There seems to be a spate of negative articles about Indians - first there was that one about Mumbai being the rudest city in the world, then this one and a few days ago I read on the TOI website about Indians being the worst tourists ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. Mujhe to foreign hand nazar aa raha hai ๐Ÿ˜†

Don't know about stereotyping, but everytime I have been at the receiving end of people cutting a queue - it has been at the hands of my fellow countrymen/women. This is my personal experience, but I could be a minority. During my last trip to India, this lady at the Dubai airport had paid the porter to cut into the queue. Unfortunately for both of them, they decided to jump in just before it was my turn at the check-in counter. I made sure I had her sent back to the very end!!!

Disagreed. What if you read in an article that the French don't shower, and then started a thread on the French lacking hygiene - would that be fair? Fact is not all Indians are inconsiderate. For every Indian that cuts the queue, there is an Indian elsewhere who allows a mother and baby to cut ahead of him/her in the queue. Etiquette isn't a race issue - it varies from individual to individual and has absolutely nothing to do with your race, and it just isn't fair to stereotype and place all Indians into a certain category. And yes, you (perhaps unintentionally) are stereotyping Indians - a fact observed would be if you stalked every Indian there is on the planet and observed their etiquette/morals/civic codes.

Yes why not!! French don't take bath, if I was french, then would have tried to raise it to fellow frenchians and understand why is it like that๐Ÿ˜‰ or is it true or not... if its not true then good for my community, but if yes then Also, Freedom of speech ๐Ÿ˜‰ ... If you don't agree fine with me๐Ÿ˜›.

History has just been created by these words for me from my souten ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†. Raunaq, I used to be a very laid-back person, but one can only take so much. I have never jumped a queue - hence, now I never allow it to happen. Bolo, kahan le chal rahi ho???๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†

Have several experience, perhaps minority, but why do end at the same place and time๐Ÿ˜‰ when I am izzat sey standing in the queue๐Ÿ˜†. Same here no matter but make sure person is back in line and keep a watch he/she doesn't do the same in parallel lines...๐Ÿ˜ƒ

i disagree with the poster using the word indians am an indian i never break any queue. so all r not the same. and this thing abt queue is done mostly by illiterate people. so if people r not aware of the things they cant understand things then how can u critisize them. they dont knw the code of conduct only.and in india so much poppulation that the queues r so long that people do get tired and that too in heat (indian heat ) so some times people do get frustrated. if u have all the amenities and luxuries then y would u do such things? like if 2 or 3 people r there in a line y would u break it?

๐Ÿ˜† reading ur response here, have read you in BigBoss forum beofre...

Did you read the post correctly?? Did the poster mentioned his/ her personal opinion?? its a very generic post Quote from original post " It is said that" ting ting... I see no need to explain how much of an Indian I am, but whatever is mentioned is the truth... for minority but it is. Being an Indian, Yes! I can say for sure civic codes are not understood or enforced in home country, reason of some actions that are not acceptable in globalized world or even in home country, must be lucky to never face it๐Ÿ˜ƒNot one but there are several instances to support my point.

No one is critizing here, trying to get to root cause and target whats wrong for remedician/awareness. Example you brought up, sorry but that NO EXCUSE, for actions. There are frustratng situations, instances etc etc independant of populations, where queues are big but still civic code is followed. Wonder with such lame excuses of wrong actions are we promoting jungle rule๐Ÿ˜›

i dont agree with you on this opinion. i couldnt stop myself from raising this question to you how can that be an excuse to break the queues? ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜• thats a very lame excuse, if thats the case, then everyone should break the line instead of fainting. i am sorry but this statement doesnt make sense. there are places where there are more than 100 people standing in a line, and people still bear the queue in intense heat ๐Ÿ˜›

As mittijalebi said in her first post, I agree that we Indians do not lack in morals but generally fail miserably in etiquettes. Abb aaj ka example hee lo...we went to temple and later when we were having our prasad, this uncle ji choked on his food and he was sitting right in front of us....he picked his water cup and did ultee then and there ๐Ÿคข ....at the table ๐Ÿคข ...needless to say, we were not able to even swallow the morsel that was in our mouth and left the table immediately.

I still am feeling queasy seeing him do that with all the sound affects of gala khakhaarna etc ๐Ÿ˜ก
