How she prayed that someone would come to their help...if only she could take away all the pain that he was going through....for she knew that she would be lost without him.....he would not know how to live....

But raj's confession about his love gave her the strength to survive...how could he let her love down...break the promise that she had just maid to him....as you have rightly said that 'it would be like insulting him'

i just wish that there would have been a happier ending...but as you say.....SMALL STORIES GO A LONG WAY.
