I have changed the title of this thread as we are having some important discussions here.. a renovation of sorts..

@ Visrom:
I don't think anyone should be offended if you gave your inputs. We are entitled to our own opinions. We just want that when an activity is introduced it gets maximum response..otherwise its a waste of effort of the one who took time organizing it..right?

Any more inputs? I would really love to read your views. And please feel free to correct me wherever you felt I was wrong. I don't mind.
I will appreciate if you guys came up with new ideas to make out forum member friendly.

Hmm I don't think I will able to do that. I am not very active on the forum, nor am I watching the show regularly. I can do what I am doing now - collating case related links in the first post. Also personally I don't think the case thread is the right place to post Highlights. IMO We should let that be case / episode specific.

Since you have chnage the title. ShouId I open a new CHIT CHAT thread. We really need one. As members start talking amon them selves in the case threads and for pages we don't fine anything related to the case.

the detective of the week idea was interesting. and in hall of fame, the ranking is on which basis? can you explain, moderator.

That is the real M.O.T.W doesn' t it? so why we need another thread like this?😊

Our Discussion So far:

1) NEW FORMAT OF THE MEMBER OF THE WEEK (MOTW)

MOTWs from on should be based on the CID HALL OF FAME every week. The member who created maximum post and had received maximum approval from members the whole week deserves to be on the CID HOT SEAT for the week.

2) Discussion Threads by Prabha will now contain the
Current Happenings Of our section as well:

3) Cut down the weekly contests.
Contests are mainly held twice or thrice a month where we award the winner+runner ups. Giving out presents to the participants

4) Written Update and Video Updates need individual threads
These will be kept sticky for 3 days ( Sunday-Tuesday)

5) DOTW and MOTW can be opened depending on the response.

The moment the participation falls from lets say 4 pg to a total of 2 page.. it means members are loosing interest. This is when its the topic openers responsibility to modify the thread. OR Post GOTWs ( Game Of The Week)- Organizer's choice

The current format was suggested by me, firstly because the member doing was doing something like for the first time, so wanted to an easy start. Secondly the new format is very ambiguous. To check which post got max likes for s week.... How is that selection to be carried forward??

I suggested this because usually the discussions goes off-topic and members end up discussing about actors wardrobes/ a particular interesting comment made in some other post etc. I have read some where the discussions pretty much turned into chat room.

However, its up to you really if you would like to add them or not. It was just a suggestion.

Sorry Ambrosia I don't think I will be able to take that forward. I suggest someone who can do it take the responsibility of opening the new case thread then. I am not as active as I used to be anymore.

On the basis of CID HALL OF FAME that you can see on top of the section page.
It is done by the basis of whoever received MAXIMUM LIKES/HITS in their post throughout the week.
