People fall in love all the time. May be temporarily, may be at the wrong time, and may be too late or just maybe, forever. && the "forever "is exactly what happened to them .........
Sometimes In A Lifetime
They were both building a castle of beautiful future with each other as walked hand in hand along the beach....
"Don't get too happy Mr. Mayank Sharma just because my parents said "Yes" doesn't mean you have it all, I haven't said anything yet"
[After a 4 long months worth of the constant debates of ' "she's too young-s" and "she needs to study 's" Nupur's parents agreed to accept Mayank as their son in law. They got the permission to tie the knot as soon as they finish their degree- if they wish to. ]
"Koi Bhau khana toh tumsey sikheyy Nupur" ' he teased
"Woh toh hai" 'she pouted as he took her him into his arms. She decided to push it a little more and said as she pretended to struggle "mayankk... mujhe chodo... Abhi nahin... Shaadi ke baad" ' and both of them burst into a harmonic laughter ' a stranger would mistake it to be practised.
Mayank: "Shaadi ke baad?? Ok atleast I know now, you are dying to marry me" ' he played along.
Nupur: Arreyyy!! Main ne aaisa kab kaha "I am dying to get married to you"
Mayank: But I am.
He might be joking. He might not have been joking. But whatever it was gave Nupur an incredible feeling that words failed to describe.....
Before she knew , he let go of her hand - holding it again after a second , but this time he was on his knees and the voice she loved to most said to her ' " I haven't really got a ring Nupur , but will you marry me still ? "
He didn't have to ask her. He knew he didn't have to ask her. He knew the answer already.
But he'd heard it was every girl's dream and he wanted to give Nupur every happy she's dreamt of He had planned of doing this properly, with a ring in his hand, music in the background. But this seemed like the perfect moment ... it was the perfect moment.
Nupur was lost for words.
She'd always wanted to someone to stay up all night with whom she could talk about nothing and everything, all at once ...Talk about dreams, make dreams come true.. Someone to get lost in unknown cities together... Have fights, the kind that only matters when you're having them. A guy who would bring her flowers once in a while or a pebble ' because it made him think "this will make her smile" as he smiles to himself. A guy who would love her, who wanted her, may be needed her a little , enough to hold on to her with everything he's got ' for today , for tomorrow , forever.
And there he was kneeling at her feet, with a imaginary ring in his hand. Someone who had all the things she'd ever wanted in a guy and more.....
She wanted to say a thousand things but for some reason ' her lips came up with "Why do you want to marry me anyway?" - may be secretly she wanted to hear it from his mouth, to treasure this moment into her memories forever..
He'd thought about to himself before, the simple answer was because he was in love with her and not only for what she was but only for what he was when he was with her.
He got up still holding her hands , he looked deep into her eyes - " because I want to share my love with you, I want to share my happiness , I want to share my strength with you, my smiles , my frowns, my joy , my loss , my good days , my bad days , the rain ,the sunshine, every morning coffee ' I want to share my life with you. " ' he kissed her hands, then her forehead. Without saying anything else Nupur pressed her lips against his .....................
She'd dreamed of this moment since the day she laid his eyes on him for the first time... Now it was here and she was for once she wasn't dreaming...
Time flies
"tumari shaadi fixed ho ra hi hai aur tum mujhe aab bata rahey ho ?? tum bhi na Mayank" ' Neha, his twin sister sulked , turning her face away and sang "bhaii bhaiii na rahaaaaaa'.."
"Ab bata raha hoon na.. Ok, tell me what do you want, I'll make it up to you" ' Mayank pleaded.
"Hmmm Idea" ' she jumped.
"Nooooooooooooo. Neha. Tats ridiculous"
"Nahin Mayank bahautt maaza aayagaaa pleaseeeee ."
"Nahin...Neha. Full stop. No "
" ok then.. you can't even do that much for your sister " ' she was embracing the make-them-feel-guilty technique. It always worked. Especially with her ever-so-emotional brother.
" u girls alwaysss emotional blackmail' accha baba thik haii' Par maa ko Puch na paregaa.."
" straight away" ' Mayank followed her as she ran to her mother's room.
His mom was by the wall where all the photographs from their childhood hanged. There was one of Mayank with his long hair , one where he was in the water ' crying , one with him and Neha both dressed as girls, there was one where both their parents holding them one each. The three of them stared at the pictures blankly.
"Maa "- Mayank put his hand on her shoulders. Startled, she wiped her tears but not fast enough for them not to notice.
"Tum roh rahi thi Maa" ' he asked with a sad heart.
"Nahin pagle, yeh toh khushi key aasu hai" ' she replied , stroking his face.
It seemed like just a few years ago that Mayank and Neha were born, just a few months ago that she got divorced from her husband, just a few days ago that the kids were still kids...
And here she was today, both her children grown up, one already engaged, one about to get engaged ' She hoped Mayank would still stay with her after he got married , traditions demanded it but in this privacy obsessed world , she wasn't sure.
He must have read her mind ' because during the course of the conversation, he hinted many times that he'd still be with her , in this house , forever. She was glad about that and about Neha's idea for her and Mayank to get married on the same day. Mayank obviously was against it. Neha's argument went something like " a) we are twins, so it makes sense us to marry on the same day b) it was save Maa a lot of work , she don't have to arrange a marriage twice c) it will save a lot of money d) the venue might not be available when he wanted to marry e) it has always been my dream f) '. " ' She was already up to - k)th reason - when Mayank joint his hand in front of her and gave up " okk merii maaaa .. jo maan mey aaye karo ..par Nupur sey baat tum karo"
First came the official talks between the parents, followed by their engagement.
Everything was happening so quick it was hard for them to differentiate between dreams and reality ' the only difference being, their reality was, for once better then the dreams.

What a Wonderful world
"Di , tumey dar nahin lagraha? " ' Gunjan asked as they both got ready on the day of their engagement.
"Darr?? aaj toh nahin lag raha par shaadi key din zaruurr lagey ga " ' they both giggled.
After a few minutes long sisterly "I'll miss you a lot"-s and silent crys , they were both finally ready for the big day. Nupur wore a blue lehenga while Gunjan wore pink. Both looking breath-taking.
"Are you nervous " ' Gunjan asked as they descended the stairs. Nupur thinks to herself ' Am I nervous. Mayank's searching eyes meet her own and she answered ' "No, I'm just happy"
They had planned to make the engagement pretty personal by inviting only families and close friends. But the wedding, which was planned in Nupur's house in Morena ' had a guestlist planned of about 500 people ' a figure which made Mayank slightly nauseous.
As all members of the concerned arrived ' Nupur and Mayank exchanged rings. Another picture perfect moment. Click ' went the camera, capturing both their eyes and their lips smiling.
Mayank felt like a man with the same old heart but with a brand new beat ..
As they posed for the millionth picture of the day ' Samrat brought to everybody's attention ' "if the government starts charging tax for taking pictures my friends, we'd be the highest tax payers" ' another round of laughs.
Soon, the elders left and they headed their way to dance. The dance floor was illuminated by candles and flashlights. So dark yet so bright
Nupur danced with Samrat, both of them making up steps as they went along. Mayank and Gunjan were dancing next to her. Happy. Laughing. Then she danced with Mayank. Slow songs and fast songs. Mayank twirled and swayed Nupur in his arms .His favorite one was when they danced to the tune "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton.
And I say yes' I feel wonderful tonight
I feel wonderful because I see the love light in your eyes
And the wonder of it all is that you just don't realize ' how much I love you
'. Oh my darling, you look wonderful tonight.
During the slow songs like this one, more of the unsaid things were understood. You are so beautiful. I love you. Let's make this last forever.
At the next song switch, Nupur moved away from the crowd ' she wants to see it ' the happy people ' and she wants to remember this for exactly what it was. She is suddenly amazed by the love she feels for so many people. Gunjan her beautiful sister. Samrat, the one who makes her sister smile. Dodo, her funny little one, Dia her gorgeous cousin, Neha ' his sister in law to be , and all her everlasting friends who's come down from Morena just for the occasion.
Then, she sees Mayank walking towards her, care in his eyes, a blessed smile on his lips.
And she thought to herself 'what a wonderful world.

The Wait
They say the time between their engagement and marriage are the longest and the hardest days' The wait, the desire, the thrill ' it was driving them both mad by the day.
As they prepared for their graduation, the rest of the family was busy with the wedding preparations. With their final exams were approaching, they were banned from see each other during the study leave ' Mayank's Mom had threatened to withdraw their marriage if Mayank didn't beat all his previous academic records . So they both didn't have a choice but study.
A few times, Mayank would sneak into Nupur's place making excuses to her parents. "Oh I left my notes here" ' "I was just passing by" and the worst of all "I was missing Uday, so just thought would come and pay him a visit ". Few times her parents would let him in; sometimes they would turn him away from the door. Just for the fun of it.

Hello -Goodbye??
The wedding day. The biggest day in any girl's life.
Nupur looked around the house she'd grown up in, the heavy decorations failing to mistake it for something foreign. Every wall, every corner, every smell in this house was a part of her. She looks at the remote control ' the one she'd fought with Nupur to get as a kid. The kitchen where she'd burnt her first curry. The curtains, her father's books, her mother's sarees.
She looks around her room, the table where she studied, the cupboard with medals and certificates ' mostly Gunjan's. She looked at her clothes, her DVD collection. The big Shahrukh Khan poster on the wall ' the tiny Ranbir Kapoor picture stuck next to it. She was going to have to leave it all. The house she'd grew up in.
Soon, she'd have to move into a different room. Put her clothes into different place.
Would Mayank let her put a Shahrukh Khan poster on the wall?
She went through so much of mixed emotions; she couldn't tell which feeling was dominant. The sad part of her for having to leave her parent's house or the indescribably beautiful feeling of moving in with the man she loves.
She knew what she would miss the most. Her sister. Her delicate sister. What would she do without her? How would it feel not seeing her everyday of her life anymore? She was glad she had Samrat by her side; otherwise she would never have been able to get married before getting her little sister settled first.
She looked at the Mehendi in her hands, the little 'M' the girls had prescribed clearly visible. This reminded her to go get ready. There were many a girls to help her today. As they put jewelry on her and cracked inside jokes, Nupur's heart started to beat out of time. In all this mess she had almost forgotten, this was her nuptial night. She felt weird. How would she face her parents again after today? Now, that they'd assume or rather know that she is not a virgin anymore.
Mayank's sister, Neha, was getting married on the same day at the same Mandap. The parents didn't have any objections, seeing that they were twins ' it kinda of did make sense to them. This made her a little less nervous. If she made a fool out of herself , may be nobody would notice because the attention would be diverted.
3 hours into getting ready, somebody screamed "bahraat aagayiiiiii " ' the groom's side have arrived. Soon, they were seated in the brightly decorated Mandap. Another 2 long hours of prayers. They went round the fire, making vows to love each other till the end , to be with each other forever .. Mayank put vermillion on her head with care, they exchanged garlands '.
After a full 4 hour long ceremony, they were officially married. Mr & Mrs. Sharma.
Nupur tried to say her new name in her head ' Nupur Sharma and somehow the last name complimented her name. Or at least she felt so.
Then, came the hardest part. The goodbye.
Mayank patiently waited and watched. As Nupur cried and hugged her family and friends. He realized how hard it must be for her when his own sister was doing the crying on his shoulders.
Soon, they were on the car to his house. He was nervous and so was she. He knew it because for the first time in a long time , she was quite. Silent , in fact.
-----------------
Boys Will be Boys
"Jaaa Mere sher, Go in and Century maaar "- Samrat patted Mayank's shoulders' pushing him straight into the room.
The sound alerted Nupur who was sitting on her large flower-decorated bed and she quickly covered her face with the veil. Traditions.
-------Magic ? ( 13 PG ) lol 😆
The traditions were done and the rituals were over
After moments of awkward silence, Mayank finally spoke as the raised her veil. They'd seen this scene in movies a million times, probably fantasized about it ever since they hit puberty. But right now, it was here and they were both lost for words.
Mayank took Nupur's trembling hands and asked - "Are you happy?", "Happier than I've ever been in my life" - She said looking deep into his eyes. He leaned over and kissed her eyes.
With a racing heart and shaking hands, he helped her undress. He sees her dress fall to the floor; he explored every inch of her body, first by his fingers then his lips. No matter what angle he looked at her from, she looked perfect.
He held his breath as he touched her, from her feet across her knees , he kissed her neck and moved down her spine .
Immediately he felt like she was tattooed on his skin... He didn't know where she ends and where he began He'd never felt this close to anybody before and he didn't know it was possible for him to love her anymore then he already did. But with every passing second his love increased. Every inch of her body that touched his was a promise.
Now he knew, why people say "Love ... is the closest thing to magic " and they were right. This could be nothing else but Magic.
Everything was perfect - her hair on his face, the magic in her gaze, the smell of her skin, the taste of her kiss .
As their bodies intertwined, he pushed himself deep inside her soul ...
&&& Time stood still:
As he made love to her, with a smile on his face
In the starless night , that was lit by her grace......
