So I'm a little confused as to the purpose of this thread. Are you questioning whether Indians truly are an inconsiderate bunch of people based on a few random observations? Or are you stating as a fact that Indians are inconsiderate and trying to gain a deeper understanding of the art and philosophy of being inconsiderate?

😛

Indians are termed as inconsiderate based on facts observed, on day to day scenarios (eg: https://www.boloji.com/opinion/0238.htm )

Reason?

A. Lack Etiquettes/Ethics/Moral OR B.understanding/awareness of CIVIC CODES

Still have a problem?😕 How about, some inconsiderate Indians (you can't deny that) exists, why?

I no longer have a problem now that you've rephrased your question to some inconsiderate Indians 😉 ...alrighty then...so the reason some Indians tend to be inconsiderate is the same reason why certain people from certain other races also tend to be inconsiderate - it all boils down to poor upbringing...nobody taught them any better 😛

^ Now if you'd just agreed with me in the first place, I wouldn't have had to waste all those pages now would I? 😛

oh i wouldnt call that poor upbringing. ever seen rich old money with good upbringing stand in line for anything? i think it all comes down to who has the most faltu amount of time.😉

btw, i do think that some indians have poor etiquette. especially in matters relating to food. whether it's eating in public with grimy hands, using their dirty right hand for the serving spoon to soil it for everyone else, licking their fingers to extract all the flavors out from the spices, going any which way on the line including bending across the table, eating like there is no tomorrow, followed by belching like a cow, or finally letting off exuberantly into the atmosphere, laundry list would be long😆

now that i would consider poor training in etiquette. or an upbringing where the focus was on other more important things in life, like survival?😊

Rich upbringing does not necessarily mean good upbringing.
And yes, I agree with your points. You said it better than I did. 😊

I met this Englishman who lamented upon a fellow passenger (Indian) on lack of knowledge on proper useage of forks, inability to distinguish between a dinner fork and a dessert fork..... Its just another matter that this "gentleman" was digging his nose with his finger on the dinner table with much gusto😊

What made matters more interesting that night on the dinner table was another French gentleman who replied to the Englishman that his spiritual Guru, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who propagates the art of living recommends use of fingers to eat food as it helps in better digestion etc.

Concur with the part highlighted in blue.
