CHAPTER 21: WAITRESS TO SINGHANIA CONSTRUCTION

"LOVE HAS ITS OWN WAY TO HAPPEN. IF YOU CLOSE THE DOOR IT MAY ENTER THROUGH THE WINDOW."

Next morning Kalpi woke up and got ready to leave for work. Kamla and Vitthal prayed for her wellbeing. Ajji faked ignorance but the reality was she was equally praying for Kalpi's happiness. Pakya was in the chawl compound waiting for Kalpi to leave safely. Here Kalpi was on the verge of crying looking at all the happy faces but she was able mask everything successfully "Tune hi mujhe sikhaya hai aai ki koi bhi kaam chota ya bara nahi hota. Bas ab iss choti si naukri se main apne aur tere saarey sapne poorey karungi aai." Little did she know that destiny had its own plans. Pakya felt something unusual but brushed it off thinking it to be her nervousness. Kalpi reaches the restaurant and changes into the waitress outfit. She feels a bit uncomfortable but then starts her work.

Neetu plans a family lunch and asks Pakhi to invite Kamla too as she wanted to grill her even more on Kalpi's results. Pakhi goes to Kamla and asks he to join for the lunch. She hesitates at first but then gives in. Neetu and family arrives at the same restaurant where Kalpi is working as a waiteress. She gets the biggest shock when she sees the Kapoors in the restaurant and the manager asked her to attend them. She went as per the managers orders and started attending the Kapoors. No wonder Prem was at first kind of oogling at her. When Neetu started her taunts he came back to reality. Neetu gave the order and asked for it to be placed as soon as possible. Kalpi went and brought their order and stated serving them. Kamla and Pakhi entered the place and was shocked to see Kalpi working as waiter. Kamla tried stopping her but to no avail. Pakhi reprimanded her for chosing such kind of a job and even for concealing it from Kalma maa. Kamla straight away went to out from there and Pakhi followed her. Kalpi continued with the serving.

Here Kamla went to Raghav's house and this time he could not resist meeting her. Kamla entered the house and waited for Raghav. On seeing Kamla infront of him Raghav could not control his emotions. He turned to hide his tears and asked in faking sternes "Kahiye Kamla baai, main aapki kya kar sakta hoon." Kamla looked upto him and said "Aap abhi tak muskurana nahi seekhe na." Raghav was having a hard time controlling his emotions. He again asked her "Kya kar sakta hoon Kamla bai?" Kamla started telling him about her dreams. Raghav was listening with utmost attention. Kamla then told about Kalpi working as a waitress "Meri Kalpi college fail karne ke baad hotel mein waiter ka kaam kar rahi hai." Hearing this Raghav clenched his fists. He could never imagine Kalpi working as a waitress in the worst of his dreams "Kalpi...waiteress...nahi yeh theek nahi hai..." But still he tried defending Kalpi "Koi bhi kaam chota ya bara nahi hota Kamla baai." Kamla told him that she was afraid Kalpi would be broken and asked Ragav to guide Kalpi and make her like him. Raghav at once took out his cell phone and asked Sammy to prepapre an appointment letter for Kalpi "Ya Sammy ... Kalpana Vitthal Jadav ke liye appointment letter tayiyaar karo. Kaam kya hoga, salary kya hogi ...yeh main aa kar bataunga." Kamla was very happy and thus went to him joining her hands. Raghav at once held her hands and asked her not bend infront of him as Kalpi will not like this. Kamla then says that he reminds her of late Mr. Singhania which makes Raghav emotional.

Here Kalpi is serving the Kapoors and drops some curry on Neetu's sandal. Neetu yells at the manager as well as Kalpi. The manager then asks Kalpi to clean the sandal which shocks her to the core. All the while Prem has a devilish smirk plasted on his face while Sahil sits there expressionless. Kalpi is just about to touch Neetu's feet when Kamla holds her hand and says "Tu ab yeh kaam nahi karegi. Maine tereliye doosra kaam dhoondh liya hai." Saying so she takes Kalpi along with her. At home Vitthal and Pakya came running to Kalpi to give her some news. Kamla told Vitthal about the the days happenings which made Vitthal furious. But he calmed down when Kamla told that Kalpi will now be working with Raghav in his company. Pakya sat beside Kalpi and offered her some sweets and then told her that she could give her correspondence exams and continue her work along with it. Kalpi was happy hearing it but Kamla went preparing the dinner which made Kalpi disappointed. Indeed destiny had different plans ahead.
