Avinash Sachdev shares his Chhoti Bahu experience exclusively with Telly Buzz

Dev is the name which made Avinash Sachdev a popular actor. Avinash Sachdev speaks about his journey with Zee TV's 'Chhoti Bahu', his rapport with the co actors, his bonding with the set and much more exclusively to TellyBuzz.

What does Chhoti Bahu as a show mean to you?
Well, 'Chhoti Bahu' was the greatest phase of my life. Though it was my 4th show to act in, it became the most important turning point. I would like to draw a thin line between 'Chhoti Bahu' and the other 3 shows taking the unity of the actors into consideration. Because generally we see there is no unity within the actors but this was the show where you would find a rapport between each and every actor apart from the unit members. No one was allowed to sit alone in their make up room to have lunch, as everyone was forced to compulsorily sit together during lunch time. So that was the reason why Chhoti Bahu was so close to me.

Misti, thanks 4 da link. I think both are really good:) though i love rubi's acting more... There is no dearth of pretty faces in the industry but few can act as good as rubina in their 1st show (from my 5 years of serial viewing)... She really wasn't given much credit as should have been given. I hope he doesn't do reality shows much though its his personal choice... Reality shows aren't good for one's reputation and only few have gained from doing reality shows. I want avina together in a new show and love them but if it helps their career and challenges them as actors, i wouldn't mind them doing shows separately. Getting the role of a lead is pretty hard and if its a good one its better grabbing it

Anyway I am finding it very interesting regarding publication of this article now.....I mean why this fascination for Avinash now? Wonder what is the channel/PH upto?😉😆 The link to this invisible article was there on CB forum page for a long time and suddenly today it appears.......is it the magic of the TRPs? 😉😆😆

And Radha the speculation factor is soon going to go through the roof.😉😆

Avinash is so cute If there is Rubina around me, I don't need encouragements.

So nice of Avinash to say Rubina is a better actor, I think both are really good.

Suddenly the channel take the decision to end CB, you can't end your shows suddenly especially a show who has good trp and is popular. This only shows what kinda bad shape Zee tv is right now. Buch of lairs ( 6 monts extension) They have no respect for their own shows. They should learn from Star plus. Come on zee tv just admit your mistake and give Avina a new show or CB 2!

Also agree with Avinash with the Kahna element, he also played a big role in the succes of CB. I loved to scenes cute Radhika with her Kahna.

Come back with Rubina on tv Avinash. 😉 Miss you!

Misti thanks for sharing..Btw loved his confession abt Rubi being better then him..Nice way to acknowledge a talented co-star..

Hope we manage to get CB2 with different story altogether...and he can get desired role in it😉

CB was in a way very unique show and true by Kanha grace it was loved by many till the end

Just wondering if Avinash gave this interview after constantly monitoring the MI. All of us felt he needed to go to work and not keep hanging at home, looks like he also agreed with this thought process of ours.

His list of admiration of Rubina seems to be endless---very good at heart, adorable, beautiful, talented actress, what next?😉

Living in the US and not involved in the Indian community as much, my thought processes tend to differ from the rest....

I read in Chalhov's thread that Zee is the first channel to enter the Neilson's race - like the ratings race in India - that dictates revenues for the channel based on the rankings.

If that is the case, Zee needs to get a mega broom and clean its hallways and come out with products that are sustainable in the competitive market.

Either the shananigans that we have witnessed lately are part due to that mad dash to do that and abondoning PR in the process or the company is being run by a bunch of yahoos who don't know how to manage a corporation.

Interesting. The missing article is finally found. I wonder if moon and tides have something to do with it. Wow, suddenly so much information about Avinash. Also, his response was interesting in terms of closure of the show and I loved his answer to the work related question.

During that most obnoxious phase of Abhay track (end of July, August) where Dev was just repeating "biwi, baccha and parivaar" line, Avinash was asked about his track. He had sarcastically said that all his work was taken from him. Previously, he used to go to mutt or trust office and he wasn't going there anymore. Then, in Agra he used to look after properties and suddenly there was no work. All he did was sit in the house and repeat these dialogues which is so true. Last year, they showed him working in the office and suddenly after that second marriage, he was shown to be sitting in the house all day playing lover boy. As audience, we were expecting that they would show some story of embezzlement between chachoo and Dev and then would show differences with Mahants and the company on religious issues. But, no story of work related conflict was ever shown. It was all Dev and his fake wives with fake wives having an upper hand for no reason or rhyme.

You are welcome priyanka.........as for their future shows I want them to do one that will help them grow as actors and to experience characters that they have not done before. Sky is the limit and it is now time for them to fly.
