Chapter 15---------RaghuRaghu was eagerly pacing in his room. He couldn't stop smiling even if he wanted to. He felt so alive and happy. His heart thundered loudly in his chest. Could this really be happening? His mind was reliving the moment when Shiivani had confessed her love for him. Surely his mind was playing tricks on him.He had been in love with Shivani for a very long time now.He was afraid to tell how he felt because they belonged to different classes. But a miracle had happened. Shivani was also in love with him. Now Shiavni and Malik Saa were on their way to his house to discuss his and Shivani's marriage. He was too excited to think about anything else.
There was a soft knock on his door. He turned and his mother Latha and his father Baburam were standing there. He gestured for them to come in.Latha took one look at him and smiled. She saw a man in love standing before her.
"Raghu, are you sure this is what you want?" Latha asked him.She wanted her son to be happy and if Shivani was the one to bring the happiness then she would gladly welcome her with arms wide open.
"Yes maa, this is what i want. I love her and i will gladly give up my life for her. I cannot see her with someone else. I will die before i let harm come to her.She is my very heartbeat. "
Latha again smiled. She had never seen Raghu in this state. He was so happy.
Raghu looked at his father, "Dad aren't you happy thet malik saa is coming here with his grand daughter's marriage proposal?"
"What are you saying Raghu? Of course i'm happy." And baburam was thinking that he had found a golden goose and he wasn't going to let go of it. The Ranas lived like royalty in their haveli. He too had high hopes of staying there to. He wanted to live the lifestyle of the rich. What good tidings Raghu had brought when he announced that malik saa was coming there to discuss marriage.Baburam's mind was working overtime. He had a huge smile on his face and both Raghu and Latha mistook that to be joy over Raghu's marriage.
"Raghu get cleaned up and come downstairs soon. I'm sure the Ranas will be here any minute."Latha said and she blessed him with "May you always be happy son."
She and Baburam left.Raghu went to shower. When he was finished, he choose his pink Kurta, because it was Shivani's favourite.he comb his hair and he could feel his excitement building. He could not wait to see his beloved. He looked at his murti of Lord Ganesh and went to pray." Baba, today i'm so happy. I never thought that i would have be given this much happiness. Lord, you know it all. I have loved Shivani before i even knew what love was. I couldn't bear to see her hurt. When Malik saa told me to convince Shivani to marry Abhi, i was shattered. But when Shivani confessed her love for me i never felt so alive. Thank you Lord for this small blessing. When i saw shivani being held at gun point by abhi i lost it. I will never let anything happene to her. Today Baba, i swear before you that i will always protect Shivani until my last breath. I will shield her adn give my life up for her. Baba, please bless me. Bless shivani and bless our upcoming marriage. All is before you Lord. I cannot hide anything from you. You alone know what's in my heart. Today baba ask that you make me a worthy husband for shivani and that we live our lives happily. Thank you baba. Bless me." As he said this a flower which was placed before the murti fell into his hands. Raghu had recieved God's blessings...
