Suman slowly started to move away from Shravan's embrace. The effects of the shot she had consumed was starting to wear off a bit and she suddenly realized where she was. She was in the secluded corridor of a Pub kissing Shravan. The realisation of what she had just done started to dawn on her. She had practically attacked him.

"Oh my God!" thought Suman in her mind.

"What's the matter?" asked Shravan as Suman stepped away from him and looked the other way, her eyes not quite meeting his. Shravan moved away from the wall and reached for Suman's hand as he made her look at him.

"Sumo?" he said looking down at her. Suman blushed under his gaze, unable to take the way he was looking at her, she reached up and closed his eyes with her hand. Shravan reached up and pulled her hand down, as he tilted his head questioningly at her.

"Iss tarah muje maat deko!"

"Kiss tarah?" asked Shravan with a raise of his browse.

"The way you're looking at me! I can't explain it. It makes me feel shy OK?" Suman murmured as she turned away from him. Shravan smiled as he moved in front of her.

"Shy? You?" he asked with a smirk.

"What's that supposed to mean?" asked Suman indignantly as she looked up at him.

"Worked like a charm!" said Shravan with a small laugh.

"What worked?"

"Oh Sumo...it's so easy to rile you up. You fall for it every time. That ego of yours...hamesha tume leh doobthi hai!"

"Very funny Shravan!" said Suman as she glanced at his disapprovingly.

Shravan laughed. "You know there is never a bored moment with you, or even a predictable one for that matter! One minute you're kissing me, and the next you're ready for a fight! Tum sach main ek one piece ho Sumo!"

"You won't ever let me live it down right?"

"What?"

"The fact that I kissed you?" said Suman as she looked away from Shravan and then back at him again. Before he was able to say anything she spoke "I'm sorry!"

"Sorry?"

"For kissing you like that...I..." Suman was saying when Shravan stopped her. His expression suddenly serious.

"Let me get this straight. You're sorry you kissed me? So you're saying you regret it?" he asked roughly.

The tone of his voice alerted Suman to the fact that he had misunderstood what she was trying to say. She had merely wanted to apologize for coming on too strong under the effects of the alcohol she had consumed. But the fact was, she could not regret kissing Shravan. She could never regret it, coz nothing had ever felt more right!

"NO...No of course not!" said Suman as she stepped closer to Shravan again, placing her hand on his chest, as she looked up at him earnestly.

Shravan cupped her face as he looked down at her. "Then why did you say sorry?"

"I mean sorry for coming on too strong!" murmured Suman. "It was the tequila, went straight to my head!"

"I thought you said it was me that went to your head?" said Shravan with a twist of his lips. But when he saw the expression on Suman's face his own expression softened.

"Sumo...you have nothing to apologize for. In fact, it's me that should apologize. I shouldn't have let you kiss me. I knew you were tipsy and like a Cad I took advantage of you in your state. So I am sorry!" said Shravan, his expression serious.

Suman giggled. "God Shravan...that line was like a typical 90's hero type...you know..."Muje maaf kardo Pooja...main ne apna haad paar kardiya" type of dialogue?" said Suman giggling some more.

Shravan shook his head at her. "Pooja?"

"You know...in the 90's everyone was Pooja right?"

"Like Aaj Pooja...kal koi Dooja?"

"Hey that was a line from Dil Chata Hai...you know when Aamir's character is mocking Saif's character?"

"Yes of course...how can I forget, you loved that movie right?"

"Still do! Such a great movie about friendship!"

"Yeah but more the "Bromance" variety don't you think? Our friendship is more like Rahul and Anjali of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai!"

"Kuch kuch hota hai Rahul...tum nahi somjoge!" said Suman softly looking at Shravan.

"Kuch kuch hota hai Anjali...tum nahi somjogi!" murmured Shravan as they just kept looking at each other.

"Lekin main sab samajtha hu!" said a voice from behind them which brought the two lovers out of their bubble.

They both turned around to see Pushkar standing there with an ironic expression on his face.

"Chote..."..."Pushkar"...said Shravan and Suman in unison.

"Yes it's me! Or had you forgotten I was in there?" he said to his brother. Then turning to Suman he said "Sumo... apki date apko dund rahi hain! Iss seh pehele ke woh yaha aa jaye...aap please andar jaiye!" he said with a twist of his lips.

"Pushkar?" said Shravan looking at him. "You're asking Sumo to go back inside and spend time with that Ajay? What's wrong with you?"

"Bhaiyya...if you have forgotten, let me remind you. The guy in there is not some random guy. He is Ajay Singh, senior associate at Malhotra & Associates. We can't just antagonise him. Can you imagine Sir's reaction if he knew what was going on here, and how rude you have been to him?" asked Pushkar disapprovingly.

Shravan sighed. Pushkar was right. In his jealousy over Suman he had reacted badly towards Ajay, and even now, lost in his realisation of Suman's feelings for him, he had not stopped to think how this could end up, if Suman just walked out of this Pub without even speaking to Ajay.

"Shravan" said Suman in a quite voice. "Pushkar is right. I should go inside and talk to Ajay. He invited me here after all, and I cant just walk out of here with you! I'll go talk to him and explain that I am not feeling well, and leave!"

"Leave? Sumo...you cant drive. In fact you wont drive, is that clear?"

"Shravan...stop being so bossy!" muttered Suman.

"Actually Sumo, Bhaiyya is right. You cant drive. After you excuse yourself from Ajay, come out here, and Bhaiyya will drive you home!"

"Lekin tum?" said Suman looking at Pushkar.

"I'll drive your car back to your place, and catch a ride back with Bhaiyya!"

"To MY place?" asked Suman. She had hoped she would get some time alone with Shravan. Looking at her expression Pushkar laughed.

"God Sumo...ithani bhi obvious maat ban! Your face...!" He laughed again. "You guys leave, then I will stay here and dance with Natasha and Nicky and then come to your place in 1 hour! Is THAT enough time for you guys to talk?" asked Pushkar with extra emphasis on the word Talk!

Suman blushed at this and looked away. Shravan noticed that she was feeling shy and gave a withering look to his cousin.

"Chote...tum kuch zyada nahi bol rahe ho?"

"Zyada? Abhi toh main shuru bhi nahi huwa hu!" said Pushkar with a chuckle.

"We're done here. Aab koi kuch aur nahi bolega!" said Shravan in a firm tone which meant business. Pushkar knew when not to push his brother.

"Sumo, you go inside and deal with Ajay. I'll wait for you here. Give Pushkar your keys!" he said, at which Suman nodded and took her keys out of her clutch and handed them to Pushkar. She then made her way into the club, and Pushkar followed her.

Soon Suman and Pushkar both noticed Ajay who was at the bar. She looked at Pushkar as if to say "I'll deal with this!" and he nodded as he moved away from the bar. She went over to Ajay and spoke to him.

"Ajay..." she said slowly. "I am so sorry about disappearing like that. In fact I am not feeling too well. See I usually don't drink and..." Suman was saying when Ajay stopped her.

"It's Shravan right?" he said with a knowing smile.

"How...I mean what do you mean?" asked Suman, trying hard to pretend she didn't understand what he meant. Ajay shook his head.

"Look Suman...this is not my first rodeo. I can see very clearly there is something going on between you two. Shravan has been going all Cave-Man on me whenever he sees me with you!" said Ajay with a laugh. "Clearly it's not one sided?" he asked with a raise of his browse, to which Suman pursed her lips. She was stumped. "What I don't understand is why you said yes to go on a date with me, when you have feelings for Shravan too?" asked Ajay looking squarely at her.

Suman had the grace to look ashamed. "I'm so sorry Ajay! I said yes, coz I thought that Shravan only liked me as a friend. I was upset and I acted rashly. I am really very sorry if I led you on! I really didn't mean to do that...I never do things like that...I..." Suman was rambling on when Ajay stopped her.

"Please Suman...dont feel so bad. We have all been there. In fact I have dated my fair share of girls. But I am not the Casanova that Shravan seems to take me for! What was that thing he said about my usual M.O?" said Ajay with a laugh.

"Ajay...I apologise on Shravan's behalf for that!"

"It's fine. But for the record...I honestly did like you, DO like you, but I can tell when I'm about to get a ruling which is not in my favour!" said Ajay with a twist of his lips.

"Sorry!" said Suman contritely. Ajay really was not bad at all. In fact he was really nice. She would make sure to let Shravan know how good he had been about everything and make him apologise to Ajay as well.

"Forget it! I won't say good bye, coz I am sure we will meet each other again...so Au revoir! You better go outside now, I bet Shravan is waiting for you!"

Suman blushed. "Thank you Ajay! Good night!"

"Good night Suman!"

Suman turned around and left the bar area, heaving a sigh of relief. That had gone way better than she had expected. She then started moving towards the front entrance and saw Pushkar at the table with the girls. She waived at him and gave him a thumbs up to indicate everything was fine. He smiled and gave her a thumbs up back.

Suman walked out into the secluded corridor and saw Shravan waiting for her there. Suman smiled as she saw him.

"I was about to come in search of you!" said Shravan. "Muje laga ke shayad tumhari irada toh nahin badali?"

"Kabhi nahi!" said Suman as she came closer to Shravan. "Aab yeh irada pakki hai Vakil Sahaab!"

"Good to know!" said Shravan with a smile as he took her hand and they walked into the parking lot. They got into the car and drove away into the night. Shravan turned on the radio to an English FM channel. The music filled the car.

Shravan looked at Suman and smiled. She smiled back at him and then looked outside the widow. She had heard this song many times before, but suddenly it felt totally relevant. It was funny how one kiss had changed everything. This Kiss had been the most powerful weapon that had transformed them from friends into lovers. One Kiss! And if she had her way, she would be kissing Shravan every day for the rest of her life.
