You specifically said "the fan fictions" not "some" make you shudder (and now you clarified it's with disgust. And, yes I will focus on the literal written word in your post since you seem to be doing the same with the writers on this forum, be they a few or all. If you want people to understand you, and not offend those writers whose work you do enjoy then concentrate on what you write, and how you write it. Because, after all, isn't that what you and the rest who agree with you are in fact asking writers to do here? Yet you jump up to defend yourself when you feel you've not been understood because of your choice of words, or your unexplained intent?

Not so great when the shoe is on the other foot is it?
