I absolutely agree with what Monica said. Especially the last line, dont look at the clothes, embrace the personality 😃

The sort of clothes u wear is completely up to you , you wear what you are comfortable in. Some people might find it comfortable to walk around in skimpy clothes, while others might not.

At the end of the day, you should stick to your beliefs, and not judge people on the way they look or dress, but for the people they are. 😊

yes, that's right. but a woman has an extra part to cover.......thus a topless man and a topless women arent looked at in the same way.....and because of that additional part which ought to be covered(unless one is a hollywood celebrity and agree to pose nude for the cover of a magazine🤢🤢🤢), women are touted as sex objects(not all, but those who have it and flaunt it) ...What importance do Jessica Alba and Mallika Sherawat command without their twin assets anyway..ZILCH!!!!...Women have the additional responsibity cover up decently and there, a man definitely has the edge over a woman as he can afford to be a wee bit less careful than a woman(and that's the way Nature has intended it to be)....Its definitely not the same when a very healthy boy wears a tight body hugging shirt and a very healthy girl wears dons a similar ensemble🤢

ya..this i agree with....male and female anatomy is different and therefore, a topless male is not looked down upon...but if a woman were to go topless, it would become a big deal (remember janet jackson at the superbowl a few years ago?) it isnt exactly double standards..itz jus the way we are made..and no1 can do anything ab it....now if a man were 2 go out bottom less..im sure it wud b jus as big a deal as if a woman were 2 go out topless

unfortunately, although people are aware of the fact that others shouldn't be judged by clothes, at the end of the day Mallika sherwat, bipasha basu n rakhi get smacked. we can never change the society rule which believes that those who can't keep their body covered, can't really safeguard their own prestige either.

Its all very nice to say dont look at the clothes embrace the personality etc...but when push comes to shove..if i see a half nude person, male or female, i'd obviously first notice that they are half nude! cant help! it's human nature...so why dont those folks who want to be loved for their "personality" actually put that on display instead of their body. And i have never really understood the compulsion some wome seem to have to wear bare mininum clothes to show they are liberated. Liberated? From what? From clothing perhaps? But arent these people actually putting liberation in reverse gear by showing that for a woman to get noticed she has to take of her clothes? Do you think a Malaika is in anyway more liberated and powerful than say a Sonia Gandhi, Condoleeza Rice or Kiran Shaw Majumdar? Oddly enough these women, who actually make a damn difference in this world (far more than Malaika neway) dont feel the need to shed clothes to show that they are "liberated"!

i'm not sure but if females are attracting men based on looks and skin than men are also stupid to fall for them.
to be very honest i respect everyone except hookers.only hookers wear short dress for wrong reason.

I agree with you. Men are also cuplrits, and everyone has a right to be respected regardless of clothes.

Embracing the personality IS more important, even if it is not easy. Example: My guy friend met a great girl, who was modest, but turned out to be the biggest b*tch ever. I asked him the reason why he went out with her, his answer: SHe was nicely dressed!!!😕

If you will only base your relationship on what other people are wearing and the first impression they make, you will be very dissapointed.🤢

I know it is more noticeable if you see someone with a miniskirt, but the thing is you will never know how they are when you meet them.

If you happen to meet someone who is dressed conservatively, and immediately decide to befriend them instead of a girl in a mini-skirt, but later you found the "modestly" dressed girl is a snob and/or a total slut, what will happen then.

The reason why I am a tad bit upset people look a the clothes more is because I wear skirts, tank-tops, tube tops, but I know how to wear them.

I won't wear a miniskirt, tube or tank top to a temple or my aunties house, but I can wear them out with my friends, or to the shopping mall or a dance club. My school allows some kinds of tank tops, no tube tops, and also allow miniskirts, as long as it isn't too short and covers everything that is supposed to be covered.

The key to wearing short clothes is to wear them to the right places.

Yes, maybe we see stars with short clothes in movies and pictures, but do you think they actually go out shopping, to the temple, or to the market with short clothes?

But personality has a lot to do with dressing code. That is why even an immodest person who dresses up neatly is respected in the society. To know someone's personality we have to go deep down into her life, which is impossible to do unless that she is a friend. First impression is the last impression. If I see an unknown girl in mini skirt on the road my first impression about her will be that she is vulgar. And of course this impression about her won't change for me. Why? Because she is a stranger and I will not go down to ask her what her personality type is.

If you are a modest person, I respect that,

When I wear skirts in front of friends, it is because we share common tastes in clothing.

And also, many of my friends are girls, so I am not wearing anything to please other people. I wear what I like, not what others may like.

Ok, it is agree we won't go up to a stranger and ask about their personalities, regardless of what they are wearing.

But I have seen many business suits and interview outfits that have short skirts, as they are more popular and good for hot weather.

I know cheerleaders uniforms have short skirts, and most private schools require uniforms, and a short skirt is a part of the girls outfit almost always.

And tennis players also wear short tennis skirts.

So are they all vulgar?😕

I live in United States. Even here at work place a woman in short skirt is seen with disgrace. As a matter of fact, when we go to take a job we are given a complete paper that explains what we are allowed to wear in the work place. And on this paper we are strictly told that anything mini is not allowed. So I haven't seen any woman at a work place wearing anything short. Yes, in Hollywood movies we see some office women in short skirt, but it is done there to exaggerate glamour. And what is shown in Hollywood movies is far from what is real. As for cheerleaders, we all who have graduated from high school are aware of their character. Also, one reason why cheerleaders wear short skirt is to grab attention of all those who go to watch the football match. In tennis, yes women are allowed to wear short skirt. The boys just begin to enjoy it when they jump and the panties get exposed!
