CHAPTER 22: FIRST DAY AT OFFICE

"ACCEPTANCE AND PATIENCE ARE THE ONLY TWO WORDS WHICH CAN MAKE A PERSON HAPPY IN THE LONGER RUN."

Kalpi was busy staring the moon. For outsiders it would look as if Kalpi was admiring the beauty of the moon but the truth was, Raghav inherited her mind. She was constantly thinking about Raghav "Yeh Raghav itna ajeeb kyun hai? Samajh kar bhi isey samajh nahi paati main. Pehele toh mujhe duniya bhar ke taane denge aur phir aai ke kehene par mujhe naukri bhi de di. Kyun?" Here Pakhi was drooling over Raghav's pictures and Raghav was busy thinking about his plan to make Kalpi strong and Pakhi..well offcourse he was not thinking about her at all.

Kalpi was standing on the terrace when Vitthal came and put a hand on her head "Kya baat hai? Aaj meri rajkumari ko neend nahi aa rahi?" Kalpi smiled at him and very innocently said "Baba vo Raghav Singhania hai na. Vo bohot khadus hai. Phir usne mujhe naukri kyun di?" Vitthal smiled and said "Beta vo teri aai ki bohot izzat kartey hain. Aur kabhi bhi kisi ke baton se uss insaan ke liye raaye nahi banatey. Samjhi? Chal ab sone chal." Next morning was awaiting new surprises and new beginning offcourse.

Kalpi was ready for office and reached well before time. She asked the receptionist to inform Raghav about her arrival "Dekhiye..kya aap please Mr. Singhania ko inform kar sakti hain. Mujhe 9:30 mein report karna tha aur abhi sirf do minute baaki hai. Unse kahiye na please ki Kalpana Jadav aa chuki hai." The receptioninst was surprised and asked the peon to guide her to her cabin. Kalpi entered the cabin and sat on the chair. Raghav stood out of the cabin and came inside. Kalpi walked upto him to say thanks but Raghav didn't let her speak rather asked in a stern tone "Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?" Kalpi told that he himself gave her the job. Raghav nodded a yes but then added "Maine pucha tum iss cabin mein kya kar rahi ho?" Kalpi told that his employes guided her there. Raghav called one of his employes and told him "Malhotra maine kya kaha tha. Aaj do log iss office ko join karenge. Ek Ms. Pakhi Kapoor jo Marketing Supervisor ki post pe join kar rahi hai aur doosri Ms. Kalpana Jadav jo ki Assistant Supervisor ki post pea a rahi hai." Kalpi was shocked not because she was working as an Assistant but because she would be working under Pakhi which meant working under Kapoor. Raghav saw this but could not understand what she was thinking.

"I am sorry Kalpi par yeh tumhari hi jagah hai. Mere employees ne tumhe tumhari jagah dikhayi hai. Par tum abhi iske liye tayiyaar nahi ho. Main tumhe Pakhi se bhi behetar bana doonga. Aur tum iss post se bhi upar ke post ke kaabil ban jaogi." Saying so he left and asked Sammy to explain the work to Kalpi. Sammy asked Kalpi to follow him but when kalpi did not come he asked for her attention. He explained each and everything to Kalpi and left from here. Every staff member was throwing taunts on her. Raghav walked upto Sammy and was discussing something with him. Kalpi looked in Raghav's direction when she noticed a chandelier falling on Raghav. She ran to him and pushed him on the sofa. The chandelier fell with a thud and broke into pieces. Raghav got a little hurt and mouthed a thank you. Sammy took him to his cabin and called the doctor. Pakhi entered the office and Kamla too came there with Kalpi's tiffin. Kamla left after wishing both of them while Pakhi asked about Raghav. Kalpi made a face and left.

All the while Raghav was only thinking about Kalpi "Mujhe bachane ke liye khud beech main aa gayi. Pagal kahin ki. Agar usey kuch ho jata toh." Sammy noticed that Raghav was lost somewhere and said aloud to gain his attention "Doctor. Aap Raghav ko injection kab denge?" Raghav at once got out of his trance and said "Sammy tu itna excited kyun ho raha hai..tu janta hai mujhe injection se problem hai." Sammy cut him off saying "Tu doctor nahi hai. Isiliye unhe apna kaam karne de." Raghav protested like a child "Nahi doctor aap iski baat mat maniye. Yeh to hai hi pagal. Aap mujhe antibiotics de dijiye." Pakhi entered the cabin and laughed on learning that Raghav fears injection. Raghav sternly asks her to get ou while Sammy smiles at her childishness and says "Whats wrong with Pakhi Kapoor? Itna hans kyun rahi thi vo?" Raghav nodded a no.

Pakhi went upto Kalpi and told her about the discovery of Raghav's fear for injections. Suddenly she noticed her name as marketing supervisor and asked Kalpi about her designation. Kalpi told that she would be assisting her which shocked Pakhi. She believed it to be a mistake but Raghav interrupted saying there is no mistake. Sammy explained Pakhi what all she had to do while Pakhi focused on Kalpi's flushed face. Once Sammy finished Pakhi asked him to leave "Ho gaya? Then please leave. Kitna accha samjhatey hain aap." Sammy rolled his eyes thininking "Mujhe aatitude de rahi hai. Do din raho saari attitude ghar pe chod ke aaogi phir." and left from there. Pakhi tuned towards Kalpi only to find her missing.
