Interesting! I've been to Venice...a beautiful place...agreed! The update..that did seem like diary entry...was very well executed in words (i could sense the terror and fears and confusions in some of those lines) ...and very simply..i liked the last bit..where her search ended..

hmm a diary entry..may be thats more appropriate..i have been struggling to find a proper word for this, certainly not a one shot...i've been calling this a moment out of someone's day...and it leaves a lot for the readers imagination to tie the loose ends..but its there..and i'm happy to know that you could sense the fear and confusion...

A very nice read Aria.. the confusion....search... realization...awesome! enjoyed reading it!

Aruuu.. I hope I can call u that. This was absolutely beautiful, I loved the opening lines. Those lines set the mood for the progress of the whole story. I have no idea how you do it, but the pain and anxiety is so well depicted, that one can't help but get drawn in to the story willingly or unwillingly. I read this on sat, I wanted to write on it then, but something held me back. I think coz this entry or moment seems like a day out of my book, well at least of my current status. lol. The anxiety and getting so immersed within yourself and thoughts, that you completely ignore the surroundings..Search; a search for yourself, within yourself, or a search for the need of a certain someone in your life. There are so many interpretations of this enrty, and I absolutely loved that about it. One can envisage it any way they want; the feel of it depends on that individual. It is simply absorbing..

Can I say the dream and language analogy; absolutely brilliant. That was an ace of spades within the story. Does it really matter whether our search ends in finding the destination or not, as long as we keep trying..

Btw, my comment might not make an ounce of sense to you, as its just me talking gibberish. But its just something I felt, might be totally opposite from your interpretation..then again I do tend to over analyse things..can't help it, been programmed that way. Hehe..

two things: away from the maddening crowd reminded me of the obvious ernest hemingway, only slight change eh? have you read his works?

what language you dream in... i smiled so wide, and believe me *surprised mate* :P thats a task at this moment i haven't slept a wink in the past 41 hours... don't even ask whats keeping me up, (other than coffee of course) but i cant crash for another 7 hours i think... sigh... maybe 8...

anyways... so it made me smile, cause! i tell people all the time that my engin undergrad was alot more of everything except engin, beyond what was mandatory... one of the tasks was evening extra language classes.. my french teacher in the first year told me something i could never forget... u can learn a range of languages and even become adept with time, more importantly exercising the skill... but there is always, only one language u own... even if there are others where you may possible even excel beyond this one... its the language you think in... it uncanny how her statement returns to me in odd moments ever since, when i catch myself thinking in a language that isn't usual... i wonder if that changes her rule... but technically i believe, she was right :)

great piece, i enjoy reading the random freshness in these shots/parts/... whatever u name them!
