See, here's my new mantra for those that wish to read adult content on I-F:

Once they start showing *** and po*n on TV (Desi channels of course), come to us and we'll see about having it on I-F.

I wanna know, how people can honestly read that stuff? I've read adult novels, and some amazing writers have better ways of displaying it, we're talking about bestsellers vs amateur fics on here, so I shouldn't compare, but really, if they can avoid po*n, why can't we?

@modz... personally there have been times ive heard or read stuff which looks outrageous and merely ignored it, in the sense of never getting back to the writer or their fics... but i understand your dilemma, on my part shall try to be more prompt about real action...thank you.

much as realize the how delicate this comment becomes to be spoken, the younger readers/writers on FF do seem to lose track of rules...our generation's definitely the most outrageous 😆 as if po*n sites weren't enough...I wanna know WHY, that's all that bothers, me, why do people wanna read "hot" parts...don't we learn enough in school?! Is I-F about *** lessons now? plus, another writer on this forum Sookie, informed me that the rules n regs of IF permit members 16 and above... should people younger even be allowed? really? there've been mods that are younger... i know its impossible to bar the ages all the time, but i bet theres plenty of them out here without hidden facts of their ages, younger than 16... ?? there are...but even then, it's advertised as a family forum, so why allow po*n at all?

ps: that was a well raised point kanu :)

@NJ- this forum is equally as much of readers as writers , so they shud share the responsibility as well.
thanks for the appreciation :)

If ppl are so interested in reading *** and p*** why dont they simply jump onto the ones which provide thhat and leave this forum in peace.

@madz - i agree with you , not only the best sellers, we have writers right here on our forum who writes abt intimacy in much sensible way and give it a look of pure emotion rather than a description provided in p***

I have another question for Mod team .

Does putting up a statement " This includes adult content. and reader's discretion is advised " does that give the right to put up anything under the name of adult content ?
when we know the readers might be under 16 who dont have the sense to differentiate between good and bad , can the responsibility of discretion be left on them ?

^ The answer to that is a definite no. Just giving a warning doesn't make it okay to break rules that apply to the entire site.
There is a little bit of a gray area though, and that's where the warnings might be useful. Graphic or vulgar descriptions are definitely not permitted as you all know, but there is nothing wrong with mature themes and topics (examples: extramarital affairs, rape, etc). However, some readers may even be uncomfortable with these themes, so it might be a good idea for writers to warn readers about them early on, perhaps on the first page of the thread.
I hope that makes sense. Let me know if it's unclear.

Hello moderators....
Well...To be very honest...I just support all the decisions taken by you guys...The If has chosen you as the mods. not without a reason...Isn't it?
I appreciate some of your work to close down some topics i detested...I wanted to press the like button against ur post but i thought It might offend the writer....=(...
But a nice topic and I am forever and always with you!
If needs to control the level of po*n and vulgarity and this is a right step taken by you guys....:D

A loyal supporter of mods...
Cheers

I wonder what triggered this thread Madz. *preens*

Well, by the looks of it, you guys are doing awesome! :) Let's hope other mods open this in other places as well. :) And take criticism in the same manner you guys are! Awesome stuff! I'd throw in my 2 cents about adult content (I like giving my opinion about everything 😛) but I'm not really active here, so no idea how far it's gone. :)

well...i guess the moderators are doing a fab job

my only question is that i have a 40% warning level....and i don't know how???....i mean i know why it was 20% ...it was when i posted a bashing post ...but why 40% now...
i think the moderators should atleast pm us before raising the warning level.....so that we atleast know whats our fault
