South Korea’s Hallyu Wave has been a huge soft power for the nation. In today’s times, Korean actors and actresses are known globally and enjoy immense fan following. Yesterday, a big event was held by the South Korean government to felicitate all actors and actresses who contributed to the Korean wave. Stars turned up dressed in best formals for the 16th Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards.

Actor Lee Min-Ho gets the award

Lee Min-Ho who is known all over the world for his shows Boys Over Flowers, The Legend Of The Blue Sea, Heirs was awarded at the event. He looked radiant as he picked up the trophy. Later, he posted on social media thanking everyone for the wonderful journey.

Ji Chang-wook

Actor Ji Chang-wook who will soon be seen on Disney Plus’ Manipulated also won the award. He is also known as a terrific actor and Hallyu star. This moment between Lee Min-Ho and Ji Chang-wook went viral all over.

Ju Ji-Hoon

Fans in India know Ju Ji-Hoon from his blockbuster zombie show, Kingdom. He was last seen on Netflix’s superhit web series, Trauma Code: Heroes On Call. Ju Ji-Hoon was also in shows like Hyena, Blood Free, Love Your Enemy, Jirisan to name a few. His moments with Park Boyoung made fans melt.

Squid Game’s Frontman and No Other Choice actor Lee Byung-Hun won the Bogwan Medal. It was one of the most prestigious awards of the evening. He wore a grey suit for the event. The actor was recently seen with Shah Rukh Khan.

GDragon of former Big Bang

South Korea's pop icon GDragon became the first idol to receive Korea's Top cultural Prize, the Okgwan Order of Cultural Merit, at the 16th Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards!
