wardrobe. "And makes me..." He lowered his mouth towards hers. Anu whispered, "And makes you?" He stopped when their lips were just cm apart. He trailed a lazy finger down her cheek and smiled smugly when she trembled. "And makes me..." he continued in a husky tone, "makes me want to spend more on you, to buy you longer clothes." He burst out laughing while Anu glared at him. "Oh you look so cute when you are angry." he said pinching her cute red nose. Anu turned around in anger folding her arms to her chest, "I'm not talking to you." and also thinking of a plan to get back at him.
"Ok baba, I'm sorry. I was just kidding." He said holding her shoulders and turning her around. Anu smiled in return. "But seriously, why hadn't you changed? Not that I have a problem" he caressed her bare thigh, "But why?" Anu kept her hand on his and entwined her fingers with his to stop it from rising any further. She kept her other hand on his cheek, stroking it and said, "It was to seduce you t...'" "Me to'what?" Veer asked. Her touch and words were inciting him. Anu brought his face closer and nibbled on his ear. Veer closed his eyes. She whispered, "It was to seduce you to ...spend more money on me." This time she burst out laughing.
"Ha ha! Very funny!" Veer said sarcastically, "It was pretty lame, Anu." Anu smirked, "So was yours." "Actually, I know that," he confessed. Anu raised her brow and asked, "Really? So why did you do that?" "Because you told me to." Veer replied and added looking at her confused expression, "I'll explain. You were singing the song''Baahon mein chale aayo''" he sang mimicking her perfectly, "So I had to come. After all my love summoned me." He said with a flourish of his hand. Anu rolled her eyes at his drama. "But then," Veer said after a dramatic pause, "I was reminded of your punishment. So I just had to get back at you. Hope you didn't mind." He added the last part smugly. But Ananya had heard it alright. "You mister!" Anu said pointing a finger at him, "You ruined our house in just a week. Serves you right..." She continued ranting how he had damaged their house and desperately needed a lesson. But Veer turned a deaf ear to all that. He was more interested in how her wet hair framed her pretty face and how her nose turned red when she was angry. He couldn't help kiss the cute finger strictly pointed at him. Anu was shocked with his reaction and questioned, "Veer were you even listening?" "No," he confessed conceitedly and asked "You were saying something?" "Uff! Veer bhi na...Kya karun main iska?" Anu muttered to herself. Veer smiled and said romantically, "Jo bhi karna hai kar lo. I'm all yours." Anu shook her head and sighed inwardly thinking, 'Veer will never change'.
