@Meenaxi: I think you are missing my point here. I am not saying that the CVs should show Siva in an adulterous relationship with Ganga...or that Parvati should be shown getting jealous. I was just replying to a post that talked about different perceptions wrt the Siva-Parvati-Ganga relationship. It is not my intention to get into an argument over what should be considered authentic or original.@Shruti: It looks like I should not have mentioned Kalidasa here at all😆 He never wrote anything about 'a love-triangle' between Siva, Parvati and Ganga. He is the poet of 'Kumarasambhava' (The Birth of Kumara) which is all about Siva and Parvati's love and eventual union. The verse from Meghaduta depicts Parvati's possessiveness...that too in a very playful manner.

@sub-rosa-i know he didnt write about Shiva,Parvati and Ganga love traingle,i was saying generally...its from sources like these that people make wrong interpretations...Parvatis playful jealously over Ganga can be made into a great insecurity(considering its a TV show-also ive read some adapted works on websites that Potray Parvati as very insecure)...im hoping they dont show that!

frankly i dont think showing emotions like insecurity etc between Gods and Godesses is wrong-as long as they dont destory the story line, because if you see Maximum of the curses,wars etc which took place took place because of such emotions existing...

i guess we are thinking far too much before we have even seen the episode...lets wait and watch-im sure the Cvs wont do something dumb

i agree they cant show a love triangle like that and kalidas has been known to exagerate stories. He exagerated shakuntala and now all shows depict her as written by kalidas. I hope CV Understand that they are talking of shiv parvati and ganga not some mare mortals whose story they can twist

I guess the main pt is Parvati, who should be seen as an adudlt in few days. Let's concentrate on her, why bother about Ganga, so much. 😆

Ganga is pretty-but her Voice!!arggghhh,when she first opened her mouth i wondered if they had dubbed her voice or she had a sore throat🤣

know ..15 -20 years ago I would agreed and have done the same ...but after meeting so many ppl in these years ...you will see things different and understand that not every relation should be named...
