As most of you preferred daily update, so here is the next part.

PART 3

"Let me check the details," Nandini said with a smile, "we don't want anything missing, do we?"

"Yes please do," Geet said, "I don't want anything going wrong with the surgery," while looking at Dev.

"May I ask how long is the surgery," Dev said while holding Geet's hand and looking at Nandini.

"It will take two hours," Nandini replied.

"Wow, two hours, it's a long time," Dev said, "If you want you can go to your office…."

Geet glared at him and he fell silent. "You want me to be away from you?"

"No baby, I just…."

"Dev?"

"I want you to be always near me. Never go away, I love you so much that sometimes even I am surprised about it. I have never felt this way about someone."

Geet cupped his face and said, "I love you too baby."

The nurse standing there coughed to bread them out of their reverie and smiled inwardly.

Dev was the one who spoke first, "Oh sorry."

"No problem, if there is anything else let me know. I have to prep you for the surgery." Nadini replied.

"Geet, will you be there when I come out," Dev asked.

"Yes baby, I will be here waiting for you."

"Sorry to interrupt you, but if you want, you can go to our cafeteria downstairs and wait there," Nandini said after hearing them talking.

"Thanks."

"No problem. Just take the elevator to the 3^rd floor; you will see it in front of you."

"I will be waiting for you. Okay. See you soon."

"Promise you won't leave me, and yours will be the first face I see after coming out."

"I promise. See you in two hours. Love you."

"Love you too baby."

Geet went downstairs towards the cafeteria. As she was about to enter, she gets a call.

"Hey Geet."

"Hi Meera."

"So Ma'am may I know how come the great Geet Handa took morning leave today, and did not even tell me."

"Sorry Meer, wo actually Dev has a surgery today. I will be back in the afternoon. Will you cover for me till then?"

"Ye bhi koi puchne ki baat hai. Of course I will. So tell me when are we going to meet Dev. It's been 4 months and still you are hiding him from us."

Geet laughed while listening to her friend, "Soon Meer, in fact I was thinking this weekend only. We all will go out for dinner."

"That sounds like a plan. Take care and let me know if you need anything."

"Sure, and if there is any problem in the office, call me."

"Okay Boss. Bye."

"Bye." Geet cut the call while smiling.

She entered the caf and went to order herself a cup of coffee.

"Hi. Can I get a cup of cappuchino?"

"Sure Ma'am. Anything else?"

"No, that will be all."

Just then one old man came there, stood beside her and said, "You know you should always have something along with coffee in the morning, otherwise you will upset your stomach," he said while keeping his hand on his stomach, "trust me, I have experience."

Geet chuckled at his words and said, "Thank you for the advice Mr…….?"

"Its Hari Juneja."

PART 4

"Hello Hari ji." Geet said while shaking his hand, "I am Geet Handa."

"Hello Geet. So tell me what brings you here?"Hari said while after collecting his and Geet collecting her coffee.

After they were seated, Geet replied, "My boyfriend has surgery today, came to accompany him."

"Oh. I hope the surgery goes fine."

"Hari ji, what about you?"

"Well, this is my place for the last 2 years."

"Last two years?"

"My wife is in the oncology wing. She is suffering from breast cancer for the past two years. She is in the last stage."

"Oh no, I am so sorry."

"Well, what can I say, now you understand why I said my home for last two years," he said while smiling a bit.

"I hope she gets well soon."

"Even I hope the same," he said sadly while looking down.

"I will take your leave now," she said while getting up.

"Sure Geet. Bye. Take care."

"You too."

She then makes her way towards the waiting room, where announcements were done regarding completion of surgeries.

She looked at the clock, it showed 8.30. She thought to herself, "The surgery must have started at 8, that means by ten o'clock, it will be over."

Announcement: Mr. Malhotra's surgery is over; you can now meet the patient.

People were sitting and going. She was still waiting looking at the clock, it showed 9.30.

Announcement: Mr. Mundra's surgery is over; you can now meet the patient.

The clock now showed the time 11 o'clock. Still there was no announcement regarding Dev.

Geet now gets up and goes towards the reception counter.

"Hi. My boyfriend Dev Kapoor is having surgery, I mean he had his surgery scheduled for 8 o'clock, he should by now have been out but still there is no announcement."

"Let me check Ma'am." The nurse checks the computer for the name, "I am sorry Ma'am, but there is no Dev Kapoor in the system."

"How can that be. Please check again. He is having orthopaedic surgery today; he is in room no. 401. Dr. Verma is his doctor."

"Dr. Verma is off duty today. There is no one by that name. Are you sure Ma'am that you brought him to this hospital, perhaps he is in another hospital?"

"No. We came here at 7.30 a.m. The surgery was supposed to start at 8 a.m. there was a nurse, she came in the room to prep him for surgery, and told us that it would take 2 hours for it to finish, and then I came to the caf, and have been waiting for him since then," she said it all in one breath.

"Are you sure Ma'am he didn't leave without you?" the nurse asked.

Geet got angry and told her, "Can you tell me where he is?"

"Would you like me to announce Ma'am?"

"Yes please."

Announcement: Mr. Dev Kapoor, please call the reception, there is someone waiting for you. If there is any nurse in his room, please call the reception area. Mr. Dev Kapoor.

Meanwhile Geet calls him on his mobile, he does not pick up and the call is now transferred to voicemail. She leaves a message, "Hey baby, hope you are fine. This nurse here is crazy. When I asked her about you, she said that there is no one in the system of your name. It's been hours. Where are you? Call me when you get this."

While saying this, she runs down the corridor going to the room where Dev was before.

She goes to the same reception area where she met Maan and asked the same nurse there, "Hi, I am here with Mr. Dev Kapoor, he is my boyfriend. I asked you to tell me where the orthopaedic wing is and then you directed me there. Can you please check in your system about him?"

"Yeah sure," the nurse checks the system and finds no one of his name. "Sorry Ma'am there is no one of his name."

"Can you please check again, may be you made a mistake."

The nurse got annoyed and said, "I don't make mistakes."
