Ruheen Ali Khan calls her bond with YRKKH co-star Rohit Purohit a ‘very beautiful relationship’

Ruheen Ali Khan, who was recently seen playing Geetanjali in Star Plus' long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, bid farewell to the show after her character faced a tragic end in the storyline. It was her debut in a Hindi TV show, but one wouldn't say it, as her performance as Geetanjali was remarkable, she portrayed the grey-shaded character with finesse.

Following her exit from the show, India Forums had an exclusive conversation with the actress, where Ruheen opened up about her early life, how she landed the show, whether she is satisfied with the ending her character received, and much more.

In the conversation, when asked about her first interaction with Rohit Purohit, Ruheen shared, "Meeting Rohit sir was also like, dheere dheere, dheere, we build that relationship, we break the ice baat karte karte, and baat ke alawa kya hota hai ki scenes aap aise karte ho na, there you have to be angry at each other, and abhi aap ek dusre ko jaante bhi nahi ho. You have to shout at each other, you have to, in a way, admire each other. I had to, as Geetanjali, admire him most of the time because Geetanjali liked Armaan. So ye saari cheeze dekhte-dekhte, karte karte hi wo ek bond ban jaata hai. So, starting mein we didn't try to break the ice in some way ki bohot baat karne ki koshish kare, all of that. It takes time, but dheere-dheere I think, while performing, karte karte, it happened and developed into a very beautiful relationship, a very bohot achi relationship nikal ke aayi. Not just with him, but also with Maira, also with Sam (Samridhii Shukla), and with all of my co-artists. My daadu (YRKKH's character), till date, I call him anytime I call him and I ask him, 'Daadu, kya kare rahe hain?' and he is very sweet. Saare, humare, matlab thankfully, all my co-artists were, are, and will always be amazing."

You have to shout at each other, and in a way, admire each other. I had to, as Geetanjali, admire him most of the time because Geetanjali liked Armaan. So, seeing all these things and doing them, a bond naturally forms. In the beginning, we didn't try to force the ice-breaking or try to talk too much, all of that. It takes time, but slowly, I think, while performing, it happened and developed into a very beautiful relationship, a really wonderful bond. Not just with him, but also with Maira, with Sam, and with all my co-artists. I still call my daadu anytime and ask him, 'Daadu, what are you doing?' and he is always very sweet. Thankfully, all my co-artists were, are, and will always be amazing.)

Recalling her first meeting with Samriddhi Shukla, the actress said, "So Sam se toh I met, I think I met her because uss waqt sirf milna hua tha kyunki they were all, unka theeno ka alag chal raha tha – Daadi sa, Sam, and Shruti ma'am. They were shooting alag hi because unka alag chal raha tha scenes, and we were shooting alag."

Though Geetanjali's journey on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai came to an unexpected end, Ruheen also revealed that she is satisfied with how her character's story wrapped up. Fans will surely remember her performance and the bond she shared with her co-actors.
