Part 17
Rajveer was on the top of the world as everything was going as he wanted. His dad had agreed with the alliance and now Navin also was alright with it. Now all that needed was to convince Naina's parents which he thought won't be a big thing. He thought that the brother in law was quite easy to please then her parents would certainly be easy going people. After the shopping mall incident Naina was taken home by Navin and Rajveer wasn't able to talk to her since and now it was the middle of the night and he couldn't rest until he met her. He tried her phone but it kept coming switched off. Now he really had to meet her so he decided he would just go to her house.
Ahluwalia residence
Here Naina also lay in her bed wide awake thinking about Rajveer. She remembered everything from the beginning of how she had met him on the tour and he had been a stranger and then how she kept meeting him constantly as if it was destiny and soon she fell in love with him. Then she remembered the horrible stage of their relationship of how one small misunderstanding created such a big chaos and made both of their lives hell. Then she remembered how he made everything well again and finally they were together now. This is how she wanted to be always and she promised herself that she won't let anything crash their relation now. She would make sure she held onto Rajveer like super glue if she had to but she won't let him loose from her.
She got up and stood by the window and then looked out and got a fright.
Naina: Aaaaaaah! (held onto her heart and then intook breath) Rajveer tum! Yaha kya karahe ho? (she was shocked to see him sitting on the tree out of her room as if he was sitting on a comfortable sofa or something)
Rajveer: Computer claases ke liye aaya hu (made a face) Are tumse milne aaya hu

Naina: Raj please…dekho jo kehna hai wo mujhe kal keh dena lekin abhi please yahase jao (she was nervous as she could hear some shuffling noises out of her room)
Rajveer: Maine kaha na me jo kehne aaya hu wo keh bina nahi jaaunga (made a cute child like face)
Naina: (gave up seeing the face) theek hai jaldi batao kya kehna hai
Rajveer: Me yeh kehne aaya tha ke…tum aaj subhe aise hee kese chaleegayee? You didn't even call me once
Naina: yehi baat karne aaye the tum is waqt?
Rajveer: Lagta hai ab tumhe meree koi parwa hee nahi. (he sulked and kept acting like a kid who just lost his candy)
Naina: (laughed) tum bhi na Raj, koi bacche se kam nahi…Okays I'm sorry (held her ears) wo kya huwa ke jab me ghar aayee to mere phone kee battery khatam hogayee or oske baad me bhool gayee or…
Rajveer: Tumhaaree wajese me abhi tak chain se nahi betha hu or tum ho ke bhool hee gayee. Sach me tumhe ab meree koi parwa hee nahi
Naina: (leaned outside and was able to touch him and pulled both his cheeks just like of a chubby kid) Oh my poor baby, bohat naraaz ho kya?
Rajveer: (wrapped his arms around her neck) Wo to bus tumhe itne kareeb lane ke liye kiya tha. Ab koi problem nahi
Naina: Ek number ke deewaane ho tum jaante ho?
Rajveer: bachpan se! (he laughed and began getting closer to her to get a kiss when she heard her mother's voice)
Mira: Naina!
That alarmed both and Naina came inside quickly but Rajveer lost his balance and slipped off the branch and crashed down into the bush making a noise. She bit her lip and winced as she saw it must have hurt him a lot.
Mira: Kya huwa Naina, yeh awaaz kesee thee? (she was in her room now and heard the crashing noise in the bushes)
Naina: (turned towards her mother nervously and tried hiding the window so she wouldn't come and check) k…k..kuch nahi ma wo bus ek…ek kaala kawwa agaya tha ose bagha rahee thee
Mira: Kawwa? Raat ko?
Naina: Wahi to ma, me bhi wahi soch rahee thee ke wo yaha kese agaya isilye ose bhagha rahee thee. Lagta hai wo neeche gir gaya
Mira: (found the story strange but agreed to it anyhow) Theek hai tu khirkee seedhee tarhase band karde or soja itnee raat hogayee hai
Naina: Ji ma. (she waited for her to leave and then quickly looked down to find Rajveer) Raj…Raj! Tum theek to ho na?
Rajveer: (emerged from out from the bush with leaves stuck all over him) Ha me theek hu. Are Naina jo baat me kehne aaya tha wo keh hee nahi paaya.
Naina: Wo jo bhi hai kal kehna, please Raj is waqt tum jao warna ma phirse aajehgee or phir…
Rajveer: Naina ab hame koi alag nahi karsakta (he blew her a kiss and she smiled back at him for being so sweet)
Next morning
This morning both Rajveer and Naina felt as if they were reborn. Everything around them felt as if it was new and they were seeing it for the first time. They saw magic in the air and it was a new beginning.
As he woke up he felt like dancing and singing and as he did that he thought about Naina.
Rajveer: aatee hai wo aise chalke, jese jannat me rehtee hai

Similar scenario was happening with Naina in her room where she also was dancing and singing around thinking about Rajveer.

Rajveer had a quick shower and once he was out he remained in a towel and began remembering all the incidents he had with Naina from the beginning. The first meeting with her, the constant fighting and then the cute encounters and then how it all turned into love. It was just amazing and he felt like on cloud nine. She certainly was different from everybody.

he checked his watch and saw he was getting pretty late and Naina would be waiting for him.

Naina was also getting ready quickly but she was finding a hard time choosing what to wear as she kept rejecting from Rajveer's point of view. Finally she decided on wearing black jeans and a red blouse knowing that he loved red.
Rajveer was all ready spick and span and he was giving himself final touches. He took the same amount of time getting ready as women and Sameera often teased him about it but he always replied that a man has to always look good on display. Now he only wanted to look good for Naina. As he looked in the mirror he got images of her as if he was watching a movie.
Rajveer: ha thori alag see hai, ha thori ghalat see hai
She also got images of him as she got changed

She collected her bag and did a silent prayer before leaving her room
When Rajveer came out he met Sameera on the way so he began dancing around with her twirling her around surprising her but she knew why he was so happy early in the morning.

When Naina crossed Navin's room she heard many noises inside so she went there and found him lying on the bed with her mother and Ritu fussing over him. She became worried and also went inside.
Naina: Kya huwa bhaiya ko?
Ritu: Are kuch nahi bus halka sa fever hai because someone was too smart and didn't listen to me
Navin: I didn't need to listen kyu ke maine jo kiya wo theek hee kiya. Or yeh oskee wajese nahi huwa or…(he coughed)
Naina: bhaiya aap ziada baat mat kijye. Aap ko aaraaam kee zaroorat hai
Mira: Aisee haalat me, me baahar nahi jaasakti. Aisa kartee hu ke yahi rehtee hu tere saath….
Navin: (panicked as if he was hiding something) Nahi…nahi…ma aap kyu rehtee hai. I'm fine or phir Ritu hai na mera khayaal rakhne ke liye.
Mira: Per beta yeh akele kitna kuch karegee or phir…
Navin squeezed Ritu's hand discretely to make her understand to make his mother leave. She winced slightly and then looked over at him with wide eyes as to what was he doing.
Navin: Ritu kaho na ma se tum mera khayaal acchee tarhase rakhogee (signalled with his eye to do as he said)
Ritu: (kept looking at Navin with disbelief as she understood he was doing this on purpose) ha..ha… ma me iska khayaal acchee tarhase rakhungee. Aap jaaye.
Naina saw their camaraderie and gave a mischievous grin. Navin certainly was a master in acting as he always had been doing it since childhood.
Naina: Ha or ma, me bhi hu na yaha to me bhi khayaal rakhungee bhaiya ka. Aap jaaye
She gave a wicked grin at Navin who glared back at her as he knew she also was teasing him on purpose.
Navin: Ab tujhe aisa karne kee kya zaroorat hai, mere liye Ritu kaafi hai, Tujhe yaha rehne kee koi zaroorat nahi
Naina: Aisa kese hosakta hai bhaiya, apakee tabiyat theek nahi or me aap ko chore ke chalee jao. Me yahee rahungee
Navin: (gave a weak smile and then pouted at Naina who just kept smiling) Me samajhta hu Naina per is baar mujhe itnee dekh baal kee zaroorat nahi. Me tera din kharaab nahi karna chahta. Tu jaa….
Mira: Navin, Naina theek kehrahee hai, is haalat me acha hai ke wo bhi yahi rahe. Ritu ko madad mil jaaehgee.
He was left with little choice and had to agree with the women. Once Mira left he sat up and charged on Naina.
Navin: Meree taang keech ne ke ilawa tere paas or koi kaam nahi?
Naina: Kaam to bohat hai bhaiya per aap wo karne hee nahi dete
Navin: (confused) ab kya kiya maine tere saath?
Naina: Me jaantee hu bhaiya kal aapne mujhe jaan bujke Rajveer ke paas nahi rehne diya or oske baad mujhe oske saath baat bhi nahi karne dee to phir how could I let you have fun?
Navin: Dekh meree Ritu ke saath mangni ho chukee hai or tera oske saath kuch bhi nahi
Naina: To iska matlab aapko license milgaya or mujhe nahi? Oh you'd be surprised what we've already done which gives us every right to be together… (she bit her lip realising she almost revealed something which she shouldn't have and she hoped Navin didn't recognise it)
Navin: Kya matlab hai tera? (got up and became tensed) Aisa kya kardiya hai tum dono ne? kahi tu ne….
Naina: What bhaiya yeh kese sawaal pooch rahe hai aap (she spoke quickly to hide her red cheeks) theek hai aap bhabhi ke saath akele rehna chahte hai to fine, I'm leaving.
She quickly leaves before Navin could interrogate her further and would see how blushed she had become and then her secret would be out. I mean telling her friend about it was alright but telling it to your brother was too embarrassing.
Navin: I'm sure wo mujhse kuch chupa rahee hai
Ritu: Tum bhi na Navin kese sawaal pooch rahe the osse. You made her so embarrassed.
Navin: Per maine aisa kya kaha?
Ritu: tum ne…(sees he is so confused that she drops it) Forget it, tum nahi samjhoge. Ab chalo me chaltee hu (stands up to leave)
Navin: (prevents her way) eh hello kaha jaarahee ho? Abhi abhi tumne meree ma se kaha ke tum mera acchee tarhase khayaal rakohgee
Ritu: (wraps arms around his neck) darling, maine onse onke beemaar bete ka acchee tarhase khayaal rakhne ka kaha tha, or mujhe to yaha koi beemaar nahi lagraha to…
Navin: kisne kaha ke koi beemaar nahi. You're seeing a sick man right in front of you.
Ritu: acha? Zara me pooch sakti hu ke kounsee beemaari hai janab ko?
Navin: is beemaari ka naam hai loveria or iska sirf ek hee ilaaj hai
He came forward and whispered something in her ear. She went red as a tomato and threw him back and ran out of the room teasing him. He followed her out.
Meanwhile Naina had returned back to her room and then her phone rang and when she saw it was Rajveer she bit her tongue as she forgot he was waiting for her and now he would be really mad.
Naina: ha Raj I'm really sorry wo…
Rajveer: kya yaar Naina me yaha tumhaara aadhe ghante se intezaar karaha hu. Mujhe laga tha ke mujhe aaj phirse madam kee daat paregee dair se aane ke liye or yaha pe to wo khud hee ghum
Naina: wo kya huwa Raj ke me nikal ne hee waalee thee or phir bhaiya ne…
Rajveer: Kya, to kya saale ne tujhe phirse roke liya?
Naina: Raj don't insult him
Rajveer: kya? Ab saale ko saala nahi bulaaunga to kya bulaaunga? Come on Naina me yaha intezaar karaha hu, kya tum osse nahi kehsakti

Rajveer: kya? Tum ghar pe akelee ho…(eyes beamed up) fantastic, pehle kyu nahi bataya. Me abhi aaraha hu
Naina: are nahi Rajveer…(panicked) bhaiya…hello? Hello? Raj? Hello?
The phone was cut as Rajveer's battary ran out. He cursed it but nevertheless he was happy with the thought of being alone with her at her house. It was dangerous and exciting. Naina on the other hand was pacing up and down worrying about Rajveer coming over and Navin finding him here alone with him. She couldn't understand how to prevent it. She tried calling him back but it went in vain. Now she just had to wait for him and then tell him to leave because Navin was here too.
Ritu was in the kitchen busily looking for something when Navin sneaked inside from behind and grabbed onto her waist. She shrieked and told him to let her go but he refused so she pushed him off behind landing him against the cabinets on the otherside. He began singing and pleading

She managed to push him out of the kitchen. A while later he comes through the kitchen window which is right next to the stove. Ritu has just finished cooking.
Navin: Bechain me hu betaab tum ho

choro na aise aahe bharo(she leaves the kitchen and he follows)
Navin: Dard e jigar kese sahoo

Ritu is searching for the remote of the tv and Navin is watching her from a corner.

Meanwhile Rajveer arrives outside Ahluwalia residence and drives through the drive way and sees her in through her room window. he climbs up towards it and jumps in, hands her the flowers and gives her a kiss on the cheek.
She accepts it absent mindedly but after the kiss realises what happened and is shocked to find him already in her room.
She goes towards him in order to tell him to go but he grabs her waist tight
Naina: Acha nahi hai itna satana
achee nahi yeh deewaanagi
Rajveer: Kese bhujao bhujti nahi hai
yeh pyaas kesee mann me jagee
Naina:(manages to push him away) Paagal bare tum ho sanam (he tickles her) Chero na yu, tumko kasam
She is going but he grabs onto her hand and pulls her towards him on the bed

They walk through a room

Somehow Ritu and Naina get exchanged without knowing. By the end Rajveer hugs Ritu from the back and she thinks its Navin
Naina runs into Navin and is surprised that he's down there. Then they are surprised to find Rajveer hugging Ritu
Naina: Rajveer!
Rajveer opens his eyes and finds a mortified Naina standing in front of him. He lets go of Ritu immediately going red with embarrassment and stands there awkwardly. All of them keep staring at each other as if asking what were you doing
Rajveer: I think mujhe jaana chaheeye
He makes his way towards the door but unfortunately comes across Naina's parents
Rajveer: (absent mindedly) Namaste
He's walking away when Naina's father catches his arm and holds him back
Father: Kaun ho tum or yaha kya karahe ho?
Navin: (under his breath) margaye
Rajveer: ji...me...me...wo...me...
Ritu: (whispers) Navin jaake Rajveer ko bachao
Navin: Paagal hogayee ho agar ma ne mujhe yaha dekhliya to meree to aaj chuttee hogi hee or me Rajveer ke liye bhi kuch nahi karpaaoonga
Father: Yaha kya karahe ho tum?
Rajveer: Ji me wo... bij...bij...li dekhne aaya tha to wo...
Father: Bijli lekin hamne to koi complaint nahi kee thee
Rajveer: nahi...me...me...wo...bijli (thniks what to say ) bijli ba....ha beichne aaya tha.
Father: bijli beichne aaye the? (looks around) tumhaara saamaan to nahi dikhraha
Navin bursts out laughing Ritu gets annoyed at him
Rajveer: (panicks) s...s... saammaan...ha saara...ch...chori hogaya
Father: (looks at him and senses something fishy) sach sach batao kaun ho tum
Naina: Papa wo ye...
Father: Maine sawaal isse poocha hai Naina. Tu beechme mat bole
Naina: lekin papa yeh...
Father: Bus Naina tu andar jaa
Naina has no choice, she gives Rajveer a sorry look and goes inside. Rajveer tries to escape but Naina's father is adamant.
Father: Tum batate ho ke me police ko phone karu
Rajveer: Rajveer mera ji naam papa Gehlot ka naam beijhte bijli nahi bohat koi hamara Naina karobaar bara pyaar shaadi hai karta chahta karna hu
Father: kya?
Rajveer: (gulped and spoke in one breath) Ji mera naam Rajveer hai or mere papa lala Gehlot hai or hum koi bijli nahi beichte hamara bara karobaar hai or me Naina se bohat pyaar karta hu or shaadi karna chahta hu
saying that he runs away from there before her father can blast him with anymore questions.
Both the parents are left standing there aghast at the young man's speech and couldn't believe their ears. They needed answers and shot a glance at Navin who stood with a guilty face.
