This may be an OT thread but members can come and do their chitter chatter here rather than doing so in the case threads and eventually cluttering them.

All the chit chat you wish to do like commeting on Emoticons, Congratulate members when they reach a certain post count, admire someone's profile pic, getting to know another member, or any topic like this feel free to continue HERE 😊.

What happens very often is that another serious discussion triggers off the chit-chat.

I remember an incident where a few members here had a discussion about 'Case of the Murderous affair' and that turned into a pastry eating competition.

If suddenly moved to another thread, it may become off-context. I feel we should allow 2-3 posts to go slightly OT and then further discussions can come to this thread by mentioning on the other thread.

Well I opened this thread looking at the last 2 pages in the Asylum Murder case thread, all that could come here. Then there are those congratulatory messages which take over so many pages, all that can come here too.

And we are not one to really allow anything Viz, people will do what they want to do. We can only make suggestions and this is just that, a suggestion.

Just something I wanted to ask all members.

Of late, we seem to be having too many sticky topics on the main page. There are 2 episodes per week. Each of these have a video update by Nipun and written update by Priya.

In addition, we have a DOTW contest, a MOTW and a 'Write a scene' contest which are made sticky. That's a total of 7 stickies at any point in time.

Is there any way can change this so that there are a max of 4 stickies? Please post your views.

(I was wondering where to post this query....this thread really helped)

I agree we have too many stickies. Hmmm How about having one sticky thread for all our weekly discussions. In the second post of this thread we will give the latest links to DOTW, MOTW and Write a Scene. And about the Video and Written Update stickies, we coild put the respective case thread as a sticky as it has all the links. That would reduce the number to 3 at an average.

That again poses a problem. Each of these is handled by a different person.

Nipun for videos, Priya for updates, DOTW by Bhavana, Somu or Shag(not sure, sorry), MOTW by Chinnu.

Nipun and Priya need to create new threads for their updates. They cannot make a post within the episode thread. And they are part of the dev team with rights to make sticky threads. The 4 stickies are sort of fixed.

And we cannot have one thread for 3 contests. People need to see the threads on page one. Otherwise, we'll not get enough participants.
