Yes u are making sense...definitely to me..😊As u said, it may be a matter of time lets see...Its about sensibilities too...If the larger audience does not appreciate it...I guess it will not matter how a few see it...As I said to Poppy, that prevalent social mores will decide the next course... However, within that, there is manoeuvring space for the CVs to do something nice...Hopefully...they will!!

👍🏼I would say the same about his misogynistic tendencies..he doesn't really take it that seriously! 😆So long as it doesn't clash with his (father's) interests...he is someone who enjoys and appreciates an independent working woman.
Beautifully written.
Man that monologue of his...completely broke my heart. Whatever he said was out of pure jealousy towards Adi and hatred towards Nirmala...Sumo did not even feature in his thoughts! Damn...I had really thought that those things he said were partly a result of this want to rid Sumo of Adi...since he knew Sumo wasn't happy with the alliance! But no...I was so freaking wrong!Hmmm...i think the script and dialogue writer were not on the same page...I somehow got the feeling they were torn between putting Sumo in his vision and keeping her out...or in their misplaced fear of how it will be explained later...they gave him that stupid dialogue (quite like the bed warmer day!!) 😡
Then about yesterday's episode...for some reason...I did look forward to it! Everything was fine...till the time Shravan's true feelings crawled back in to the shell and his hard and harsh shell resurfaced. I mean like seriously? There she was with a tray of food...FOR HIM...his only friend...who had just been physically assaulted moments ago...instead of going and sitting by her...and trying to calm her down and making her feel better...he reacted almost cruelly! Did he have to say that he would have done this for any woman?? Did he have to say that he was there for Nanu?Puja, I think it is a deliberate thing by the CVs...if u notice when she comes with the food, he looks at her very calmly...and when she asks him to eat, he says in a normal tone, mann nahin hain...If u look at that scene and the scene that followed...it is almost as if he was savouring the moment of normalcy in their relationship which had vanished and he was harbouring the hope that amidst the ruins of their bond, they can build something new...its a very poignant scene...watch it again...Unfortunately the very next scene, Sumo gives him a vote of thanks...(Please read Dreamer_89's post) and it changes the complexion of where he was and what it is really. Once u read the post...u get a sense of what Shravan was going thru at that moment..
Some people will say he was feeling guilty or whatever...so he retracted...but at such vulnerable moments...you only think about how to make the other person feel better...and that's it! So his behavior irked me to no end! While Sumo maybe knew what Shravan truly felt and thought (though I really doubt it...because after such an incident...people are hardly in the right frame of mind)...at such times...you just have to overtly show your care for the person...even if that means just sitting by them!Yes...I accept but the narrative cannot have those moments becos their mental distances are too much...His take care was that manifestation...the most the narrative can allow at this point...but I get your point...

Even I am glad they left it out..and saved it for another day...So much drama was enough for one day..😉
Yes it would have undermined the effect of the physical/ 'sexual' assault...I wouldn't call it the latter still, because Aditya did not feel he had breached her privacy here...He was ready to give his explanation for his behaviour when Nirmala slapped him and he left because she asked him to..He could have stood there and started explaining the rest of Haan Maa.. Lekin Shrav...That would have been a catastrophe for sure. Again emphasising on how it didn't occur as more than a physical assault/ evidence gathering for him until Suman and Nirmala pointed out otherwise..'The intention of that outburst is at the core of the issue, and admittedly it is a bit vague to me. I am not exactly clear at the moment whether it was only vindictiveness to show Adi who claimed to have a special place in Sumo's life. Unfortunately, the monologue on the next day gave an impression that given his deep-set misogyny, he was looking at it as if it was a victory of sorts that he managed to put a seed of doubt in Adi's mind. By making that conversation very explicit, and premeditated, CVs have made Shravan road to salvation very difficultI think at that point in time, as you rightly said, Suman was nowhere in his sight...It was vindictiveness to the boy his mother cared for more than him...the very same boy who would mock at him as a failure when it came to him being a son and a lover...Misogyny seemed to be nowhere in place...In fact, Shravan seemed to be at war with the whole world!Nice that the two things that matter to him most were part of the fbs after the incident- One was about how his Sumo had suffered...and the other about the disgrace Nanu was put through...Both thanks to Aditya, for sure😉...Suddenly his focus has shifted back to Nanu and Suman...Though he tries to classify what he feels for Suman too, as for Naanu's sake...But he did turn around and say, apna khayal rekhna...That was all his shocked mind could come up with...To be frank, Shravan looked more shaken than Suman at this point...and the memory of what he had told about their relationship had not even pricked him yet...I call this Raw Shravan..Take away all his thinking capabilities..make him go numb...and even put in that hatred that doesn't seem to go away...He will still look back and say- Apna Khayal rekhna...Something that will touch Suman...
I get that maybe the way she thanked him reminded him of where they stand...but I mean...she is hurt...just for a day...couldn't he brush off the complexities of their relationship? I don't know...maybe things are too complicated to be made so simple.

One, Nanu saying to Nirmala that he wanted his granddaughter to get married and enjoy her future ...he hadnt bargained for her ruin...clearly outlining to Nirmala...that her son might have been getting married to Sumo in less than few hours but, that didnt mean he can control her or to do his bidding...Second, when Aditya opens his mouth to lay the blame on Shravan...Shravan's reflection or his expression held pure revulsion...there wasnt a guilt at that moment...underscoring again that Aditya 's act ought to be read as an act which has a stamp of his own choices and interpretation of life and circumstances.A crime as which was shown yesterday has no reason, no cause...it stems from man's perverted logic of embodying his power over women ...to show that he can control both a women's body and sexuality...Am glad they kept Shravan's guilt independent of what transpired yesterday...Shravan was wrong but not because he incited or provoked Aditya into committing this crime...Thank you for this post as it was much needed to put things into correct perspective...
