Mount College
There were students swarming everywhere all in a rush to get to their introduction to the college in the main hall. Their head teacher waited to greet the first batch. Pia got there in one piece. She saw everyone dressed in trendy smart outfits while she felt a little overdressed. She saw her classmates getting into their own groups. They were getting to know each other. She felt like a lemon. Pia managed to get to the main hall. There were already clique's forming. The popular guys had an army of people surround them. There were the odd few goths that were isolated. How was Pia going to fit in with any of these people. She wasn't anything special.
Abhay entered in his unique fashion making lots of noise. In a silver Mercedes Benz. He took his raybands off while he walked towards the main hall. He pretty much knew where he was going. After all most colleges functioned in the same manner on the first day. He hated all the boring intro. It took the life out of fun. He scoped the room out just like the rest of his peers were checking him out. He had that effect on women mostly but nobody knew him in this little town. He was the newcomer to them so it was natural they'd want to see who this guy was. He was impressed with some of the girls at this college. He wouldn't be short on blood supply or for company. The guys weren't that special. Abhay smiled no real competition. This would be a walk in the park for him. Abhay straight away zoomed his gaze towards Pia, he recognized the girl from the previous night. The one that shook him up for the first time. He'd have to stay away from her. He didn't need anyone getting under his skin least of all her. Abhay wasn't scared of her but he didn't like what she did to him. Served him right he normally went for easy prey the ones that threw themselves at him. Mind U she looked cute. Very different from the other girls.
Kabir noticed a guy enter from his gang of friends. He was well built dressed in black. Tall. He could see there'd be trouble with this person in particular. He noticed girls were heading towards him like he were their new plaything. He wanted to head over there just to size up the competition. After all Kabir was used to having all the attention on him. He hated to admit it but even he was curious about this new student. Misha was also staring at this new guy and she wasn't the sort that checked guys out. She was after all a tomboy. His best friend. She looked at him with interest. Kabir was shocked. He had everyone in some kind of spell. Whatever it was Kabir knew it would affect his stakes in popularity. Kabir moved away from his group of friends just to take a closer look. His mates were doing the same.
The Principle welcomed all the students telling them about the usual things on rules and regulations. Nobody really took notice of any of those things. Abhay moved around with ease out of the hall without the principle noticing his leave but most of the students knew. Finally it was all over and it was time for everyone to pick up their schedules from the main office. The students lined up in a queue. Abhay went past everyone and jumped in line past several students. They didn't mention anything apart from Kabir who was fuming. Nobody had the right to do that. Who did he think he was?
Kabir didn't believe in anyone being superior than others or even people taking the easy way out by pushing others out of the way.
Kabir-What are U playing at?
The guy was silent. Glaring at him. Kabir wasn't scared. He would have to wait in line just like everyone else.
Kabir-I am asking U a question. Are U mute or just choosing not to answer me? Now get to the back of the line and play nice with everyone.
Still no answer. This getting on Kabirs nerves. This guy was being awkward. Kabir knew now for sure this guy is definitely trouble and he'd make sure the guy knew he meant business. It maybe the first day back but sometimes U had to make your mark and show who was the main man. The top dog. Kabir and his friends grabbed hold of Abhay trying to move him away but they struggled to move him. He wouldn't budge. Kabir was puzzled. There were 4 of his friends using force but he didn't move an inch. A crowd gathered trying to see the bust up. Abhay grinned boy were these guys like little kids. Trying to out bully him.
Abhay-Seriously guys if U really wanna touch me that badly to see how strong I am U should've just asked. I would've accepted your request.
This angered Kabir. This guy had the nerve to crack a joke in this situation. He had 5 people outnumbering him yet he wasn't unnerved by any of this.
Danish-Bro just let this creep get his slip and go.
Abhay-Listen to your bro he knows what he's on about. If U have any self respect for yourself. U seriously don't want to mess with me.
Kabir-Is that a threat?
Abhay-Take it as U want it. I am only advising U. trust me U don't want to see me when I'm mad. Abhay stood right in front of Kabir in a challenging stance.
Danish pulled Kabir to the side. Kabir resisted using his weight firmly on the ground pulling his arm away but failing as Danish pulled him with great force.
Ruhi-Please don't start anything guys it's the first day. As much as I like hot guys fighting I think this is putting all of us behind schedule. We don't want to stay behind any longer than we have to.
Misha-U guys are a bunch of baboons man. Always fighting. Seriously if it wasn't the first day I'd have egged U on for a fist fight but I'm in a party mood guys and if the head finds out then we'll all suffer the consequences.
Ruhi-Please just move to the back.
Abhay-Because U asked nicely I'll listen. That's all U had to do.

Danish-Kabir!
Abhay winked at Ruhi as he walked away to the back except he didn't line up. He took off. Pia couldn't believe this jerk created such a fuss. He'd ruined her mood. He probably made everyone suffer the wrath of the professors. Abhay on the other hand was smug. He had alienated half the college. Mission accomplished. At least most of them would keep out of his way. He noticed Pia looking really annoyed with him. That bugged him. He didn't know why. Abhay was observing from a far everyone's body language. How they all interacted. This gave him clues on how they presented themselves. The encounter with Kabir taught him a lot. The guy had a short fuse. Abhay smiled away thinking college wouldn't be so dull after all. He needed to bide his time and a rivalry was a great way to start the year.
Finally everyone got their timetable Abhay collected his last. All the students rushed to their first session while Abhay strolled in late. The girls in the lecture room all shifted their focus onto this stranger. The professor wasn't impressed but her features relaxed as he directly looked into her eyes. He introduced himself to her "Abhay Raichand."
Professor Dixit-Go take your seat. U are very late we have only just begun our core introduction to the first semester. The only seat available is over there.
Mrs Dixit couldn't tell what came over her. She had a soft spot for this Abhay Raichand. Even if he was rude giving no excuses she wanted to give him a chance.
Abhay looked directly at the girl sat down. She was a goth. Great. Abhay should've realized he'd get the reject seat. No big deal. So long as she didn't say anything he was fine. Abhay could still feel razor sharp eyes by most of the people. They seemed lost in thought. Kabir was amongst them. Stupid little boy had no idea who he was messing with. Abhay had an inkling the guy was most likely feeling threatened by a newcomer attracting so much attention from the females. Abhay say the same girl he save the other day sat at the back like she was trying to disappear from all the students. She sat quietly. Occasionally glancing at his direction. Abhay felt his lips twitch. She looked away.
Tanushree was impressed by this new guy. He had made an impression on her from the first time he arrived. He had Mrs Dixit putty in his hands. Last year many people got punished for arriving late but this guy got away. He didn't even have to give any excuses. She had first dibs on this Abhay. He was the only eye candy right now anyway. She applied a fresh coat of cherry pink lip gloss and flicked her hair to the side. She looked around and saw what others were looking at Abhay. He was on everyone's hit list. She had to make her move fast. A guy like that was never single for long.
Abhay could hear Ruhi chatting away about Abhay to some of her girlfriends. The girl was so irritating. Did she ever shut up? He doubted it. Most of her conversation was revolved around him in particular. Well at least someone wants him around.
Mrs Dixit-Class please can we focus on the key elements we need to cover for Science in Organic proteins. It's a complex part of the assignment we will be doing throughout the year.
Saved by the bell. It was time for recess. They went to the cafeteria for a drink. Abhay stayed clear. He didn't want anything obviously. He continued to study everyone's move. Same people in the same groups. Popular boys hung out with Kabir. Damn he missed his shot to join their crew. Not. The popular girls with their mini me's were together avoiding food. Typical. No wonder their blood tasted bland. The loners sat together with a chairs distance around them. The geeks sat together discussing all things intellectual. Well Abhay wasn't in a rush to join them in a hurry. Even though he was a closet geek.
Pia saw Abhay on his own. She thought he was a weird guy lapping up all the attention given to him. What an attention seeker? Pia disliked people like that. Her response was strange. She didn't even know this guy and already she had an instant dislike for him. Pia got herself a hot chocolate and walked passed the vending machine. Her eyes were seeking out Abhay. The drink cooled and she took a sip. Pia was on her way out when T crashed right in front of her. Pia spilt her drink all over T's new top while some of it when down her designer trousers. Pia was too busy apologizing to T.
