Chapter 13---------The planJass hung up the phone with a cunning smile. "now things will go according to my plan."
Shivani was in her room trying to decide what she should wear. she and daaju were leaving shortly to go to Raghu's house. Daaju was going there with her marriage proposal for Raghu. Just the thought of Raghu brought on a huge smile to her face. Was this really happening? Was she going to get married to Raghu? Shivani had to pinch herself. Her heart beat only for Raghu. It was with him that she saw her future. She could not contain her joy. Raghu was everything she wanted in a husband. He was smart, funny, witty, honest, loyal aand best of all he was so handsome...
She shock her head to clear her thoughts and tried to concentrate on the matter at hand. What should she wear? There was a knock on her door. she went to answer it and there stood her sister in law, Mahima.
"Bharbhi?"
"Why are you surprised to see me? I'm hear to help you dress up. A girl has to look her best when she's going to meet her future in laws."
Shivani smiled gratefully. "Please come in."
Mahima had a sly smile but quickly turned it into a sweet when when she faced shivani.
"Now, what are you planning on wearing?"
Shivani sighed,"I can't decide."
Mahima again smiled. she walked over to Shivani's closet and pulled out the most expensive dress that she owned. She handed it to shivani and said, "This will do perfectly."
Shivani looked at it skeptically. Mahima noticed the look and quickly said,"What are you thinking? Don't you want to look nice for your would be groom?"
"I do, but don't you think that this outfit is a bit too flashy?"
"Shivani, you are a Rana. We are close to Royalty. We always have to look our best. Even if its for a small function."
"But Bharbhi...?"
"No buts. I want you looking your best so that your would be groom would be mesmerized by you."
Shivani looked like she was fighting with herself. so many conflicting emotions crossed her face. Finally she took the dress after having debating it with herself. Mahima smiled.
Then mahima said,"You would need jewellry to match the dress. she went to Shivani's dresser and pulled the heaviest, set. "this should match perfectly." Shivani again looked skeptical but took it. Mahima told her,"Okay darling, i will leave you to get dressed. You'll surely dazzle your beloved. I'm sure he wouldn't be able to take his eyes of you." she turned and left.
Jass meet Mahima in their room. "Well?"
Mahima smiled and said, "all has gone according to plan."
Jass smiled and said,"Even my plan will go off without a hitch."
they both smiled. they had come up with what they thought to be an ingenious plan. First Jass had called up the driver and told him daaju and his sister we not to arrive at Raghu's house. He wanted the car to have a small accident. but he also ensured that his family wouldn't get hurt. The plan was that they should never arrive at Raghu's house. and then Mahima's plan was coming into play. She made sure that shivani would be dressed in her finest clothes and jewellry. Now when the car got into the so called accident, Jass and Mahima had hired someone to pretend to save the day. However, the guy who saved the day would be instantly smitten with Shivani and would want to marry her. thus making daaju reconsider his decision. THe driver would call Raghu at the right time. when raghu rushes to the accident sight, he would fine a beautifully dressed Shivani talking with an equally dressed young man. Thus, raghu will feel insecure about shiavni adn will remember his status and he himslef will not agree to marry shivani.
jass and mahima smiled at their flawless paln but little did they know that they plan would soon back fire...
