angie, how well analyzed. Yes, amma's charactor exist one or the otherway..but they dumped her too when it came to burning track. after that CV failed to thread her well in that necklace.. and ofcourse, Vishaka came back with so much mystery into the scne, but after the burning track, as u mentioned it iwas really illogical from the cV side to thread her against Radhika once again...Actually, Amma's character in the beginning was realistic. There are many old women like her who are prejudiced because this is what they were taught. If the prejudice is combined with malice as was in the case of Amma, it can be very damaging. So, I could understand Amma's character in the beginning. They showed her as having no problem with Radhika doing all the work including cooking the meals. But, she didn't want Radhika to serve her the food. Similarly, she acted as all religious, but had no problem sending Vishaka - an unmarried girl with a married guy. Her brainwashing Vaishali was also ok. It was the burning track where she became this intensely evil woman and chunnu munnu never punished her for that. Last year, viewers were waiting for the track where Amma would be exposed and disowned by her son. But, then the burning track was unbearable and we all just wanted her character to be punished and be away from the serial. That's why Radhika and PF not mourning Shantanu's death was so unrealistic. In what way what his crime worse than Amma's?
Now, Vishaka was never shown to be very intelligent and could brainwashed easily. But, it never made sense for her to be brainwashed against Radhika after the burning track. Afterall, Radhika didn't have to save her and definitely didn't need to get burnt. So, Vishaka after that incident could never think that Radhika was selfish. It just became illogical after that incident.
